Inner Presence

“Maturity has nothing to do with your life experiences. It has something to do with you inward journey, experiences of the inner.”
~Osho~

Presence is achieved by going inward and accessing grace. The ego disappears, the roles and life situations become transparent and only empowered silence remains. When you begin to realize that you are much, much more than the stories of the mind, you have planted the seeds of your own spiritual maturity.

Existence itself is ready to communicate with you. Go inward and listen. The Divine seeks expression through you – allow it to flow without limitation. Be. Spiritual maturity is the realization of your potential.

As your awareness opens to new levels, your energy begins to have a greater impact – not only on yourself and those around you but also on the collective consciousness of the planet. This is how we participate in the awakening of which we are all a part.

The greatest gift that you can give is conscious Presence. Often, spiritual seekers are called upon to be frequency holders whose peacefulness can transform others’ energetic fields. From this place of balance we can share healing energy, light and prayers while holding the frequency of love.

Authentic Joy

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
~Ashley Smith~

This is the moment of tremendous healing and transformation. Why not? The only moment that truly exists is the Now and there is no need to delay the evolution of your spirit. Honor the awakenings that have come from walking through moments of darkness.  All paths are sacred journeys which lead us into the light of awareness.

Judgment of others is the quickest way to bring our attention to something within us which is ready to be healed. Since we all act as mirrors for one another, utilize those moments of ego related thought and reactivity to address the shadows aspects of the Self that are ready to be integrated and expressed in positive ways. Often, the result is an expansion of compassion and acceptance.

There are many wonders within you waiting to be discovered. The myriad facets of your unique expression of life sparkle by reflecting the light around you. Remember to be patient and gentle with yourself and allow the joy of the journey to be your guide. There is much more to life than meets the eye and the best is yet to come.

Loving Self Talk

Sutra: Sat Chit Ananda (saht chit ah-NAN-dah)
Meaning: My inner dialogue reflects the fire of my soul

“The mantra – sat chit ananda – tells us that our soul is that place which is spontaneously love, knowingness, and bliss.”
~Deepak Chopra~

Expand your consciousness through mindful experience. When your self talk is aligned with the love of the Divine, you are in tune with universal consciousness. Your inner wisdom, grace and acceptance create an aura of empowerment that emanates from you in myriad ways.

This power, unlike ego-generated self confidence, is not based upon outside factors and therefore is not reliant upon them. Money, relationships, health and experiences can then ebb and flow. Fear dissipates and life becomes an exploration of experience.

Loving and supportive inner dialogue helps us break free from old patterns of limiting thoughts and beliefs. It promotes spiritual development and accelerates positive change.

Observe the ego when it arises. Bless it for the lessons it has come to teach and then choose to see beyond it to the fire of your soul. Quieting the voice of ego will allow the vibrant light of your inner beauty to shine through.

What Lies Within

“Be the reason someone smiles. Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.”
~Roy T. Bennett~

In the present moment there is no regret, there is no worry. Only infinite possibility. What we choose to think dictates our state of happiness. What if you decided to greet each moment with only the willingness to experience it as it is with no mental construct? You would free yourself from the bondage of the mind.

Seek to bring stillness into your daily experience. Check in with your body periodically throughout the day. Notice whether you feel tense or simply able to enjoy the task at hand. It can be surprising how often we discover that the ego has subtly crept in to create dissatisfaction, when in reality, all is well.

Your potential is vast. There are many different paths from which to choose, so find one that brings you joy. Create healthy relationships that allow enough space for each person to thrive. In love, step out of the role of “fixer” and into a position of support. As you awaken to your true, infinite nature, you’ll become a source of kindness and consistency, a space of peace in an ever-changing world.

Be Unique

“By being yourself you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before.”
~Edwin Elliott~

It’s time to stop playing it safe and embrace your unique way of being in the world. Begin by recognizing what brings joy into your experience and go from there.

Imagine how it would feel to be genuinely excited by the various things the day has to offer. What if you viewed every interaction as an opportunity to be amazed? What if the majority of your experience was flitting from one joyful moment to another? Your expectation has a lot to do with your interpretation of life.

On my gratitude walk yesterday I saw a large bird fly up from the ground to the lowest branch of a large oak tree. Thinking I might get to see a hawk up close, Kizzy, Minky and I went to investigate. There I saw the duck pictured above. She, in spite of our close proximity, spent several minutes exploring life from a new perspective while her mate waited below. In a way this was a far more wonderful experience because her behavior was so uniquely different. It was a blessing to find inspiration in such a simple and unexpected moment.

