Surrender

“When we bring a gentle awareness to the layers of our conditioning, and to the struggles that arise out of our conditioning, the power of that conditioning slowly dissolves. Life then moves toward the unconditioned – where the vastness, or love, just flows through.”

~Ezra Bayda~

The ego often seeks to fight, prove oneself right, defend beliefs or struggle against life. Whenever you observe this happening, consciously move into surrender. Allow the energy around you to flow unimpeded. You’ll access the strength and peace that reside underneath the mechanisms of the mind.

When we choose to surrender to what is, we demonstrate faith in the process of awakening. Things often flow better when we get ourselves out of the way. The enlightened understand that surrender is a sign of empowerment.

Trust the wisdom of your higher self. Place your focus upon how you are responding to life, rather than trying to control how it unfolds. Are you operating from a space of joy, enthusiasm or acceptance? Are you seeing your experiences as opportunities to awaken?

The present moment is your point of power. How are you choosing to experience it? Life’s wonder and mystery can only be discovered where you are.

Expansion

Clarity is rooted in the deep stillness of the present moment. It lies beyond the desire to understand with the mind and brings a higher awareness of the harmony that connects us. As we awaken, we experience this clarity with greater frequency and honor it as a sacred gift.

We share a brief moment within the infinite expansion of consciousness. This world is merely the beginning of an amazing journey from separation to wholeness. A journey that ultimately takes us beyond all limitations of time and space and into the unknowable.

Understandably, the concepts of soul expansion can be challenging to understand from a human perspective. While immersed in life it’s easy to become distracted by the intensity of the world around us. This is why stillness, gratitude and mindfulness are so important – each provides an opportunity to rise above the mechanisms of the ego and into communion with the infinite, if only for a brief moment.

Be open to opportunities to celebrate. Joy is the gateway into the temple of the infinite… learn from the trees, the wind, laughter, friendship… and remember that the wisdom you seek is everywhere, waiting to be discovered in the stillness of your heart.

Stillness

“When you reach a calm and quiet meditative state, that is when you can hear the sound of silence.”
~Stephen Richards~

It’s time to step out of thousands of years of human conditioning and rediscover stillness. Listen to the silence that is around you. This will move you into a state of greater awareness where you can connect with life on a deeper level.

Behind the sounds, beyond the experience, under the chatter of the mind lies the brilliance of your own Divine nature. When you slow down and align yourself within that energy, you create a foundation of peace in your experience.

Peace is a simple thing… all we need to do is clear away the clutter and listen. The conscious awareness of the spiritual seeker opens these moments of connection, and from there our perception of the world expands into something wholly new.

Wherever you are, be there completely. Listen, just listen. Find the heartbeat of life and enter into it. You are infinite. You are divine. You are awake. Immerse yourself within the task at hand and pay attention to the experience. The infinite source of life seeks to express itself through you.

Transforming Impatience

“Patience is very alert, patience is very active, patience is very expectant.”
~Osho~

Impatience is a by-product of our society, a mental construct that says there’s not enough time, I may miss out. It is created by an overactive mind and blocks all enjoyment of the present moment. Very quickly, impatience can turn into martyrdom. When someone feels thwarted, there is often a “Why me?” response.

When you notice impatience rising within you, choose instead to slow down, pay attention and bring your awareness deeply into the Now. Then, breathe, make your decision, take action and create change with a peaceful state of mind. All fear patterns can be transformed into personal power.

It’s important not to rush your spiritual development. This can cause you to pretend that you have advanced without doing the required work. The triggers still lie beneath the surface ready to disrupt your momentum.

We live in an infinite universe. Patience strengthens your capacity to relate to life from the higher levels of consciousness rather than the ego-driven desire of false personality. Practice utilizing silence and moving slowly. There is enough time. Mindful action ensures that the more patient you are, the more you will accomplish.

Awareness

Awareness is awakening within you. Layer by layer you are removing the illusions that hinder your vision. As your inner wisdom becomes more apparent, life becomes simple. When you know yourself, understand your purpose and consciously choose to be less ego-driven, you are evolving into a Buddha.

The picture above was taken during my gratitude walk. It’s amazing how a simple sunrise can amplify the peace within. The daily flow of energy had not quite begun and I was consciously able to appreciate the stillness, bundled up against the chill. In that stillness, I became aware of the inner vitality of my body and quietly expressed my gratitude and appreciation for the vehicle that I am using in this lifetime. That moment of gratitude then led me down several pathways (as it always does) and each step transformed into a loving conversation with the Divine.

