What We Create

“Each of us is an artist of our days; the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will become.”
~John O’Donohue~

You are an artist who is constantly in the process of co-creation, weaving a unique tapestry of exquisite design. Each thought, word and action creates layers of energy that flow from you out into the world of form. Observe what you say. Do your words reflect what you wish to create? Do they support your joy and willingness to receive?

It’s a wonderful practice to set a deliberate intention, focus upon it during your morning rituals and then watch with joy as it manifests in various ways throughout your daily experience. For instance, if your intention is to be a loving reflection of the sacredness in everyone you meet, your interactions will be far different than if your mind was only focused upon the tasks that needed to be accomplished. Instead of a regular day with it’s normal ups and downs, you might experience brief but unique expressions of beauty from each person with whom you interact.

These conscious choices bring a higher level of light into our physical experience. Choose intentions that allow you to explore being the very best version of yourself. The spiritual seekers goal is to merge the sacred with the mundane.

Conscious Self-Talk

“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it—through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.”
~Victoria Moran~

Embrace your uniqueness. Your self-talk has great power. It creates the filter through which you interpret the world, and sends out an energy that tells others how you expect to be treated.

Repeating patterns show us our deepest beliefs. It can be very challenging to see yourself clearly and others will often act as mirrors to provide insight into what you are putting out into the world. As you increase in awareness, you can consciously participate in changing your experience.

Observe your inner dialogue, listen to the phrases you tend to repeat and consider whether your words are purposeful or simply repeating an old story. Don’t fight against the old habitual patterns – what you fight, you strengthen. Begin by quietly noticing your words and allow your awareness to initiate the process of transformation. Become more conscious of how you choose to express yourself. A whole new world awaits.

Emerging Buddha

“Your own Self-Realization is the greatest service you can render the world.”
~Ramana Maharshi~

As the veil of illusion is burned away, our true nature emerges. Forms dissolve, attachments cease and we are able to honor the power of the present moment as sacred. Be the loving witness of your own transformation and watch as the Buddha consciousness awaken within you.

The mind is often burdened with regret or fear. Awareness frees us from the weight of thought and invites you to enter the realm of limitless possibility. Each step you take on the path of transformation is important. Small things matter and every insight builds upon the last. When you can see yourself as a traveler on an adventure and be open to discovery, you invite new experiences into your life.

Be patient with the process of growth. Sometimes the changes are slow and subtle and sometimes they transform your life through a whirlwind of destruction, freeing you to enter a new level of consciousness. No matter how you choose to move forward, know that you are right where you need to be. Experiences help you to awaken and you can face whatever comes with greater openness and acceptance.

Consistent Practice

Life repeats itself. Habitual patterns become the norm and unless we become mindful, the cycle will continue. The way to break free is through mindfulness and consistent practice. Once you see the pattern you can begin to free yourself from it.

Explore and experience until you find something that sparks your passion or brings peace to the soul. Then make that practice a priority in your life. Whether prayer, meditation, yoga, mindfulness or gratitude, the key is to make it an ongoing, consistent aspect of your daily journey.

You’ll know you’re making progress when resistance arises. Whether from your own ego or the push-back from those closest to you, resistance is an indicator that something profound is in progress. As we change, the world around us is transformed. Eventually, you will rise above old programming, discard limiting beliefs and set yourself free.

This nightly communication with my angels and inspirational writing began as an experiment. It has created ease and grace in my experience and played a greater role than any book, workshop or course I’ve explored in my development. I do not set an alarm or purposely seek inspiration. It simply occurs one day at a time and is a joyful expression of my way of being in the world.

Gifts of the Soul

As you awaken, your vision, perception and interpretation of life becomes more expansive. No matter what you accomplish, so much value awaits that even the most lucrative, heartfelt or connected moments you will ever experience wane beside the glitter of the gifts of the soul. Your awareness is a light that brings warmth and insight to the darkness. We stand with one another. We lift those who fall. We lead by example.

Beautiful, vibrant energy seeks to express itself through you. Observe what you allow into your experience today. As you draw your attention fully into the Now, you may discover that things become more simple. You can choose to channel the love, light and laughter of the universe into your life situation.

Your time, love and compassion are desperately needed. More than donating money to a cause that speaks to your heart, give of your time and energy in some way. We learn through experience. Empathy comes through understanding. Anchoring the lesson occurs when we articulate and demonstrate awareness through conscious action.

Kindness is never wasted. It bestows limitless gifts upon the giver and the receiver alike. You can be the change you wish to see in the world.

Patience

Patience is more than just being willing to wait. It is choosing to remain conscious and peaceful while waiting.

