All is perfect, whole and complete

The more you share, the more you will have.

“If you live totally, intensely, then you are free, you have lived the moment and it is finished. You don’t look back and you don’t look ahead, you simply remain here now.”
~Osho~

You are right where you need to be. Life is unfolding in the perfect way for the next phase of your souls growth. You cannot make a mistake. You cannot become lost (although at times you may believe you are) and you are loved and supported on every level of existence.

Whatever you choose to experience, immerse yourself within it. Let the flames of passion consume the illusions until you are left only with the truth of your infinite, Divine nature. Become lost within the beauty of life. Let it inspire your journey and discover the liberation which is born of celebration and discovery.

Today my intention is to live this moment fully.
I am a lifetime student of love.

Living as a conscious co-creator

Everything you experience has meaning and purpose.

“When you surrender to what is and so become fully present, the past ceases to have any power. The realm of Being, which had been obscured by the mind, then opens up. Suddenly, a great stillness arises within you, an unfathomable sense of peace. And within that peace, there is great joy. And within that joy, there is love. And at the innermost core, there is the sacred, the immeasurable, That which cannot be named.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

When we cling to ideas of how circumstances should be, we create suffering in our experience. Resistance indicates that we are fighting the flow of life, and yet many people have difficulty accepting change. We must honor and appreciate the highs and lows of life – all have purpose and meaning for our growth.

Our world is an experience of opposites and contrasts. Every situation is cyclic and impermanent, yet we often still choose to cling to mental ideals of perceived ‘rightness’, even when it causes us pain.

When you accept life as it is and choose to act within it from the highest level of consciousness possible, you create freedom in your life situations. Grace and ease will flow through you and you’ll discover that you are no longer affected by the mechanisms of the ego.

This allows you to be free to enjoy people and circumstances while they remain in your life. Each moment then becomes an expression of joy that cannot be affected by outside experience.

Today my intention is to honor every aspect of my life as sacred. This is the moment of transformation.

Happiness is a state of mind

Happiness is a choice, so is unhappiness.

“Inconsolable suffering can console us by making us feel special. But this feeling of special-ness diverts us from true freedom.”
~Ezra Bayda~

In his book, Beyond Happiness, Ezra Bayda teaches how to reach true contentment and that choosing to bring a sense of presence and awareness to the present moment can remove what seems to block us from happiness.

Utilize these three questions throughout all of your life situations, whether mundane or intense, and observe what arises.

  1. Am I truly happy right now?
  2. What blocks happiness?
  3. Can I surrender to what is?
Unhappiness can range from subtle dissatisfaction to outright anger. It’s important to periodically bring awareness to the Now in order to wake us from the world of illusion. Sometimes it can be challenging to determine what is truly causing anger to arise – the mind may want to say, “I don’t know” or shift into blame. Attempt to break through this by recording your thoughts or using a journal to see what patterns emerge. Surrender is not apathy or resignation; rather, it is an empowered decision to drop resistance. You have the ability to choose happiness Now.

Post these three questions where you’ll see them often – at work, in the car, around the house – and use the moments of your life as conscious spiritual practice.

Today my intention is to be content.

Making the ordinary extraordinary

Your life experiences change as you are transformed.

“A life of equanimity and appreciation is lived in the immediacy of the present – not in the mind.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Our lives, upon awakening, are filled with much of the same tasks we experienced prior to awakening. We still work, play, pay bills, prepare food and care for those we love while we seek our higher levels of consciousness. To the outsider, it may not appear especially enlightened; however, tasks that were once done only out of necessity now become expressions of joy in the present moment.

Rumi wrote, “Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place.” To me this speaks of silence, empowerment and peace. Our role is to bring a new quality of energy to all that we do. Your spirit can lift up the energy of those around you. An awakened spiritual seeker can transform the mundane into the ordinary because of the light that shines through them.

Today my intention is to bring sacredness to all that I do.

The healing waters of life

There is a place that you can visit anytime.

“Cleansing by sacred water specifically indicates that your emotional life and your life direction are being purified and healed.”
~Alana Fairchild~

When you feel out of balance, the following visualization can help you release energies that no longer serve you.

Imagine yourself standing next to the rivers of life. Stop and listen to the water as it cascades over the rocks. Feel the vitality and peace emanating from the moss covered oaks, the sounds of nature and realize that you have come to a place of peace, healing and transformation.

Breathe deeply – you are safe. You can now remove any negativity or imbalance from your mind, body and spirit. See yourself easily pulling heavy gray and black energies off and pack them firmly into a ball. You can release old memories, resentments or anger, ideas and beliefs, or simply any baggage you no longer wish to carry. Some things may be crystal clear, others murky, and that’s ok. There’s no need to understand. With each item you release, you feel lighter, freer and more joyful.

