Transformation

Everything is constantly changing, evolving, growing. This natural process is what allows us to expand our perception while we explore new aspects of ourselves. As we journey through the phases of life – youth, power and wisdom, we tend to revisit old lessons in order to understand them from a different point of view.

Enjoy the phase you are in. Smile gently as the next group of souls fumble their way to enlightenment. We all need to make mistakes, and sometimes be who we aren’t in order to discover who we are. As we cultivate greater understanding, we do better. Ultimately, we have the joy of passing along wisdom to those who are ready to hear.

The greatest gift that you can give is a demonstration of love. As consciousness awakens it often appears as patience, kindness, wisdom and authenticity. Give with love. Be a witness to your own experience. Create a life filled with flow and vitality and you will never cease to be amazed. Expanding consciousness comes through understanding contrasts and seeing the value in all sides of an experience. In acceptance, anything can be transformed. Through sharing our gifts, we change the energy of the world around us.

Control is an Illusion

“What is the path? Residing in this very life, exactly as it is right now… liking or not liking has nothing to do with it.”

~Ezra Bayda~

Awakening calls upon us to be aware of our responses. Rather than seeking to dominate circumstances, we learn to flow with them. Rather than attempting to bend others to our will, we value the sacredness in each person’s path. The only thing over which you have any control is yourself, and that is challenging enough! We’ve all experienced the take-over of the ego and have temporarily lost consciousness; however, these moments of missing the mark become less frequent and intense as we continue our practice.

When we attempt to control the world around us, the energy we emit creates a rigidity of the soul that’s difficult to penetrate. These structures of thought may present themselves in our lives as tenseness, grinding teeth, forgetting to breathe… It’s time to allow spontaneity and vulnerability to enter our lives. If mistakes happen, that’s OK. When life seems like a wild ride, it’s OK. There’s much to be discovered by entering uncharted territory.

Allow your encounters to be authentic. Listen more. Take time to breathe and feel the energies that swirl around you. This is the moment of transformation. No matter what space you’re in right now, know that it will evolve into something different if you are willing to accept new energy into your experience.

Dream a New World into Being

“Dreaming requires an act of courage, for when we lack it, we have to settle for the world that’s being created by our culture or by our genes – we feel we have to settle for the nightmare. To dream courageously, we must be willing to use our hearts.”
~Alberto Villoldo~

Courageousness is not about being fearless. It is the ability to move forward and take conscious action in spite of any fear that may arise.

No matter what you wish to create in your experience, all transformation begins within. Visualize opening to the vast potential that exists within you and all around you rather than expecting, and therefore receiving, repetitive limiting circumstances. At first, the mind may balk with it’s “Nothing’s ever going to change” mantra; however, consistent intention always sets new energy in motion.

You can dream a new world into being. See yourself as an artist who utilizes divine inspiration in order to guide new visions into life. Forgiveness, gratitude, positive expectations, joyful enthusiasm and willingness demonstrate unwavering commitment to creating new experiences. Each approach, practiced consistently, releases old patterns and resentments and sets you free from past perceived limitations.

All of existence conspires to assist in your spiritual awakening and love rains down upon you from multiple dimensions. Open to receive the new through willingness, imagination and sprinkling a little magic throughout your life.

Anger is a Message

When caught in the grip of reactivity, anger or blame, it’s imperative to observe your inner dialogue. There are patterns of limiting behavior or beliefs bubbling up to the surface, ready for profound healing. Conscious awareness provides an opportunity to integrate messages from your higher self. Anger is only healthy when utilized as an springboard for self-transformation.

Whether directed inward or extended outward, anger is a waste of your precious energy. It causes the cells of the body to deteriorate, it creates a filter that taints everything you see and acts as a magnet, drawing in people and circumstances of similar low levels of consciousness.

The mind will tell you that you are right to be angry. It will keep old stories alive through repetition and seek those who strengthen the web around your heart by agreeing with you.

Like anything else, anger can be transformed into a powerful aspect of your spiritual growth. Mindfulness allows you to observe when it arises, recognize ideas and beliefs that need to be faced and pivot you toward a breakthrough.

See reactivity as a barometer which measures attachment. The ultimate goal is to experience the present moment as it is. The conscious observer walks quietly empowered through life, holds space, and uplifts those with whom they interact.

Chaos

Transformation – whether personal or collective – often takes us into uncharted territory. The chaos of upheaval is intended to shake things up in order to break us free of repetitive patterns.

Don’t fear these intense moments of change. Spiritual practice calls upon us to receive changes with an open-heart. Your willingness to move into acceptance opens the door for new beginnings. Every experience contains the opportunity to awaken.

Should you encounter resistance, it is an indicator that true transformation is at hand. The ego becomes more active when we are on the verge of a breakthrough. These is what often creates additional chaos in our experience. We resist the new, judge or blame others, cling to the familiar and fear the unknown; however, everything needs to be brought into the light so that we can clearly see what is ready to be discarded.

