Be Here Now

“No matter what our personal circumstances may be, if we ourselves become a source of light, then there will be no darkness in the world.”
~Daisaku Ikeda~

This moment contains limitless miracles and it holds the key to your transformation. For those who have eyes to see, the pathway to Oneness unfolds before us. Put down your phone, turn off the tv and turn inward. Become consciousness itself.

When this world feels overwhelming and filled with conflict, it is calling upon us to bring our awareness deeply into the present moment. Our collective ego is currently engaged in opposition, loud in opinion, unbending judgment and blame that it’s becoming eerily apparent that we stand at the threshold of awakening. Egoic distractions indicate that a breakthrough is imminent.

Each of us must ensure that we are bringing peacefulness, love and compassion to the Now. Make your own state of consciousness the top priority of your experience. You will then respond rather than react. Your words and actions will be congruent and you will be a conduit of light in your life situation.

We are mirrors for one another. Let’s show each person in our experience the very best in themselves.

Be a Conscious Creator

“In the infinity of life where I am,
All is perfect, whole and complete,
I no longer choose to believe in old limitations and lack, I now choose to begin to see myself
As the Universe sees me — perfect, whole, and complete.”
~Louise Hay~

When envisioning change in your life, begin by clearly defining the desired end result. Then take steps to get there – it doesn’t matter if they’re baby steps or leaps of faith – consistently moving forward in the direction of your dreams. By opening every avenue of energy that you can, you place yourself in a position to receive assistance and direction from the Divine.

All transformation is set in motion in the Now – future plays no part in the act of conscious creation. Set your intention now, take action now, be willing to receive now and most importantly, choose happiness and fulfillment Now.

When we consciously engage in the journey we draw the necessary support, inspiration and circumstances into our experience. It’s important to remain detached from how things unfold. Often, there are miracles that await or perhaps the original vision expands with wonderful surprises. It’s empowering to see what gets set in motion from that original defining thought. Let joy and inspiration be your guide.

Anam Cara

“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”
~Albert Schweitzer~
A chance encounter, reconnecting with an old friend, recognizing a kindred spirit… these everyday miracles are transformative. As we grow in awareness and experience, we learn to embrace these moments of love and connection. They often seem to come in the perfect way to assist with times of change, bringing new insights and perspectives.
Be grateful for those who grace your life. Celebrate the bond of love between you and elevate one another. Let your soul friends, your Anam Cara, inspire you to be the best version of yourself. The gifts we share become our strengths. When friendship connects on a deep inner level, the soul responds with a resounding “Yes!” and we are renewed.
Compassion and clarity are the fulcrums of this journey of awakening. We can act as mirrors for one another and remind those we love of their beauty and potential. Nothing is more sacred.

Expand Outward

“As we grow in our consciousness, there will be more compassion and more love, and then the barriers between people, between religions, between nations will begin to fall.”
~Ram Dass~

Often it can be challenging to see through the illusions of this world to the love which connects us; however, that is the ultimate purpose of our sojourn through time and space. We must begin within and expand outward. When repeating patterns make you feel trapped, purposely try something different. Take yourself into the unknown and see what arises.

As we learn to overcome our fear, something new emerges. Each situation and life circumstance has something to teach; therefore, varied experiences will give an expanded understanding of your true self and potential.

Find your unique balance of work and play, of celebration and solitude, of giving and receiving and let your life be a dance of opposites and paradox. The most important aspect of spiritual work is how we choose to incorporate it into our physical experience.

Self Care

“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it—through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.”
~Victoria Moran~

There is nothing more beautiful than someone who shines from within…

Everyone who has manifested you into their life, has done so because of the unique light and energy that you possess. When you can be yourself, love yourself and occasionally laugh at yourself, you are providing them with the perfect experience.

It’s that lightness of non-expectation that is so appealing. When you first meet someone, the attraction begins because you are simply being you. When we load ourselves up with the weight of expectation, fear and desire, that beautiful, original and carefree spirit gets buried underneath layers of thought.

Love yourself. Reward yourself with thoughts of praise. Know that others respect you and appreciate all that you do. With our compassionate, loving attitudes, we help to create a world where it is safe to love one another.

Compassionate Detachment

“Detachment does not mean non-involvement.
You can be deeply involved but not entangled.”
~Jaggi Vasudev~

True love, whether expressed through romance, friendship, our relationship to the planet or to ourselves, requires the gift of space. When we drop expectation and neediness, what remains is authentic compassion and kindness. We learn to honor one anothers paths, thriving during moments together as well as those spent in solitude, and consistently tend to our own healing. In this manner, loving relationships are based upon mutual respect rather than drama or conflict and there is no desire that anything be other than what it is.

