Divine Feminine

“The way towards the peace and the balance is love… love and respect of everything. Knowing that there is a place for your neighbour, and there is a place for power, and there’s a place for trees and there’s a place for birds and plants. Once you start loving all these things, you leave them be. You respect them. Then there is balance.”
~Reena Kumarasingham~

The divine feminine is grounded in Presence. It creates peace and harmony in our experience by slowing things down and allows us to enter the Now respectfully, honoring the sacred that resides in all things. Once body, mind and spirit are aligned, we are capable of  receiving all that life has to offer.

Nurture the divine feminine within you by opening to existence. When there is no need to defend, you become a channel of light and love whose actions emit a powerful, peaceful depth of being.

We all need to explore the expression of masculine and feminine within our own experience. There are times to receive, to contemplate, to love… and others when it is appropriate to move or take action. The way forward will make itself known. Let it flow, and step into the energy in whatever way is most appropriate for this stage of your journey.

Mindfulness and Transformation

The way to elicit positive change and transformation is mindfulness. Make inner peace and balanced health your first priority – quiet the mind, meditate, and spend a few moments completely free of distractions each day.

When we focus on making conscious choices and make an effort to only use words which support our intentions and desires, we set the stage for a shift in consciousness. Everything is energy and has a collective impact upon your personal vibration.

If mindfulness is something which gets lost in the busy and changeable world of your existence, start small. Choose one hour to be completely mindful in all that you do – in your work, while cleaning house, preparing dinner or petting your dog – choose to be fully present. Any activity can be used as part of your spiritual practice. As you become well versed in mindfulness, extend the time longer and longer throughout your day.

There is nothing new you need to add to your store of knowledge. Mindfulness is simply a removal of the distractions and negativity that block you from connecting to your source. You can do this now, there is nothing to be gained by waiting.

Kindness

Never underestimate the value of kindness.

It is said that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Choose to bring this lovely energy to the planet. Whether you rescue a spider, listen to a stranger, hold space for your child or help another to see their own beauty, you can walk gently upon the earth.

We live immersed by ego-generated opinions and the contrasts of belief systems seem to be widening. Things appear chaotic. And yet… we are on the verge of tremendous growth and breakthrough. Great change is always proceeded by disruption. Most people expect (or even seek) push-back, thus allowing the ego to feed existing negative energy through debate. When others seem to want conflict, give kindness.

The goal is to see through and break free from the mechanisms of the ego. There is no need to be right. We can utilize conscious actions and insights to infuse our life situations with high vibration energy. Rather than repeating old ideas and behaviors, seek instead to embrace a new way of being. Our collective consciousness is ready for expansion. Educate others by demonstrating what authentic loving-kindness looks like and let your life be your message.

Allowing

“Must I fear what others fear?
Should I fear desolation
when there is abundance?
Should I fear darkness
when that light is shining everywhere?”
~Lao Tzu~

(from the Tao te Ching, 20th verse)

Higher consciousness calls upon us to be deeply rooted in the Now. Presence brings a new type of freedom into your life experience. When you find yourself striving for more or trying to please others at the expense of your own joy, choose instead to relax into the power of the present moment. Set down your burdens. Notice any “what ifs?” that arise – see how they steal your peace?

Be present, move into complete acceptance and see yourself as whole and complete. This empowered choice aligns you with the flow of life. We live in a vibrant, thriving energy field. Our thoughts and beliefs send waves of energy throughout the Universe and they always return in unexpected and beautiful ways.

Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is. Know that everything unfolds in the way that is most appropriate for your souls evolution. You are a child of light, a master in the process of awakening. Imagine having a worry-free existence. That is the gift that awaits you.

Walk Gently

“Everybody needs beauty…places to play in and pray in where nature may heal and cheer and give strength to the body and soul alike.”

~John Muir~

Walk gently – you can discover life’s wonder and mystery wherever you are. Let your journey of consciousness reconnect you to the healing energy of mother earth. There are minor chakras located on the soles of the feet. Each morning, visualize them opening to receive grace, direction, support and balance as you go about your day. As a child of light, know that you are loved, guided and protected each and every step of the way.

Experiences awaken our ability to explore the multi-layered facets of existence. Each is a stepping stone to creating a joyful, empowered life. This movement of awareness begins with gratitude and gentleness. All that you see is a spark of the Divine. Recognizing and honoring the sacredness of all life awakens the sacredness within you.

Enter Into Stillness

“Whenever you deeply accept this moment as it is — no matter what form it takes — you are still, you are at peace.”