Often, the spiritual approach to life is the exact opposite of what we witness as physical beings. Our society tends to rush, to place great value on how quickly things are achieved… and then we rush on to the next thing. When we slow down and really pay attention, the entire construct of time begins to change. It slows down with us.

Make patience a focused aspect of your practice today. Observe when you feel you must “kill time” with your cell phone, talking or reading or playing a game while waiting, and choose instead to be extra alert and aware. When someone is moving too slowly (figuratively or literally) for the pace you have set, consciously adjust to their pace. Become a receptive listener. When others speak, do not plan ahead what you will say when there is an opening. Listen with your whole being, pause, and then speak.

Because it goes against the grain of our human tendencies, cultivating the art of patience will not only provide valuable insight, but you will witness the varied miracles and synchronicities of life that are often missed in the rush.

Attention sets energy in motion

“There is a great value in doing new things, not just for diversion or escape, but in order to help us awaken. When we put ourselves in a new or foreign situation, that very act awakens our senses, our awareness, our presence. Sometimes we have to take a leap in order to experience and heal the fear that holds us ever at the edge of familiar safety. Our task in awakening is to go against the grain of our mechanical tendencies.”
~Ezra Bayda

Consciously choose to break free of repetitive patterns. If you have a morning routine, slip something new into the mix.  Take the scenic route on your next drive. Leave room for mindful exploration and honor the present moment as sacred.
Sacredness inspires us to be more aware. We begin to view life with wonder, awe and gratitude, sending our energy outward with joy and passion while observing the holistic movement of transformation.
Many walk through life without realizing their potential. Let your grace be so inspiring that it awakens grace in another. Love can be the operating force in all of your interactions when you set an intention to bring wisdom and peace into the present moment.

Your Life is Your Message

“You do not write your life with words…You write it with actions. What you think is not important. It is only important what you do.”

~Patrick Ness~

Imagine the life of your dreams and live it Now to the best of your ability. You can expand into mastery by experiencing the present moment with an open heart. Life is a tapestry that is intricately woven by your thoughts, words and actions. You are the artist. Your joy is the light. Your life is the message.

When you live authentically, happiness arises. That energy flows outward touching everything and everyone around you. The way to discern if you’re living your truth is to ask, “Am I completely at peace with myself or am I suffering?”

Every cell in your body is filled with Divine intelligence. Listen to the messages it provides and honor the processes of your awakening. All that is required is the willingness to recognize the magnificence of your being.

The purpose of being human is to awaken to who we truly are. Live fearlessly and dance in the mystery and wonder of being alive.

Control is an Illusion

“What is the path? Residing in this very life, exactly as it is right now… liking or not liking has nothing to do with it.”

~Ezra Bayda~

Awakening calls upon us to be aware of our responses. Rather than seeking to dominate circumstances, we learn to flow with them. Rather than attempting to bend others to our will, we value the sacredness in each person’s path. The only thing over which you have any control is yourself, and that is challenging enough! We’ve all experienced the take-over of the ego and have temporarily lost consciousness; however, these moments of missing the mark become less frequent and intense as we continue our practice.

When we attempt to control the world around us, the energy we emit creates a rigidity of the soul that’s difficult to penetrate. These structures of thought may present themselves in our lives as tenseness, grinding teeth, forgetting to breathe… It’s time to allow spontaneity and vulnerability to enter our lives. If mistakes happen, that’s OK. When life seems like a wild ride, it’s OK. There’s much to be discovered by entering uncharted territory.

Allow your encounters to be authentic. Listen more. Take time to breathe and feel the energies that swirl around you. This is the moment of transformation. No matter what space you’re in right now, know that it will evolve into something different if you are willing to accept new energy into your experience.

Innocence

“See the world through the eyes of your inner child.
The eyes that sparkle in awe and amazement as they see love, magic and mystery in the most ordinary things.”
~Henna Sohail~

After years of adding layers of knowledge and experience, the spiritual seeker comes to realize the value of simplicity, childlike wonder and innocence. Thus, the path of awakening calls upon us to drop all the heaviness we have amassed and return to our true nature.

Playfulness is an important aspect of discovery because it allows us to release all pretense and paves the way for laughter to guide us into new realms of no-thought. Often, our striving actually pushes what we desire away from us. This energy can be reversed by moving into a state of ease and receptivity. Consider all the times you focused considerable energy trying to remember something only to have the word, idea or name dance out of reach. And then after moving on to something new, it comes to you effortlessly.

Bring this openness into your daily experience by choosing to see through the eyes of a child. Explore the immense difference between intellectualizing and hugging a tree. Let your heart lead the way.
