Presence

“Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

When you bring the best version of yourself to this moment, the future will take care of itself. Plans are best utilized to set a new energy in motion, for they encompass expanded vision, desire, expression and joy. Many falter when attachment to the initial concept and plan supersedes the original inspiration. When faced with a blockage or unexpected transition, if you observe the ego becoming more active, ask “Is _____ more important than my state of consciousness?” The answer is likely going to be no.

Energy is fluid, ever-changing and light. Dance within the vibrancy of this moment knowing that something beautiful is in motion. It is our nature to be limited in perception and vision; therefore, trust that your soul knows exactly what it is doing. As we awaken, we release layers of outmoded beliefs, energetic blockages and attachments. With each conscious step forward we discover that the joy is in the doing. This is the moment of your transformation.

Express yourself, find your flow and step into the fullness of who you are. Life will respond accordingly.

Learning Through Contrast

“May you recognize in your life the presence, power, and light of your soul. May you realize that you are never alone, that your soul in its brightness and belonging connects you intimately with the rhythm of the universe. May you have respect for your own individuality and difference. ”

~John O’Donohue~

When experimenting with different ways of being, new dimensions open within the realms of spiritual awakening. One aspect of discovery is learning through contrast. There will be moments when you shine and others when you learn and it’s powerful to remember that either way, you emerge from the experience richer than before.

You are the bridge between the spiritual and the mundane. Whatever speaks to your soul becomes a unique aspect of your human experience. Navigate the contrasts of your life without judgment (self-directed or otherwise) in order to strengthen the various facets of your spirit that are ready to shine. Remember, shadows make the light more prominent.

Seek only to bring the best version of yourself to the present moment. As you evolve, your perception will expand and your actions will express the light of the Divine differently. We are collectively blessed by your Presence in the world.

Growth and Acceptance

According to The Michael Teachings, we arrange several overleaves when planning the blueprint of a life. These set the framework for our personality type and create the perfect foundation for the lessons that we seek to learn in this lifetime. The seven goals are: Re-evaluation, Growth, Discrimination, Acceptance, Submission, Dominance or Stagnation.

This is not a rigid system of thought. One can utilize any of the goals when working through a challenge, but the primary goal is often the answer that we seek when navigating through the intensities of life. The two most commonly used are Growth and Acceptance.

If Growth is your goal it indicates that your soul seeks to expand rapidly; therefore, you’ll often have many intense situations that set the stage for moments of awakening. Someone working with that particular goal instinctively learns how to seek the lesson inherent within the challenge.

For those using Acceptance as a goal, the answer to almost every problem is that they must learn to accept what is and then work with it rather than against it. Rejection is the hardest thing they face. After several years of fighting to fix something they perceive as wrong, they ultimately learn the peace and unconditional love that Acceptance has to offer.

“Know thyself” is written at the temple of Delphi. Once you understand your purpose, strengths and foibles in this lifetime, you are well on your way to enlightenment.

Finding Your Flow

“All matter, including you and I, has rhythmic movement within it and our quest should be to create a proper rhythmic harmony within ourselves…you feel happy when you sit near an ocean because your vibrations try to synchronize with the frequency of the waves.”

~Ed Viswanathan~

There is an ebb and flow to awakening. Be willing to release all that no longer serves you. When we have identified with a particular way of being for a long time, the ego gets invested in that identification and often becomes resistant to all else. Some will say “that’s the way I’ve always been” as if that’s a good thing.

We are here to evolve, to discover the limitless depths of being and play in the realms of infinite potential. Imagine if the caterpillar, upon discovering her brand new wings, ignored them completely in favor of continuing to crawl  through life simply because that is all she has ever known.

In order to find your rhythm within the flow of life, one must master the art of being receptive and accepting without becoming apathetic or asleep throughout the process of transformation. Take a moment to sit in silence. Notice your breath. Pay attention to the rhythms of your body and the flow of thought which arises. It can take some practice to create peaceful space within your mind, but there it waits – love in the space of stillness.

See The Light

“We wonder how people can’t see the most obvious things about themselves – yet we forget those people are us!”
~Ezra Bayda~
When we get caught up in the ego-driven role that someone may be playing in this life, it is easier to judge them, see them as “wrong” or something to fight against. This is the trap of the human experience; however, there is far more to life than meets the eye.
Many spiritual seekers have the ability to see beyond the mundane. To recognize and respond to the sacred in everyone you meet is a powerful practice. Those that challenge us are willing to play an antagonistic role (sometimes at the expense of your love and good-will in this lifetime) in order to fulfill a sacred promise: to assist in our spiritual awakening.
While it may initially be challenging to be objective in the midst of drama; you may discover that you get there more and more quickly as time goes by. What once took weeks, months or even years to heal will eventually move through your experience in minutes. Ultimately, we cultivate mastery, compassion and unwavering love and learn to respond to the soul rather than the ego.