Don’t wait to have a peaceful life before you choose to be at peace. Something will always seek your attention. Choose to make inner grace a priority in your experience. Little spaces of stillness realign you with the Divine. Each time you bring yourself present, time slows and you’ll be able to accomplish the task at hand with a clear heart and mind. Life is what it is – chaotic, beautiful, unpredictable. Be the one who brings peacefulness to the world around you.

New Beginnings

It takes time, experience and experimentation to come into the fullness of who you are. When you trust the processes of your awakening and are willing to receive, something magical begins to happen. Subtle shifts of awareness compound into a unique approach to life.

Your Higher Self operates from a different level of perception. Creating harmony in your life experience is imperative. It softens the voice of ego and allows you to engage with life in a way that is healthy, supportive and patient.

This dance of awakening is ever-evolving. As we enter new playgrounds of experience we can choose to support one another and joyfully discover unexplored aspects of ourselves in the process. Remember, sometimes we have to be who we aren’t in order to discover who we are.

Mastery calls upon us to be aware of our state of consciousness in the Now. Your peacefulness creates peaceful experiences. Your love creates loving experiences. When you choose to embody grace and acceptance, your life will flow more easily. Expansion requires us to drop things which no longer serve our growth. It allows us to step into empowerment and flow with the movement of life. From there, anything is possible.

Strength

“No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become. No one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side. Or you don’t.”
~Stephen King~

When life presents our darkest moments, we have an opportunity to rise above. Know that your soul is ready to face whatever life offers – and realize that challenging situations only come into our experience when we have the tools and ability to handle them.

Beliefs about our own worthiness, strength, ingenuity and vision create internal blockages. Challenges provide the opportunity to leave behind the baggage, take action and break through to new levels of enlightenment.

The Universe has creative ways of propelling us into growth. Life sometimes take a turn into the unknown and we must either face it or give up. Fortunately, our tendency is to evolve. By facing the darkness, we ultimately emerge transformed by the light of consciousness.

Trust the processes of life and know that you have the fortitude to conquer your fear… not only facing it and conquering it, but shattering the old beliefs and patterns that created it in the first place. You are stronger than you know.

Threshold

To enter a new life we must be passionately engaged and self-aware.

Some changes call to us. A new life beckons and we must go through the process of releasing all that has become so familiar while we walk forward into the unknown. This aspect of transformation contains the paradoxical emotions of fear and excitement within it, and we can diligently explore what we’ve learned, honor the process and listen to our inner wisdom. When you stand at the threshold of a new life, consciously and lovingly bid adieu to the old through ritual, meditation or prayer, and walk forward with faith.

Some changes are thrust upon us: financial hardship, illness, loss, betrayal… these collective and personal moments of dramatic and immediate change call upon us to move into acceptance as we find a new way of being in the world. It’s important to remember that everything serves a purpose. At higher levels of existence, love is always in play. Part of the human condition is to be blind to all the nuances and purpose of these changes; therefore, trust is required. The spiritual process calls upon us to explore the mysteries of life in order to discover the gifts and blessings that abound.

Change is Messy

“Open your mind, expand your character to embrace the world. Then you will find guidance along the path.”
~R. L. Wing, from the I Ching Workbook~

Life is quite simply this:  interconnected, continuous, transformative movement.

Whether your life situation is challenging or beautiful, remember that “This too shall pass.” Life, by it’s literal definition, is the process of adapting to change.
Change is often messy. Our attention brings everything to the surface so that we can examine, discard or renew. Consider how cleaning out a closet creates temporary chaos in that particular room. Everything gets out of joint, but the end result is a space that has benefited from your attention and energy. It’s often the same with our spiritual, emotional and mental transformation. Upheaval leads to peace.
The thunderbolt of change has the ability to awaken us to new levels of perception immediately. The opposite of a gentle rising in consciousness, sudden shifts dramatically shake up our world in ways that are unexpected, and always… always! a gift is waiting to be discovered. See each moment as simply a gathering of new information and be willing to receive – this journey of awakening is merely the beginning of a glorious transformation.

Navigating the Paradox

“It’s the paradox of the true spiritual path, but the more conscious we become of what limits us, the more limitless becomes our life.”
~Guy Finley~

Don’t try to change, simply be aware… awareness begins the process of transformation. Spiritual practice is often a blend of paradox – confusion and clarity, separation and wholeness, detachment and presence. The word paradox itself comes from the Greek para dokien which means beyond thought. See yourself as a physical expression of the Divine who wishes to experience life in it’s various forms. Teach yourself how to see through the illusion while acting consciously within the present moment. Eventually the illusion becomes easier to navigate on the path toward Oneness.

Be gentle with yourself and remain open to the potential that joy brings. No matter what teachings you embrace, you must ultimately trust your own divine nature in order to align with your truth and integrity. Give yourself permission to live consciously within the paradox without dissecting or analyzing it.

The same energy, knowledge and peace discovered by all the masters who have walked the Path of Transformation awaits you within the openness of your own heart. For all our searching, the answers lie within.
