Neutrality vs Apathy

Neutrality is a world away from apathy.

“The pathway to the state of Enlightenment is via non-attachment rather than negation. Neutrality allows for participation and the enjoyment of life because, experientially, life becomes more like play than a high-stakes involvement.”
~David R. Hawkins~

Neutrality creates a flow of acceptance in your experience and allows you to genuinely be at peace no matter what unfolds. It is also a wonderful indicator when karmic agreements have been completed. The emotional intensity subsides and the person or situation no longer creates an emotional charge.

Apathy, on the other hand, is a state akin to helplessness. One sees no point in living, feels like nothing will change and the personality becomes trapped in heavy energies that suck the life out of the people around them.

To find a personal state of grace and balance, we must cultivate the ability to allow life to unfold without attachment to outcomes. The dance between dark and light opens our consciousness to explore the space in between, a resting place, which allows healing to take place.

After this time of peace, we embark upon the next level of consciousness which is Willingness. The journey proceeds with a new understanding of hope, optimism and intention… and from there, anything is possible.

Protection

Though it may seem far away at times, love is all around you.

“Everything in the Universe is within you. Ask all from yourself.”
~Rumi~

This planet is a playground of discovery. As we journeyed through the veils of illusion we came to believe what we see more and more and forgot that there are layers of love and protection all around us. Eventually, the challenges we faced prompted the process of self-examination. One by one we drop the layers of illusion until finally, all that remains is love and joy.

It is safe for you to act from the heart and allow circumstances to unfold as they will. Navigating our way through the unknown cultivates the ability to have faith during times of indecision. We are called upon to act with courage and integrity in the present moment and trust that whatever unfolds is working toward the highest good of all involved.

Remind yourself often that all of life is conspiring on your behalf. Seek only to bring the best version of yourself to your choices and interactions. As you awaken, you’ll discover that the challenges you face seem more manageable. Reactivity will decrease and a sense of safety will be the grounding force for all that you experience.

Frequency Holders

Your state of consciousness has an incredible impact on those around you.

“In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole and complete. I support myself, and life supports me. I see evidence of the The Law working all around me and in every area of my life. I reinforce that which I learn in joyous ways. My day begins with gratitude and joy. I look forward with enthusiasm to the adventures of the day, knowing that in my life, “All is good.” I love who I am and all that I do. I am the living, loving, joyous expression of life. All is well in my world.”
~Louise Hay~

As you cultivate a sense of peacefulness in your daily life experience, you may discover that others are drawn to you more frequently. Your awareness, combined with your compassion and insight, creates a space of peacefulness that can impact even the most challenging of situations in a powerful and positive way.

Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is. Know that your Presence awakens the Presence in others. Without attachment to outcomes, choose to create a space in which a transformation can occur. From this place of detached compassion, you may choose to step into the role of facilitator or Frequency Holder. Frequency Holders quietly bring a higher energy to our collective consciousness. Their Presence has a profound impact on those around them. Should you find yourself in this role, take a moment to move into gratitude, create balance, consciously set an intention to be an open channel for the Divine with the knowledge that something far greater moves through you.

What We Create

What will you choose to create today?
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
~Albert Einstein~

You are an artist who is constantly in the process of co-creation, weaving a unique tapestry of exquisite design. Each thought, word and action creates layers of energy that flow from you out into the world of form. Observe what you say. Do your words reflect what you wish to create? Do they support your joy and willingness to receive?

It’s a wonderful practice to set a deliberate intention, focus upon it during your morning rituals and then watch with joy as it manifests in various ways throughout your daily experience. For instance, if your intention is to be a loving reflection of the sacredness in everyone you meet, your interactions will be far different than if your mind was only focused upon the tasks that needed to be accomplished. Instead of a regular day with it’s normal ups and downs, you might experience brief but unique expressions of beauty from each person with whom you interact.

These conscious choices bring a higher level of light into our physical experience. Choose intentions that allow you to explore being the very best version of yourself. The spiritual seekers goal is to merge the sacred with the mundane.

Enjoy the Journey

Explore all the nuances this moment has to offer, for it is sacred.

“At the height of creative activity fueled by enthusiasm, there will be enormous intensity and energy behind what you do. You will feel like an arrow that is moving toward a target – and enjoying the journey.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

See if you can honor the sacredness of this moment by stopping completely and feeling the energy of infinite potential that surrounds you. With each breath, imagine that you are drawing in the love, light and laughter of the universe. Feel the freedom that ensues as each exhale releases that which no longer serves you.

Consider your aspirations and goals. See them as powerful motivators that have taken you in one direction or another; however, rather than focusing only on the desired end result, stop and marvel at the path you have chosen because of them. Be grateful for those who share your journey – whether they walk with you for a moment or for a lifetime, these soul meetings are incredibly important.

Your dance of awakening is unique. Find your music and play it as if you have nowhere to go and a lifetime to get there.