~Eckhart Tolle~

This moment is the gateway to enlightenment. In the midst of hyperbole and distraction lies an infinite well of peace from which you can drink. Honor your journey as sacred by drinking deeply of the love, light and laughter of the universe.

Periodically choose to detach from worldly limitation and enter into the stillness of infinite possibility. Within the gap between words, breaths, heartbeats or movement we can catch a glimpse of  life’s limitless potential. There is no need to fill it that silence with analytical thought or action. Just be present. Your conscious awareness activates inner wisdom and peace.

Some call this the space of no mind. Detachment allows us to observe all that unfolds with greater clarity. From the vantage point of awareness, you may discover greater compassion, especially for those who are momentarily caught in the mechanisms of the mind. Your light is transformative, not only for yourself, but also for those around you.

Engage life’s magic through stillness. Consciousness seeks to experience itself through you. When distractions are removed, what remains? Love.

Turning Inward

“No matter how you may be feeling, simply sit down, experience the texture of what is happening in your body and mind – and then just let it be.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Once you develop conscious awareness of the ego, it is easier to observe its antics. Like watching ripples on a pond or a tangle of traffic, it becomes almost amusing to witness as it tries various ways of pulling you into the games of the mind.

Contentment is possible in the present moment – indeed that’s the only place where it can ever be found. Stop where you are, close your eyes, breathe and be present. Allow the fullness of life to be experienced as you turn inward.

Many people run from one thing to the next – physically, verbally, mentally – and it can be exhausting, not only for them but for those around them. But once the peace of stillness is discovered, we can immerse ourselves totally in the moment and bring Presence in to whatever we choose to do.

Develop the art of stillness and then purposely infuse that high-vibration energy into every interaction. Observe the antics of the mind, smile and know that you are a source of peace.

Creating a Sacred Space

“I love myself, therefore I provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fulfills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in. I fill the rooms with the vibration of Love, so that all who enter, myself included, will feel the love and be nourished by it.” ~Louise Hay~
Consider your home a sacred space. Any emotions that we experience emit powerful vibrations that remain behind; therefore, focus upon being conscious of what you create or allow around you. Setting intentions, smudging, playing peaceful music or lighting candles to shift the energy can have a dramatic impact.

At least once a month, open a few windows or doors and cleanse the space with white sage, lavender/sage spray or pure tones saying, “Negativity out! Only love, joy and beauty remain. Today, let this space be a space of peace, power, growth and transformation.” Any heavy or unbalanced energy will dissipate and you’ll create a lighter, empowered feeling that will impact all who enter your space.

You have more power than you realize and cleansing your space is a great way consciously step into your role as an empowered co-creator. Be the peace you wish to see in the world.

Let Go

“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything – anger, anxiety, or possessions – we cannot be free.”

~Thich Nhat Hanh~

There is nothing wrong with having preferences; however, when we allow those preferences crystallize into absolute requirements, we suffer. One way to determine your level of attachment around something is to observe the level of disappointment experienced when you don’t get what you want. Some people are terribly reactive to even the slightest imposition and have to endure constant self-induced turmoil.

Others see life as a playground. They strive and play with equal pleasure, sometimes winning, sometimes losing, but always finding the joy in the adventure. This detachment creates a peaceful foundation from which to experience life. This is not to say challenges do not arise, but they feel less intense and are released more quickly.

Choose to be at ease where you are. Take one more conscious step forward while honoring the process of your awakening. Make detachment one aspect of your daily practice and observe what happens. It’s likely that you will feel more empowered and peaceful in this moment… and that’s all that matters.

Receptivity

“Make your ego porous. Will is of little importance, complaining is nothing, fame is nothing. Openness, patience, receptivity, solitude is everything.”

~Rainer Maria Rilke~

Periodically take the time to sit in the moonlight and simply be still. It’s powerful to make friends with the night and go into silence to receive the wisdom of the heart. In this world of distraction, awareness arises through a deep immersion within the present moment.

There are many paths to enlightenment and each journey is unique. Friendliness, universal love and passion remind us of the sacredness of awakening and we can learn much from one another. As you proceed, one barometer of progress is to observe the amount of peace in your overall experience. You may find that in many aspects, you react far differently than you did 5 or 10 years ago.

There may still be topics or people that elicit an emotional response – this is where your work resides. Let the gentleness of the moonlight soothe your soul. Give any pain to the quietude of the night. When you choose to release the things that no longer serve you, you create space in which something new can emerge. This is your moment of transformation.