Create Your Own Foundation

“The more conscious that a being becomes, the more he can use any occupation as a vehicle for spreading light.”
~Ram Dass~

Our experiences, perception and insight are an inspiration to those with whom we interact. As we grow in consciousness, we build a unique foundation that supports us no matter what unfolds. This is how the awakened soul teaches.

Whatever your spiritual truths, sprinkle them throughout every aspect of your life. The peace you discover in mediation or gratitude changes how you wait in line, interact with your family or do your work. Everything in your experience is your spiritual practice. See how consistent you can become.

Life provides opportunities to observe how we respond to our challenges and how willing we are to accept the gifts of loving kindness that surround us. Old souls thrive by being different. We cultivate our unique way of being in the world by celebrating the journey.

Find your footing. Consciousness is the foundation from which you can share your Beingness. Imagine that you are firelight flickering in the darkness. The flames of love provide comfort, warmth and authentic connection to those around you.

Righteous Anger

“Only in transcendence can there be transformation. When you keep rising from where you are right now, one day you’ll be profoundly transformed.”
~Sadhguru~

To see another as an enemy is the antithesis of higher consciousness. As we awaken, the ego has to become more subtle and this is often experienced as righteous anger. When in the grip of opinion or judgment we lose sight of the love which connects us.

Many spiritual students goes through a phase where others’ unconsciousness is extremely distasteful. Moving into blame or hatred, words like “evil” or “they” get peppered throughout their vernacular. Realize that every single being on the planet comes from the same source – we are One. The only difference between us is where someone currently resides on the path of enlightenment.

There is no Other. There is only opportunity to transform through love, kindness, patience and compassion. When you can rise above and step into love, your interpretation of the world will expand. Lack of reactivity will allow you to express yourself in ways that are empowered and transformative.

Empowerment

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”
~Maya Angelou~
Empowerment is simply taking full responsibility for your own joy in the present moment. Fortunately, that frees us from waiting for others to change or attaching expectation to outcomes. No matter what you wish to change, begin now. Take one conscious step forward and observe how life unfolds. You may decide to pivot direction, shift an old behavioral pattern or change your thoughts.
For instance, if you wish to see more harmony in your relationships, make a dedicated effort not to participate in conflict by purposely remaining neutral or positive. When you choose your words carefully, responding rather than reacting, you’ll discover a different type of strength.
Anger solves nothing. It feeds energy into negative circumstances and strengthens them. The spiritual seeker notices anger when it arises, processes it internally by recognizing that reactivity is in play and chooses to pause, thereby creating space around the situation. These simple moments of presence and intention can transform our experience in surprising ways.

Opportunities for Growth

“For most people, their spiritual teacher is their suffering. Because eventually the suffering brings about awakening.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

Suffering, whether self-inflicted or the result of outside events, brings hidden aspects of our shadow self to the surface of our consciousness. Often these are things that have been previously repressed or ignored and their appearance now has great import on your path of transformation.

When you are faced with intense internal challenges, consider viewing them as teachers rather than something that needs to be eradicated or hidden. Look deeply within to the source of your conflict and then purposely surround it with love and compassion. Know that you are on the verge of an awakening.

These inner paradoxes lead us down roads we would never consciously choose to travel. They call upon us to shatter the ego-self and strip away things and ideas that no longer serve us. Intensity accelerates your spiritual growth in ways that simple study and desire cannot. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you are ready for this. Your spirit has requested movement and the fact that something new is arising indicates that you are ready to navigate your way to higher levels of consciousness.

Inspiration

“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”
~Albert Schweitzer~

The joy of creativity lies in the act of creating itself. When we open to inspiration, our energy and actions enhance life on every level. We cultivate more beauty, gratitude, joyfulness and passion in our experience. Whether you write, play music, celebrate the art of cooking, add your flair while decorating your sacred space or dance your way through raindrops, in creativity we discover our unique connection to the Divine.

Creativity connects you to your bliss and adds dimension to your experience. In solitude you find a space to play alone in your vision. You experiment without fear, discard what doesn’t work and celebrate when it feels right. In the greatest moments thought disappears, the art disappears, the artist disappears and all that remains is the Divine, expressing itself in physical form.

Be the watcher, the observer as you dance with Inspiration. Open to expression from the highest vibration possible and you will touch the energy of the masters. Then life itself becomes a mystical experience, for you are a channel of light and wonderment.
