Transcendence

How does consciousness expand?
By facing spiritual challenges with integrity, love and courage.

“To recognize one’s own insanity is, of course, the arising of sanity, the beginning of healing, of transcendence.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

Spiritual tools are not cultivated unless we are able to utilize them during the course of our day-to-day lives while witnessing their transformative nature. There will certainly be moments when we feel overwhelmed or confused – this is absolutely necessary for the evolving soul.

As awakening masters, we have a tremendous opportunity to turn and shine the light of consciousness upon our challenges. When we have the courage bring them into the light of day, we begin to understand the perfection inherent in these impactful situations which herald our growth into new playgrounds of consciousness.

The key is to handle each challenge with as much willingness, compassion, love and kindness as possible. Conscious practice strengthens our ability to rise above the mechanisms of the mind. There will be moments when you miss the mark. That’s natural; however, through observation, you can purposely utilize the tools you have amassed thus far. Keep track of your choices, your intentions and how often you are able to tap into higher wisdom. Each situation is a gift that transforms how you experience the world.

Joyfulness

Don’t wait for life to fall into place before you choose to be joyful.

“Live in joy, in love, even among those who hate. Live in joy, in health, even among the afflicted. Live in joy, in peace, even among the troubled. Look within. Be still. Free from fear and attachment, know the sweet joy of living in the way.”
~Buddha~

Each day is filled with infinite possibility and offers countless opportunities to be joyful, fulfilled, content… Your work is to consciously choose joy again and again. The ego-mind, as it is wont to do, will seek to disrupt your peace. It will find the worst “what ifs” or dwell upon regret in order to blind you to the beauty that is all around.

Rather than seeing the ego as the enemy or something to be overcome, consider it a teacher. When we can transform our inner state of consciousness, we bring new insight and interpretation to our life experience. Joy allows you to rise above the mechanisms of the ego.

Obviously, every life is filled with challenges and moments of sadness. The awakening soul learns how to navigate these moments without the ripples of intensity disturbing the peacefulness within.

Joy is transformative. It expands our outlook and frees the heart.

The paradox of heightened experience

Don’t hold back out of fear. Trust the processes of your awakening.

“Spiritual practice is a mixture of struggle and integration, of confusion and clarity, of discouragement and aspiration, of feeling failure and going deeper. Don’t imagine that the spiritual path is a straight line to a fixed goal.”
~Ezra Bayda~

We must simultaneously enter deeper into the experiences of life, yet consciously remain detached and aware throughout the process. The contrasts of dark and light blend together to teach us the nuances of compassion.

Immerse yourself in the present moment. Feel what you feel without judgment and honor the sacredness of the passion that propels you onward to new levels of adventure. Rather than seeking freedom with reckless abandon, choose to bring awareness and mastery to your encounters.

Expanding consciousness calls upon us to be more alert. We notice our habitual patterns and utilize different actions to break free from stagnant conditions. Through intensity, we learn how to respond to life rather than be reactive. The paradox of heightened experience is that it simplifies things. By exploring all the facets of a given situation with a clear mind and heart, we discover, ultimately, that everything is love.

Expanding Consciousness

Your gifts and light can transform the world.

“[Frequency holders] are  here to generate consciousness through the activities of daily life, through their interactions with others as well as through ‘just being’.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

Your perception expands as your consciousness expands. The awakening soul has the capability to see things differently and, because of that sight, can bring a higher frequency energy into their transactions.

Some people feel compelled to be more outgoing, dealing with large groups of people, joyfully thinking big and set amazing changes in motion. For those who lead quieter lives, never doubt the impact your consciousness has on the world around you. Frequency holders bring a stillness to the planet. They tend to hug trees, children and animals, activating the heart chakras of each. Their kindness plants seeds which spark higher consciousness.

These gifts of spirit are transformative and both serve a vital purpose in our collective awakening. Love your journey for you bring something beautiful to the world.

Know your power

Be aware of the energy and expectations that you send out into the world.

“In the universe there is an immeasurable, indescribable force which shamans call intent, and absolutely everything that exists in the entire cosmos is attached to intent by a connecting link.”
~Carlos Castaneda~

Observe the world around you and you’ll discover how powerful people are. They voice their deepest fears and then solidify them even further when that fear is drawn into their experience by saying, “See? I knew it!”… while never realizing that belief and expectation were the driving force behind the experience.

We are here to discover our ability to create. You have always been far more powerful than you realize. It’s amazing to discover how to consciously shift our thoughts, words, expectations and beliefs so that they align, and observe them as a creative force in motion.

Consider your words. Should you notice that you voice what you don’t want to have happen, immediately rephrase your statement. Consciously decide what you do want and then verbalize that with excitement and enthusiasm. The energy you emit plays a powerful role in this process.

