Meditation

“Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor.”
~Thich Nhat Hang~

In the midst of the bombardment of daily life, take time to just be – fully present, patient, easy, aware. Periodically quiet the mind, allow yourself to listen and bring stillness into your experience. Meditation, no matter how you choose to approach it, is an important part of staying balanced. There is a sanctuary within you where you can commune with the Divine.

Stillness and anxiety cannot coexist in the same space, nor can fear and love or hatred and peace. Every cell of your being is filled with Divine Intelligence and, in conscious awareness, the Universe responds. All that you seek is already within you.

Many people say that they don’t know how to meditate or feel that they can’t stop thinking. This is merely a product of the ego that sabotages your efforts before you begin. Just sit and be. Listen to the sounds you hear without identifying or categorizing. Notice the beat of your heart, subtle noises around the house or outside, and take one conscious breath… then another and another.

Creative Fire

“If you cling too much to logic you will never be able to be part of the living process that this existence is. Life is more than logic: life is paradox, life is mystery.”
~Osho~

The joy of creativity lies in the act of creating itself. When we open to inspiration, our energy and actions enhance life on every level. We cultivate more beauty, gratitude, joyfulness and passion in our experience. Whether you write, play music, celebrate the art of cooking, add your flair while decorating your sacred space or dance your way through raindrops, in creativity we discover our unique connection to the Divine.

Creativity connects you to your bliss and adds dimension to your experience. Solitude provides a space to play alone in your vision, to  experiment without fear, discard what doesn’t work and celebrate when it feels right. In moments of deep connection thought disappears, the art disappears, the artist disappears and all that remains is the Divine, expressing itself in physical form.

Express yourself from the highest vibration possible and you will touch the energy of the masters. Then, because you are a channel of light and wonderment, life becomes a powerful, mystical experience.

Peaceful Moments

“When our body, mind and soul are working in balance, we learn to handle any situation without internal or external stress. We learn to live a peaceful life.”
~Purvi Raniga~
In every moment you have a choice: reject or accept. To experience inner peace we must consciously choose to respond to life in a way that is mindful and engaged, yet filled with compassionate detachment. One who walks through the world with mastery and balance brings the gift of higher perception to those who are touched by their presence.
Create peaceful moments in your experience. Periodically enter the gap of ‘no mind’ and cultivate a sacred connection to the Divine that will keep you aligned with the most beautiful aspects of who you are. Stillness holds infinite potential and creates a space where transformation is possible.
Kindness is a way of being. Expanding consciousness calls upon us to purposely see the sacred in all things and all people, even those who cannot yet see it in themselves – especially those who cannot see it within themselves. And therein lies our work: To be the light in a world that is often beset by darkness and a living, thriving example of awareness in motion.

Attention and Energy

The thoughts we choose to think are the tools we use to paint the canvas of our lives.
~Louise Hay~
Whatever you place your attention on grows stronger in your experience. Keep this in mind when you speak and consciously choose to utilize your energy well. When you wish to create change, appreciate the perceived problem for igniting the spark of transformation and move consciously toward a solution. Once you’ve decided to take action, focus on the end result and let the universe handle the details.
The ego loves to sabotage the energetic flow by interjecting thoughts of “how?” or “when?” to distract you from empowered movement forward. Learn to trust the messages of the Universe. Seek a constant conversation with the Divine and experiment various ways to communicate. Some spiritual seekers enjoy utilizing numbers, others connect with the messages to be found through animals or trees, some play in the angelic realm or become more sensitive to energy and vibration. This is your journey and there are infinite ways to participate in your own growth.
Many walk through life without realizing their potential. Let your grace be so inspiring that it awakens grace in another.

The Spiritual Experience

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt~

There are times when we are transformed by new perceptions. Miracles unfold and we witness the Divine plan in operation all around us. These spiritual experiences are sprinkled throughout a lifetime, often filed away in journals or carried in memory.

But “experiencing” is learning to consistently live a life filled with wonder, to recognize the sacredness of the moment and recognize the Oneness that connects us. Let nature be your guide. Watch how it unfolds in majestic splendor – without fanfare – and hear the whispers of love that call us home.

All my healing work begins with this silent invocation: Sacred Mother, I come in honor of this person, this moment and this space as sacred. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service. In love we create a space where transformation can occur. What would your daily interactions be like if you chose to bring an attitude of reverence to each situation? Set your intention step into empowerment by experiencing the sacredness of the present moment.