Now throw that ball as hard as you can at the rocks in the river. See it burst apart into a thousand pieces as the water begins to move it along. Immediately it begins to break down and dissipate and like a child you run alongside to see…

Suddenly you come to a place where the water is so deep it barely moves. It’s crystal clear and clean and you can see all the way to the bottom – tiny rocks and plant-life with fish darting among them. It may sound ridiculous but there are several angels across the way doing laundry.

So you smile and say to yourself, “If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for me.” One of those angels looks up at you and smiles in greeting, inviting you to drink of the waters of life. As you do, feel it changing and cleansing you on a cellular level. Breathe deeply as you feel sparkles of light tingling throughout the whole of your existence.

With gratitude, accept your blessings and open your eyes.

Today my intention is to remember that healing energy is all around me.

Listen to your inner wisdom

You can experience Oneness in a world of difference.

“Looking with a mind that’s awake reveals the shimmering pulse of life. Looking with a mind full of thoughts reveals only your thoughts.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Each of us has access to innate wisdom of lifetimes of experience. Our angels, spirit guides, healing masters and helpers consistently offer support and insight, yet, we often feel alone and confused.

To awaken is to learn how to listen with an open heart. Messages from the ego will cause anxiety and destroy your peace in the present moment, while authentic messages of wisdom will bring grace and empowerment – even in the midst of upheaval.

Find your own unique way of accessing your inner knowledge. Utilize gratitude, meditation, music, silence or be creative. All of life supports you on this journey. Know that you are loved every step of the way.

Today my intention is to be willing to receive love and support from the Universe. All that I need is already here.

Let the future take care of itself

Higher consciousness calls upon us to be deeply rooted in the Now.

“Must I fear what others fear?
Should I fear desolation
when there is abundance?
Should I fear darkness
when that light is shining everywhere?”
~Lao Tzu~

(from the Tao te Ching, 20th verse)

You can bring freedom into your life experience. When you find yourself striving for more or trying to please others at the expense of your own joy, choose instead to relax into the power of the present moment. Set down your burdens. Notice any “what ifs?” that arise – see how they steal your peace?

Be present, move into complete acceptance and see yourself as whole and complete. This empowered choice aligns you with the flow of life. We live in a thriving energy field. Our thoughts and beliefs send waves of energy throughout the Universe, only to have them return in unexpected and beautiful ways.

Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is. Everything unfolds in the way that is most appropriate for your souls evolution. You are a child of light – accept what is offered Now. Imagine having a worry-free existence. That is the gift that awaits you.

Today my intention is to recognize that I have everything I need to be peaceful, happy and content right now.

Cultural conditioning

Unconscious beliefs can silently run our lives.

“A spiritual teacher is sometimes necessary to help you uncover that one thing you do not wish to see.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Our culture is based upon doing rather than being. Throughout many facets of life, we are taught that we must take some action to fix, achieve, or be productive in order to feel happy and fulfilled.

A life of spiritual practice is often one of opposites. When a challenge arises or when we are triggered, take a moment to simply be with it. Allow yourself to be a loving witness to whatever unfolds in your experience rather than immediately jumping up to fix the problem. After all, it’s purpose has some meaning for your journey.

Remaining present and in a continuing state of acceptance is not passivity or apathy. Quite the opposite, it takes an incredible amount of conscious awareness and discipline to stay deeply centered in the Now – aware, empowered and aligned with grace.

Use the zen practice question, “What is this?” throughout the day and see what you discover.

Today my intention is to observe ways that I obstruct my own sense of peace and consciously bring myself back to a life of Presence.

Everything is music

Have you ever stopped to listen to the symphony of existence?

“If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.”
~Albert Einstein~

All of life plays its perfect part in the symphony of your experience. Dedicate a moment today to listen to the song of your heart. The beauty resides within the contrast and in the silences as much as the melody.

Step outside and hear the music of nature. Existence itself sings your name with messages of love. Feel the rhythm and allow it to move your soul. When you find the place where sound and spirit meet, you’ll discover a new depth and breadth of experience.

Become a pure channel for the creative energy of the Universe. Open yourself by learning to embrace periods of silence. Remove all distractions and focus on the beat of your heart and the breath as it fills your lungs. Realize that you are a living, evolving work of art.

Today my intention is to honor my path as sacred.

Inner Presence

Spiritual maturity is the realization of your potential.

“Maturity has nothing to do with your life experiences. It has something to do with you inward journey, experiences of the inner.”
~Osho~

Presence is achieved by going inward and accessing grace. The ego disappears, the roles and life situations become transparent and only empowered silence remains. When you begin to realize that you are much, much more than the stories of the mind, you have planted the seeds of your own spiritual maturity.

We seek validation from others when existence itself is ready to communicate with us. Go inward and free yourself. The Divine seeks expression through you – allow it to flow without limitation. Be.

Today my intention is to be a living flame of awareness.