Focus on creating a flow of empowerment, purpose and enlightenment in every situation. When speaking of challenges you face, state the intention that you will discover aspects of yourself that are ready to be known. Be excited to grow and learn. And most importantly, know that you are right where you need to be.

Never stop evolving

Learn to see the perfection in the imperfection.

“The only virtue worth calling virtue is creativity. When you create does not matter, but it should enhance life, beautify existence, make living more joyous, the song a little more juicy, the love a little more glorious – and the life of a creator starts becoming pert of eternity and immortality.”
~Osho~

You are an awakening master – transforming, expanding, loving, teaching. The gifts you have to share are innumerable. Choose to see your life as the unveiling of pure potential as you explore whatever awakens creative passion within you.

Many can remain trapped in ego-mind generated self doubt, criticism or judgment. This mindset blocks the ability to see clearly. As we learn to clear the mind and open as conduits for the universal life-force, something amazing begins to flow through us.

With one word of kindness, one act of compassion, one smile or spark of insight, everything can change and a new adventure begins. We are constantly in the act of creation, and through creation, we discover new aspects of ourselves.

Our practice is about opening to life and to one another. Never stop evolving.

Creating peace within the chaos

Your life experience is a reflection of your inner consciousness.
“You find peace not by rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

There are moments when life can seem overwhelming. We can get inundated by family intensity, taxes, yard-work or trying to balance career and relationships. This is why it’s incredibly important to retrain your mind to find calm within the chaos.

Don’t wait to have a peaceful life before you choose to be at peace. Something will always seek your attention. Choose to make inner grace a priority in your experience. As you become more aware and cultivate tools that work for you, make a point to utilize them often throughout the day.

These little spaces of stillness realign you with the Divine. Each time you bring yourself present, time slows and you’ll be able to accomplish the task at hand with a clear heart and mind. Life is what it is – chaotic, beautiful, unpredictable. Be the one who brings peacefulness to the world around you.

Being at ease with the unknown

The ego wants guarantees. The heart wants to explore.

“The little self, driven by fear and a craving for comfort, identifies only with ‘me.’ The true self, driven by nothing, identifies with the unbounded awareness that we truly are.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Transitions call upon us to walk forward in faith. Without attachment, we can learn how to explore whatever the present moment brings into our experience while allowing the future to take care of itself.

Observe how often the mind projects its worries or attempts to draw your attention into future expectations and choose instead to purposely bring yourself back into the present. This moment is filled with infinite possibility and layers of energy that are just waiting to be explored. How conscious are you in this moment?

As we evolve, we begin to recognize these opportunities to expand our awareness and cultivate faith in the process of our awakening. The spiritual world and your physical experience are implicitly entwined. The human experience is what awakens the soul.

Soul agreements and task companions

Soul agreements, like karmic agreements, are arranged prior to birth.
“A task companion relationship is very compatible, without a lot of arguing, bickering or dealing with intense (karmic) issues.”
~From Michael, the Basic Teachings~

When two souls are ready to interact, a magnetic pull begins to emanate. Threads of energy, synchronicity or coincidence draw them into each other’s sphere and typically they recognize one another from a deeper level of inner wisdom. It’s important to be conscious enough to creatively weave these new threads into the tapestry of your journey and observe how the patterns evolve.

Most of these soul agreements or task companions are those with whom you have extensive past-life history. There is a level of comfort and trust and those involved are willing to explore what they can do together. Sometimes we’re able to fulfill those agreements easily and others may try to interact but eventually part ways without a lot of fanfare. The lack of drama shows the difference between karma and a soul agreement. Karmic lessons are typically intense and bring lessons or healing to the surface through contrasts or conflict, while soul agreements are generally loving, easy and approached with a deep level of comfort.

Each person you encounter plays a specific role in your development. Whether they grace your experience for a moment or for a lifetime, honor the sacredness of those who enter your life situation. These loving souls are your family.

The transformative power of gratitude

You have the power to transform your life experience.

“The real gift of gratitude is that the more grateful you are, the more present you become.”
~Robert Holden~

Challenges are our greatest teachers. They draw awareness to the changing aspects of your spiritual growth and call upon you to find the very best in yourself.

When faced with doubt or anxiety, stop immediately and briefly take a walk. Give thanks for the challenge. Ask the Divine for clarity in order to recognize the gifts that lie within, and most importantly, remind yourself that you always have the strength to face whatever unfolds in the present moment.

At times it’s easy to become overwhelmed; yet everything can shift with a shift in perception. Support yourself by acknowledging how far you have come. Love yourself enough to create a space in which you can receive the messages of life. Seek answers by beginning with gratitude.

Every situation has something to teach. The awakened soul can transform the messages of life into guidance that lifts the spirit. We spend our entire lifetime delving into this process in order to explore the various layers of enlightenment.