Self-Love

“Stand up for who you are. Respect your Self and ignite the divine sparks in you. Access your powers. Choose your rights and work together with others to bring blessings into the lives.”
~Amit Ray~
There is nothing more beautiful than someone who shines from within…

Everyone who has manifested you into their life, has done so because of the unique light and energy that you possess. When you can be yourself, love yourself and occasionally laugh at yourself, you are providing them with the perfect experience.

It’s that lightness of non-expectation that is so appealing. When you first meet someone, the attraction begins because you are simply being you. When we load ourselves up with the weight of expectation, fear and desire, that beautiful, original and carefree spirit gets buried underneath layers of thought.

Love yourself. Reward yourself with thoughts of praise. Know that others respect you and appreciate all that you do. With our loving attitudes, we help to create a world where it is safe to love one another.

Worry

“Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.”
~Roy T. Bennett~
Ever wonder what would happen if you gave up the addiction to worry? Many masters have taught that worry is a waste of your precious energy. Live today consciously, mindfully attend to your tasks, be responsive rather than reactive, and allow tomorrow to take care of itself.
When you place your full attention on the present moment and do one task at a time, it drops from your consciousness. There is no need to carry additional thought about it. Worry arises only when something is left unaccomplished or we know that we have rushed through a task in order to get to the next thing.
To break the addiction, focus on doing one thing at a time – fully and completely. Your conscious attention will slow down your concept of time and everything will get completed, typically with greater accuracy than when it is rushed.
Practice extreme alignment with the Now and you’ll discover the love that rains down upon you from all dimensions. When you choose to see your life experience as an ongoing, evolving conversation between you and the Divine, it changes how you walk in the world.

What We Give

“A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.”
~William Shakespeare~
There are many opportunities to support one another on the path of awakening. The gifts we give may be subtle or profound, but never doubt the difference that you can make in someone’s life. Likewise, others are waiting to offer you support or messages from the Divine so it’s important to be open enough to receive.
Perchance a stranger greets you in a way that sparks illumination or triggers an idea – that was their purpose. There is great joy in running with new energy that slightly shifts your journey in a different direction. Follow the flow and see where spirit leads you. Your passion may, in turn, spark new life in someone else’s experience.
Our purpose is to fully participate in the ripple effect. We are all connected in myriad ways. The joy is in the journey.

The Way of Love

“Wherever you are, you are one with the clouds and one with the sun and the stars you see. You are one with everything. That is more true than I can say, and more true than you can hear.”
~Shunryu Suzuki~

Authentic change takes patience and consistency. While a flash flood can do some immediate damage, things tend to go back to normal once  the waters recede. The slow, constant movement of water, however, can carve through mountains, change the form of rock or ultimately lead itself onward to the sea.

Everything that you experience is multifaceted. On the surface it may prompt a quick interpretation; however, learning how to examine differing perspectives is a powerful tool. The immediate reaction is the flash flood, while mindfulness is the water that gently carves new openings through the hardest of energies.

When you choose to see yourself, the world, and all it contains as sacred, your behavior will transform. Everything pulsates with the vibrant energy of the Divine and for those who have eyes to see, all is love.

Creating a Joyful Life

I believe a joyful life is made up of joyful moments, gracefully strung together by trust, gratitude, inspiration, and faith.
Brené Brown
The littlest things can bring the greatest joy. It is created by the way that we appreciate and approach life. But, as with everything else, the experience of joy is a choice that we make again and again until it becomes our natural way of being.
When life is a mixture of tragedy and comedy, paradoxes and ridiculousness, laughter and love, we’re getting close. Sometimes it feels as if the world is running amok, and yet, in this moment there’s a beautiful kitten purring happily in my lap as I write. She brings a smile to my face as my heart is overwhelmed with joy. There will always be a blend of feeling deeply connected to the Divine in the midst navigating the challenges of life.
Notice all the opportunities to experience moments of joy, bliss, contentment, peace and mindfulness in your daily journey. You may come to realize that they are all around you, all the time. Sometimes, deep in the uncertain cacophony of life, a skyward glance to appreciate the clouds or stars will remind you of the continuity that exists. You are one with this permanence. You are infinite. You are love.