No matter how you choose to access your inner awareness, remember that feeling! Revisit it several times throughout the day and reengage with the light that seeks expression through you. Then life can be as it is, with its various joys and challenges, its laughter and tears. And you will walk gently in the world.

Immersed in Now

Spend this day as a conscious observer. See how much you can engage with life while saying very little. This will allow you to actively participate and you may come away with a greater understanding of your own level of consciousness (not to mention greater clarity regarding those with whom you interact).

Many people live trapped by fear – and fear is born from lack of compassion and understanding. They seek to be better than someone else, or worry that they may fall short. That fear and worry translate to a lack of joy.

As a conscious spiritual seeker, you can choose to see everyone as an expression of the Divine. Loving waves of energy will then flow outward from you, multiply and find their way back, often in miraculous and unexpected ways.

The art of stillness is one that consistently needs to be cultivated in the midst of a busy and ever-changing world. It’s the one aspect of you that will never change, a great wellspring of peace and power that exists to provide balance and replenish your soul.

You can create miracles in your experience. Open your heart to the wonders of the Universe – they are all around you!

Real Joy

“Real joy is often just a quiet presence in the moment.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Bring a new level of consciousness to your journey. From the mundane to the mystical, everything offers the possibility of transformation.

Beauty can be found in the simple, ordinary things of life. When you approach tasks with total involvement, seeking no thoughts of recognition or reward, they begin to take on a sacred quality. Mindfulness amplifies your energy.

Don’t wait for moments of fulfillment to happen. Create them. Make them a powerful aspect of your daily life. Chores, work, play, love… all become purposeful aspects of your soul’s awakening.

When you bring your awareness to the Now, the process of self-observation increases your level of consciousness and layers of resistance begin to dissipate. You can always handle the present moment. The answers, resources and strength that you require will be there when you need them.

The mind needs to be still in order to recognize the sacredness and beauty that is all around you. Stillness can only occur Now, this moment. Be here completely. Love yourself enough to be at ease… and then take one more conscious step forward.

Dissolving Blockages

When you seem to be stalled, feeling incomplete or dissatisfied, look within and observe the thoughts that impede your ability to take action. These internal blockages often create greater conflict than any physical obstacle you may face.

The only thing that exists is the Now – don’t destroy it’s potential with worry created by the shadows of the mind. See yourself walking forward in joy and expectation and simply take one more step. Fear dissipates through conscious action. Enter the realm of discovery and cultivate the discernment that allows you to see through the stories of the ego.

This moment is precious. As I stepped outside in gratitude, I was greeted by the stillness of a cold, clear morning. Early storms had passed, frost was on the ground and the stars sparkled across the sky like diamonds on velvet. The darkness had a living texture of possibility and once again, I fell madly in love with life.

Find your inspiration. In the stillness you can connect to the Universe and come home to yourself. The energy of the Divine is yours to experience in any way that you wish. In a changeable world filled with limitless nuances to explore, this powerful connection remains constant.

Your Inner Wisdom

Each of us has access to innate wisdom cultivated through lifetimes of experience. Our angels, spirit guides, healing masters and helpers consistently offer support and insight, yet, we often feel alone and confused.

Find your own unique way of accessing your inner knowledge. Utilize gratitude, meditation, music, silence or be creative. All of life supports you on this journey. Know that you are loved every step of the way.

Your inner voice speaks through the wordless language of the heart. Stillness allows us to access the clarity which comes from transcending the dualities and paradoxes of life. You can recognize wisdom by how it makes you feel. Truth brings peace, even when the information is not exactly what you wished to hear.

Conversely, the ego speaks through the language of the mind. It is incessant, repetitive, often contradicting and seems to pull us in multiple directions at once. When you feel confused, see it as a reminder that you need to seek stillness and center yourself. Then you will access your inner wisdom.

When centered in truth, your whole life becomes a prayer, a mediation, one filled with grace and beauty that seems to flow through you from the Divine.

The Power of Stillness

“When you enter a place of stillness, you awaken the divinity within you.”

~Peggy Sealfon~

When aligned with your true nature, you’ll discover that there is nothing to fight. There is only love. In compassion, we can meet one another in the field of form. In kindness, we have the strength to extend a hand and lift someone from the throes of darkness. Our words of hope plant seeds that can transform the consciousness of those with whom we come into contract.
