Do your best

Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is.

“Our self-images define our own boundaries, limiting us to the narrow ideas of who we believe ourselves to be.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Every interaction has something to teach. Every moment, your soul is seeking to broaden its perception. With expanded consciousness we can see more clearly and begin to make more informed decisions. This is the slow and subtle process of awakening.

The ego may try to tell you that you should be farther along, more enlightened or belittle you for your humanness. Pay no attention. Simply do your best with what you have from where you are. The nature of the soul is to awaken and you are right where you need to be.

Accepting support from your soul group

Every lifetime we gather with members of our soul group to continue a journey that began long ago.

“A ‘heart-link’ describes the relationship between two persons who have known each other for many lifetimes and who have developed a deep and loving understanding of each other on an essence level.”
~Jose Stevens~

When you meet someone and have an immediate connection with them, chances are that you’ve interacted many, many times before. These relationships can often be confusing until one understands the feeling of Oneness is due to past soul work rather than the traditional relationship categories more commonly used.

Sometimes these beautiful souls come in to offer support, pivot your direction or remind you of what you’re here to accomplish. Follow your intuition and see what unfolds in your experience. Nothing can shake the foundation of soul friendship with those with whom you have a history.

Remember that there is much more to life than meets the eye. Everything serves a purpose and our love lifts one another up.

The journey to love

We don’t need to be loved. We need to be love.
“Spiritual practice is about increasingly entering into love – not personal love, but the love that is the nature of our being.”
~Ezra Bayda~

The true expression of joy is found in sharing our gifts, our light, our dreams, kindness and compassion without attachment or expectation. As you begin to feel more balanced and safe in the world, it becomes easier to be love and everything becomes a beautiful dance with the Divine.

What if every person in your life felt safe being themselves around you? What if your love and acceptance created a space where exploration was possible? What if it was impossible for them to fail? I believe that they would discover aspects of themselves that were never imagined…

When we choose to honor each path as sacred (yes, no matter how it may appear), we create a loving space filled with possibility.

Life is wonderful

Experiencing the contrasts of life opens our hearts and minds to new possibilities.

“What happens when we slow down and pay attention? Everything! Innumerable delights are right at hand.”
~Ezra Bayda~

You have the power to create wonder in your experience. Rather than placing your focus and attention on perceived problems, seek instead to recognize the beauty and abundance all around you. This purposeful choice will bring the needed clarity.

Even when things seem messy and confusing, all is well. You are constantly in the process of discovering new aspects of your strength and wisdom. Challenges offer us the opportunity to cultivate the attributes we so desperately seek to bring into the world of form. Whether you are ready to be more accepting, loving, forgiving or peaceful, life will meet you where you are and provide exactly what is needed for your growth.

Be Kind

Treat yourself with gentleness – you are an exquisite work of art in progress.

“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
~Dalai Lama~

People can often be harder on themselves then they would ever be to someone else. Self criticism is a habit that can only be broken through consistent self-love and supportive inner dialogue. When we learn to tend to our balance and be aware of our state of consciousness, we can more easily recognize the miracles that surround us.

When you are in balance, you have more to give those for whom you care – more compassion, patience, support, acceptance, kindness… you become a conduit for the love, light and laughter of the universe.

See your journey as sacred. Demonstrate gratitude to the body that has carried you through this life experience. Treat yourself well. We are here to transcend self-imposed limitations while discovering the Oneness that connects us.

Joy expands when it is shared. Let your unique expression of life spark joy in others.

Be love

Be the love you wish to see in the world.

“Love is the bridge between you and everything.”
~Rumi~

We are here to explore the infinite facets of love, no matter how they may appear. To live with an open heart is to fall madly in love with life. Then, it’s not about neediness or desire, but authentic recognition of the sacredness in another as well as within ourselves.

Those who grace your life may occasionally forget their beauty. To offer acceptance and support are the greatest gifts that we can give. Such kindnesses create the space in which a transformation can occur.

Should you feel blocked in your own experience, the Divine will always send something to remind you that you are loved. It may be a moment of grace, words from a stranger or the smile of a dog, but never doubt that you are loved and supported in myriad ways.

You are the dreamer and life is the dream. Why not make it sweet?

Magic, dreams and possibility

Road in magic dark forest

There is nothing more beautiful than the sharing of energy with intention.

“Our dreams are magic, and if respected, nurtured and honored, they ultimately bring an abundance of meaning and purpose to our lives. Dreams guide us as we reach for the stars, follow our heart’s desire and do the things we are passionate about. Dreams help weave the fabric of who we are, and they reveal what matters most to us. They allow our spirits to shine, and they reflect our uniqueness and authenticity.”
~Sandra Magsamen~

Threads of energy weave a tapestry of exquisite beauty and we are constantly in the process of creation. As we awaken, we have a greater capability to direct these energies consciously – to heal, learn and commune with each other and the world around us.

Seek to understand the connectedness of which we are all a part. There is no “other,” simply a dance of contrasts that awakens a world of infinite possibility. Remember, all that you see is but 1% of what is actually engaged around you. Send light and love across the miles for there is no limitation in time and space.

This moment is sacred and transformation is at hand. Scatter seeds of joy and nurture them with humor, love and positive intention. What does your garden grow?

New awareness

Let your life be your message.

“The more we practice with our own struggles and relate to them as our vehicle to awakening, the less we will judge our struggles as defects. Likewise in relationships: the more we can remember that others also have the wish to learn from their struggles, the less we will judge others as defective when we see them caught in their distress.”
~Ezra Bayda~

As we walk this journey of awakening, we undoubtedly draw in the perfect people and circumstances to facilitate our growth. Challenges or indecision help us to become aware of what is ready to be healed. Support arrives when we are willing to receive. When the student is ready, the teacher appears.

When you have a breakthrough, quietly share that new energy with the people in your life by being more peaceful, less reactive, quicker to accept or forgive. Those who are ready to learn from what you have to offer will be drawn to you. Otherwise, simply see your loving actions as seeds that may one day take root.

Consistently do your work. This world is our playground of discovery, filled with infinite possibility and there is always something new to discover.

Celtic Vows of Friendship

Love is simply discovering who you are in the presence of another.

“You must love in such a way that the person you love feels free.”
~Thich Nhat Hanh~

Relationships offer fertile ground for spiritual practice. When in doubt as to the appropriate action or response, utilize the Celtic vows of friendship. Ask yourself, “Am I honoring his or her path as sacred?” Often we try to get others to adjust to our path. The key is to allow enough space for each person to thrive while offering love and support.

It’s important to be self-observant. Are you bringing an open heart to your interactions or do you keep protective measures in place? Relating to another is authentic when we feel safe and empowered; therefore, notice when you are closed down and tend to your inner state of consciousness prior to your interactions to ensure that you are open.

Nothing is more important than your state of consciousness in the present moment. Zen calls upon us to reside in the Now without distraction. Practice being fully present with those who grace your life. You’ll discover that time slows as inner joy is awakened. Love creates a space in which a transformation can occur.

Act with integrity

Honor the present moment as sacred.
“Experiencing the deepest connection with life often requires taking a step into unknown territory.”
~Ezra Bayda~

When pretenses fall away and we stop seeking outside validation, we begin to discover a new level of authenticity. This inner grace and balance is demonstrated by how we choose to participate in the world.

As you change, the world around you is transformed. Your loving actions plant seeds of unlimited potential and, when you act with integrity, it becomes easier to release attachment to how life unfolds.

Love those who grace your experience by being yourself. They need your kindness, clarity, compassion and inspiration. You bring something beautiful and unique to the world and its shines naturally from within.
