Conscious surrender

Life’s wonder and mystery can only be discovered where you are.

“When our plans crumble and there seems to be nothing left, it is only by completely surrendering to what is that we can realize that what is left is more then enough.”
~Ezra Bayda~
The awakening spirit becomes empowered through surrender. Rather than trying to force life to meet their perception of perfection, they seek to see the perfection in life as it is. As human beings, our view is narrow – typically focused on ego-driven desire and based upon our immediate life experience. We cannot see the threads of life as they are woven together to create the tapestry of creation. The hand of the Divine is always at work in ways that we cannot imagine with our limited perception.

And yet, often there is an aspect to our belief system that prompts us to attempt to control, plan for every contingency or need assurance prior to taking action. Spiritual mastery involves conscious surrender to what is. As you cultivate worthiness and self-esteem, it becomes less important to be seen as right. Inner humility guides us. Love becomes the expression of our joy and what you need to know will make itself known at the perfect time.

Today my intention is to act with integrity, do my best and accept what is.

Be what you wish to see in the world.

“If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change toward him… we need not wait to see what others do.”
~Ghandi~

Humans are amazing mirrors – reactive, often afraid and trying to hide it, wanting to be seen a certain way. We tend to mirror what we see because that is how we learned as children. This habit of mimicry allowed us to try on all sorts of behaviors and eventually the habit became an ingrained part of us.

But what happens when someone breaks free from the restrictive aspects of the fearful self? Everything. A new energy is set in motion which allows us to explore undiscovered facets of the soul.

No matter what you wish to experience, begin to attract it by consciously choosing to immerse yourself in that energy. Tired of all the fighting in the world? Remove conflict within yourself. Wish for better communication in your relationships? Slow down and communicate with love and positive intention. Choose your words carefully and be mindful of the energy you add to our collective consciousness.

This is the moment of transformation. What will you choose to do with it?
Today my intention is to live a peaceful life.

Listen to the silence

Pay attention to the gap – between words, musical notes, thoughts – it contains worlds of possibility.

“When you go in, you touch a new type of silence – the presence of silence itself. It is not only an absence of noise, it is something absolutely positive, almost visible, tangible.”
~Osho~

True silence exists within you. More than the absence of thought, it is the deep and profound stillness that holds the seeds of infinite possibility. Spend some time today listening to that silence. Slow down and pay attention to the space in between your heartbeats. Active listening puts you in touch with the present moment in way that is profound, almost magical.

You are a powerful co-creator in your experience. You have the opportunity to determine how you will fill those spaces. Leave a little room for stillness, kindness, fulfillment and gratitude. Seek only to expand yourself in ways that empower you. You will discover that love resides at the core of everything.

Today my intention is to listen to a tree.

Change comes from within

The world is your reflection.

“Strong emotional reactions always signal the need to look more deeply at your beliefs.”
~Ezra Bayda~
No matter what challenges you face, you hold the key to transformation. As we learn to embrace new ways of being and thinking, our experiences change. The higher your consciousness, the greater your perspective.

Remember this: when your ego tries to tell you that you’ve tried everything and nothing works, you haven’t. There is always something new to learn and freedom awaits. Persistence on the spiritual path will eventually lead you to discover the ease and grace that comes from living with an open heart.

So, if you’d like to love your work (or relationship or living condition), begin by changing the thoughts that create anxiety or displeasure. Choose to create joy in your own experience and love where you are. Two things will happen: you’ll have more peace and clarity in the present moment which may help you to see that your situation is actually more pleasant than you thought or you’ll have a positive attitude and better energy which can be focused on creating a new situation.

The only human error is to complain without positive action, thus creating a prison. When we discover the prisons of our own creation, the most empowering thing to learn is that we hold the key… and the door was never locked.

Conscious transformation

Baby steps spark miracles.

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
~George Bernard Shaw~
Contrast helps us to create change in our experience. It’s important to recognize the value of accepting things that we traditionally avoid. Lack can bring greater abundance. Illness can prompt us into healthier choices. Hatred teaches the power of love. The nuances of life can only be seen and appreciated through acceptance; therefore, acceptance is the key component to conscious transformation.

Become a loving witness and cultivate the art of living without attachment. Empowerment is possible when we can be objective and make choices that support healthy transformation. Many times this is simply achieved by releasing things that no longer serve you.

Do your choices create a joyful way of living? If not, it’s time to try something new. Embark upon new adventures and let your conscious choices spark a world of unlimited possibility.

Today my intention is to remember that every bridge I cross brings me to a higher level of fulfillment. There is always something new to discover.

Conscious living

Your primary purpose is to live consciously, to awaken.