Consciousness

“My new world is a reflection of my new thinking. It is a joy and a delight to plant new seeds, for I know these seeds will become my new experiences. All is well in my world.”

~Louise Hay~

Most people do not experience a flash of insight that immediately shifts their consciousness to a permanent level of enlightenment. Rather, we experience awakening as a slow, progressive journey inward that, layer by layer, releases all that blocks us from seeing our inner sacredness and potential.

The cumulative effects of consistent practice are reflected in our life experiences. Initially, when attention is focused on healing a particular issue, things get more challenging. Life will bring the dysfunction to the surface so that we cannot miss seeing it. From there, we can utilize our tools and begin to break free from our perceived limitation.

Honor your path as sacred. Whatever arises is exactly what you require in order awaken. Trust the process. Know that you are loved, guided and protected each and every step of the way. Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is… You are contributing to the awakening collective consciousness of us all.

Consider This…

Consider this…

You are right where you need to be.

The obstacle is the path.

The person who challenges you the most on the physical plane, loves you the most on the spiritual plane.

Your perceived flaws can be transformed into your biggest assets.

Everything in your experience is a purposeful aspect of your awakening.

Your life is a vibrant conversation with the Divine.

When you bring your shadows into the light of consciousness, they begin to lose their power over you.

Personal responsibility is the gateway to empowerment.

You are much stronger then you know.

When you can embrace the paradoxical nature of your being, resistance disappears.

Limitations can break you free from habit and pivot you into a new adventure.

When you are ready to receive, miracles flow into your experience.

The desire for enlightenment transforms obstacles into opportunities.

Everything unfolds in the perfect way at the perfect time.

High emotion or reactivity indicates that a lesson is in progress.

Just by being who you are, you bring something unique and beautiful to our collective experience.

You are a master in the process of awakening.

And finally… if 10% of us shift to a higher level of consciousness, the world will shift to accommodate us.

Lessons in Love

Our pets play an important role on the journey of awakening. As I began writing, my Pomeranian just insisted that I stop and play for a while. I immediately put aside my work and gave my full attention to a moment of love and snuggles. Though it may have only lasted a few minutes, the energy we shared was healing, calming and felt outside of time.

Animals choose to incarnate as our helpers and act as guides, reminding us how to stay present and love unconditionally. They have a reincarnational series of seven lifetimes as one species and often develop deep connections with a particular human throughout the path of transformation. Each animal remembers all prior lifetimes completely and will often manifest fears and preferences that it adopted in past lives. This helps to give the more advanced animals their special personalities.

When you have a special bond with a beloved pet, it brings added layers of dimension to your life and spiritual growth. They often remind us the importance of taking the time to enjoy the warmth of the sun, to release our worries and play a little and demonstrate the power of unconditional love when we need it most.

Pay attention to the lessons that unfold in your experience through the love, nurturing, loss, healing, and emotional connections that you experience. Honor the sacredness of all beings that cross your path by living with an open heart.

Recognize the Sacred

“I would like my life to be a statement of love and compassion — and where it isn’t, that’s where my work lies.”

~Ram Dass~

Seek to recognize and respond to the sacred in everyone you meet.

When we get caught up in the ego-driven role that someone may be playing in this life, it is easier to judge them, see them as “wrong” or something to fight against. This is the trap of the human experience; however, there is far more to life than meets the eye.

Spiritual seekers have the opportunity to see beyond the mundane. Those who challenge you are willing to play an antagonistic role (sometimes at the expense of your love and good-will in this lifetime) in order to fulfill a sacred promise: to assist in your spiritual awakening.

What once took weeks, months or even years to heal will eventually move through your experience in minutes. Ultimately, we will cultivate mastery, compassion and unwavering love.

Awakening and Intention

“Sunlight comes into your house not because you want it. It happens because you open the windows.”

~Sadhguru~

The three phases of life are Youth, Power and Wisdom. The journey through each level offers unique lessons that can lead one into greater awareness. It’s helpful to remember that everything we experience plays a role in the expansion of consciousness.

Obviously, not everyone has the privilege of growing old and age does not automatically equate with wisdom. For those purposely engaged in awakening, the transitions are filled with possibility. Building upon the wisdom gained through experience, we often revisit places or situations with a new perception and still, thankfully, continue to learn something new.

Don’t be a “once and done” kind of being. There are always new levels to explore. When you choose to approach life with a hint of wonder and openness, life responds in a big way. The nuances take on new meaning and we discover aging as a beautiful rite of passage.

You stand at the threshold of new awareness. Passion, purpose and vision combine to pivot your experience in ways yet to be discovered. Live with an open heart and honor the promptings of your soul.