Joyful Empowerment

Fear and joy cannot coexist in the same space.

“Keep me away from the wisdom that does not cry, the philosophy that does not laugh and the greatness that does not bow before children”
~Kahlil Gibran~

The ego-mind keeps us trapped within the illusion of lack by causing us to believe that something is missing. Life becomes very serious. Lower consciousness attributes such as guilt, fear or anger distract us from the limitless joy that surrounds us.

Laughter is the outward sound of a soul that is awakening. It bubbles up, takes over and scatters the heaviness of the mind. It sparks joy in others and brings us fully into the present moment.

Should you find yourself getting lost in the intensity of life, seek out that which makes you laugh. Allow yourself the absolute joy of surrendering to lightheartedness and joyful expression. That is far more healing and powerful than anything the mind can create.

And most importantly, remember that nothing is more important than your state of consciousness in this moment.

Being Love

Allow those you love the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

“Spiritual practice is about increasingly entering into love – not personal love, but the love that is the nature of our being.”
~Ezra Bayda~

There is no gift more empowering than to create a space in which a transformation can occur. When demonstrating love for a child, life partner, friend or family member, allow for infinite possibilities to be explored. Support them as they navigate their journey of awakening by being a consistent force of loving kindness in their experience.

When someone feels supported, trusted, accepted and loved, they thrive. With no opposition, one can experience expansion rather than wasting precious energy on protection, explanations or defensiveness.

The best way to provide this space of empowerment is to continue your own work. When we focus on ourselves and explore the nuances of our own growth, we bring a greater sense of peacefulness to all of our interactions.

Live Gently

Choose to be an authentic example of gentleness, kindness and compassion.

“Shamans the world over strive to live in complete harmony with nature, the environment, the cycles of the seasons, the weather, and the varying patterns of the stars, moon and sun. To accomplish this, they cultivate the intelligence of the heart.”
~Jose Stevens~

To live in alignment with life, we must first remove anything that blocks us from living in a way that is empowered and accepting. The spiritual path calls upon us to dissolve the ego, rise above the mundane and cultivate trust. There are many layers to this work and many roads to enlightenment. As you explore the various teachings that ignite your spirit, your willingness to learn will draw what is needed to you.

Walk gently upon the earth and listen to the prompting of your inner guidance. Celebrate your breakthroughs and learn from the challenges that arise. Everything works toward your highest good – always. With this in mind, fear departs as we take a greater role in what we choose to create and how we interpret the circumstances in which we find ourselves.

This never ending process of enlightenment is filled with opportunity, for as you change, the world around you is transformed. Seek to discover the language of your heart. Messages from the Divine are all around you, and miracles abound.

The Process of Enlightenment

The paradoxes of human experience make transformation possible.

“Spiritual practice is a mixture of struggle and integration, of confusion and clarity, of discouragement and aspiration, of feeling failure and going deeper.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Experiencing the contrasts of life allows us to reach a place of neutrality that is healthy and empowering. Joy cannot exist without sorrow; therefore, the soul will often engage with others in a way that will allow one to explore the depths of both emotions rather quickly. The intensity prompts us to seek balance which ultimately leads to the glorious freedom of acceptance.

Do not seek to avoid nor create discomfort, but do recognize it’s value when it arises. The process of enlightenment can often feel overwhelming. Mindfulness transforms moments of soul searching into wisdom and compassion.

Don’t play it safe. Trust the processes of your awakening and just take one more step, breathe one more conscious breath and allow love to express itself through you as often as possible. Should you encounter resistance in yourself or from others, see it as an indicator that the work you are doing has incredible value. The spiritual journey is not a straight line to a fixed goal. It is a fluid, transformative process.

Self Work

The journey of awakening is a life long learning experience.

“As we relentlessly observe ourselves, the images we have of who we are and who we need to be – which at one time seemed so real – begin to peel away like layers of an onion. Pleasant self-images may give way to uglier ones, each seeming equally real until that layer too peels away. As every illusory idea of who we are is stripped off, we can finally experience the quivering freedom of not needing to be anyone at all.”
~Ezra Bayda~

When you wish to create change in the world around you, always begin within. Life will find ways to reflect the one thing that is often most difficult to see and our job is to take ownership of whatever unfolds in our experience. Repeating patterns, when viewed with love and objectivity, are meant to bring outmoded ways of being to light. With this insight and relentless honesty, the spiritual student can turn inward and clear away layers of limiting beliefs.

Should you be fortunate enough to have a teacher or friend who will gently nudge you in the direction of enlightenment, honor them by doing your own work. This journey is a never-ending spiral of love and enlightenment – each cycle bringing you closer to the peace, freedom and unconditional love you desire.

As we awaken, the world around us is transformed. Relationships begin to feel supportive, the world becomes a safer place and your light is a beacon of awakening.