Many people believe that drama (emotional reaction and conflict) proves that someone cares. This is an ego-driven concept that measures worth by how much energy we absorb from one another. When you notice that you are no longer interested in participating in drama, love becomes a higher, more accepting quality that is born from the culmination of experience. And from there, we enter the realm of detached compassion.

See life as an adventure to be lived. Walk forward with the trust of a child in the process of discovery. Relate to life from a space of gratitude and bless all the moments we share with one another and take one more step into the unknown. Allow those in your life to learn their own lessons in their own time-frame and in their own way. This is a gift of love.

Embrace Your Role

“The choices of role determine the nature of experience and perception, the part which the soul will play throughout it’s cycle.”
~from Michael – The Basic Teachings~

When we choose this planet as a playground, we select a role that remains unchanged throughout our many lifetimes. This provides us the opportunity to explore the many facets of being and facilitates karmic lessons.

There are seven roles:

  • Servers make up 30% of the population and are willing to tend to others’ needs
  • Priests comprise 5% of the population. They desire to propel others toward spiritual awakening
  • Artisans are 20% of the world’s population. They are eccentric, creative and bring new things to the physical plane
  • Sages seem more numerous than 8% because they are typically quite visible. They disseminate, inform and see themselves as truth-tellers, often being talkative and quick-witted
  • Warriors help life to function. They are they doers – strong-willed, focused and single minded. They compose 20% of the population
  • Kings are natural leaders and attract love and loyalty from those who follow them. They encompass only 1-2% of the population
  • Scholars are driven to accumulate knowledge. People go to them for information or an objective viewpoint. 15% percent of the population, they also are the ones who record life’s information in the Akashic Records

All these roles combine together to create the perfect tapestry of our collective awakening. When you choose to live your truth, trust your intuition and embrace your role, life unfolds perfectly. By living in alignment with your soul’s purpose, you bring something special to the world and have a greater impact than you may realize.

Life’s Blessings

“To transform the world, we must begin with ourselves; and what is important in beginning with ourselves is the intention.”
~Jiddu Krishnamurti~

All change begins within. It starts with a desire to create peace or healing or joy, and extends outward. We must be willing to allow new perceptions into our experience. The subtle, yet profound shifts naturally expand our energy and impact our relationship to life.

Challenges show us where we are stuck in outmoded ways of being. Resist nothing; instead, be willing to approach your life circumstances with love and a willingness to change. Be patient with yourself and trust the processes of your awakening. Far more is happening on your behalf than you realize.

You may discover that this new perception, expanded way of thinking and relating, and authentic peacefulness spark healthy changes within all your relationships. This is how we teach one another. And sometimes… love will speak through a stranger. Whether someone graces your life for a moment or for a lifetime, be fully present with them while you walk together on the path of awakening.

This is your moment of transformation. Acceptance and awareness lead to empowerment. Breathe, and take one conscious step forward.

Awakening

“We are not the only ones affected by our recovery. The spiritual awakening heals the world one person at a time.”
~Marta Mrotek~

When we live aligned with our soul’s purpose, we have a greater ability to access the grace and harmony which underlies all things. There are two aspects to your purpose and life mission. Your inner purpose is to awaken. Your outer purpose may change throughout your incarnation on the planet, but it ultimately supports your inner purpose. There are many, many pathways to enlightenment.

A balanced state of consciousness cannot be shaken by events or other people. While the idea of awakening seems nebulous to many, it is this beautiful intangibility that creates a true sense of empowerment. The infinite cannot be described with mere words, it must be lived fully from the heart.

So allow your outer purpose to shift and change in whatever way best serves your spiritual growth. Apparent losses and challenges are simply part of the game of awakening in which we are all engaged. Whether someone is consciously seeking awareness or not, their soul is still propelling them forward in the most appropriate way for the unfoldment of their journey. As we tend to our own awakening, this loving energy impacts everything and everyone around us.

Presence

“See if you can give more attention to an action, rather than the result that you want to achieve through it. Give your fullest attention to whatever the moment presents. This implies that you also completely accept what is, because you cannot give your full attention to something and at the same time resist it.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

There is nothing more important than your state of consciousness in this moment.

When we attach our happiness to a specific end result, we give away our power. The ego loves to delay joy by planting the idea that “when so-and-so is mine, I’ll stop feeling so alone” or “when I have this job or this much saved in the bank, I’ll finally be able to feel safe.” All of these ideas treat the present moment merely as something to get through in order to experience some better moment in the future.

You are responsible for your own joy. Feel it Now. No matter what you desire to accomplish, joy in this moment is the key to manifesting the life of your dreams. Plans fall apart from time to time, people may do the opposite of what you wish they would do, you may miss the mark… the only thing over which you have any control is how you choose to respond.

Treat this moment as sacred. Whatever you choose to do, do it with complete mindfulness and bring a sense of playfulness into your experience. Your willingness to take conscious action is far more powerful than allowing your actions to be led by anger or fear.