“What happens when we slow down and pay attention? Everything! Innumerable delights are right at hand.”
~Ezra Bayda~
We are masters in the process of awakening – all of us. The only difference is where one resides on that journey. It can be hard for some to imagine the spiritual awakening of someone who still resides at a lower level of consciousness; however, it will happen. Lifetime after lifetime we seek enlightenment through experience.

Everything that seems to be an obstruction to your happiness is actually facilitating your spiritual growth. Choose to bring a different point of view to challenging situations. See them as something that your soul has agreed to with a specific purpose in mind. Know that you have reached a point in your soul’s development where you can absolutely handle whatever comes your way, and most importantly, consistently ask yourself “What am I trying to learn?”

As you change, the world around you is transformed. Set yourself free by choosing empowerment and acceptance, and let that wisdom inform how you present yourself to the world. As Lao Tzu teaches, the greatest gift that you have to give is that of your own awakening.

Today my intention is to live consciously.

Purposeful neutrality

What you fight, you strengthen.

“Only when we abandon blame, can we transform the energy of anger into compassionate service.”
~Ezra Bayda~
When people become angry, the aura turns red and expands, typically colliding with the enraged aura of the other. The two egos do battle until one “wins” by taking the others’ life force. The other is left feeling drained, head-achy and tired. This is psychic vampirism.

People of low consciousness are constantly doing battle – online, in person, while driving, even alone yelling at the tv. They are disconnected from the Divine (or perceive themselves to be so) and so, feeling cut off, mistakenly think this hostile engagement is a necessary part of the human experience.

The awakened soul has healthier ways of recharging such as meditation, gratitude, prayer, music, joy, giving and kindness. Knowing their ability to receive light and energy directly from the universe, there is no longer any desire to participate in negative energy exchanges.

However, from time you may run across someone lost in dysfunction. Purposely choose to be mindful, silent and compassionate. Keep your thoughts, words and  actions neutral and project kindness. This conscious approach keeps your energy at a higher level so the others’ ego may deflate from having nothing to feed upon, or they may choose another target.

Today my intention is to facilitate transformation by giving and being love.

Creating change

Believe in something beautiful…

“When contemplating what our life’s work might be, we are often driven by our attachment to security. Perhaps the one question we don’t ask often enough is “What do I have to offer?”
~Ezra Bayda~
No matter what you wish to create in your experience, it begins with a shift in your awareness. See what is possible rather than placing your focus on what is not working. Honor the process of transformation itself, embracing the small changes that naturally come from changing your thoughts.

When change becomes a celebration, it awakens infinite possibility. There are no limits to what you can create. We must be open to new ideas and perceptions in order to accept new energy. Those who remain stuck in beliefs such as “that’s the way I’ve always been” or “things will never change” live in self-made prisons.

Choose to bring your conscious awareness to your activities today. Allow the new to enter you by changing your perception. When you think differently, when you see differently, something new emerges in your experience and you will be transformed.

Today my intention is to remember that my primary purpose is to live consciously.

Dream more

Worry is a waste of your precious energy.

“Mind always thinks in terms of purpose, profit, utility. When the mind disappears, action does not disappear, activity disappears – and there is a great difference between the two. Activity has utility; action is pure joy, pure beauty. You act not because something has to be achieved; you act because action is a dance, is a song. You act because you are so full of energy.”
~Osho~
Conscious action, when it arises within you, has its own vitality and quality of being. We can lose ourselves momentarily in this beautiful dimension of creativity and movement. The awakened soul sees the present moment as something to be fully experienced, and through that experience we commune with the Divine.

This is the moment of your transformation; there is no need to wait. Approach it in such a way that it enhances your life, brings a little more joy and find your bliss. Enlightenment is a unique experience – create your own rather than attempting to duplicate that of another. Creativity awakens your dignity and allows you to explore new facets of who you are.
Today my intention is to live in a way that makes me feel free.

I Am…

“I Am”… the two most powerful words in the universe.

“Change your view of the world to one of awe and bewilderment. Rather than looking for miracles, shift to seeing everything as miraculous… Live the mystery by beginning to perceive what average eyes fail to notice.”
~Wayne Dyer~
Know that your words are powerful. Whether spoken consciously or in jest, the words you speak determine what experiences are drawn to you. Notice especially what you consistently say after “I am” and purposely choose loving, positive and empowered words.

Expect life to be safe and joyous. Expect it to flow in a way that is perfect for your growth and see your experiences as an extension of your deepest beliefs. If there are things you wish to change, focus on the end result rather than the perceived problem. Let your thoughts, words and actions support the positive changes you are in the process of creating,

Above all, be kind to yourself. See your sojourn here as an adventure. Slow down and enjoy the present moment and all that it has to offer. Begin your transformation by saying things like, “I am right where I need to be. I am in the midst of healthy changes. I am adventurous/beautiful/joyful/abundant.” And so it is.
Today my intention is to be inspired, enchanted, peaceful and amazed.
