Comfortable in Solitude

Loneliness is absence of the other. Aloneness is the presence of oneself.
~Osho~

Feelings of aloneness can arise when we are not in partnership with another or when we feel misunderstood by those around us. In those moments, we have a choice: we can feel lonely or we can celebrate the freedom that solitude can bring. The human condition carries the need to be accepted, loved and desired as we seek the approval of family or friends. If you are in a period of aloneness in your life, be aware of how you are choosing to experience it.

All relationships can be distracting – especially the good ones. Because of this, the soul will often arrange to have moments of solitude to do serious work. Life-changing insights tend to arise when we can direct our awareness inward. Ultimately, it’s empowering to discover comfort in aloneness while allowing those who grace our lives to occasionally add their unique flavor to our experience.

When you walk through the unknown with the trusting spirit of a child, being open and vulnerable, even the smallest aspects of life can prompt greater awareness. Conscious experience allows you to discover new aspects within yourself, and you are amazing.

You Are A Divine Being

“May you recognize in your life the presence, power, and light of your soul. May you realize that you are never alone, that your soul in its brightness and belonging connects you intimately with the rhythm of the universe. May you have respect for your own individuality and difference. ”
~John O’Donohue~
Step back from the masses and create a reality that consistently supports your growth. The journey of awakening calls upon us to be unique in a world of conformity. We can choose to express a higher consciousness throughout the movement of our lives.
There are many paths to enlightenment. Explore those that nurture your spirit while allowing the light of love to shine through you. Be aware of how you utilize your energy. Instead of trying to get others to understand your way of being, demonstrate it.
You have chosen to be here now, in these times of upheaval and darkness, to be a source of light. Don’t go back to sleep. Open your heart to the wonder of life and love, and the Oneness of our collective experience. There is nothing more beautiful than being in the presence of one who is a conscious, living embodiment of the Divine.

Whispers of Wisdom

“Open the bloom of your heart and become a gift of beauty to the world.”
~Bryant McGill~

Simple things matter. Small acts of kindness can change situations in powerful ways. When we choose to live gently, we discover that our sojourn is filled with majestic spaces. Instead of rushing from one thing to another, one person to another, solving problems or acquiring more, we have the capacity to hear the whispers of wisdom.

Consciously create quiet space in your experience. The world is a sanctuary that is overlooked all too often because of our focus on the mundane. Today, seek to bring gentleness to your life situation, whatever it is, and treat yourself well.

In the stillness we can slow down and experience the fullness of life itself. You can step into the inner sanctum of the Divine, drink deeply of peace and bring that sacred energy into the present moment.

Life is a Celebration

“Old age is your own creation: it can be a misery, it can be a celebration; it can be simply a despair, and it can also be a dance. It all depends how deeply ready you are to accept existence, whatsoever it brings.”
~Osho~

There is no need to wait for a reason to be joyful. Honor this moment through laughter and playfulness and bring a gentle awareness to the perfection of your life. The ego-mind creates a heaviness that distracts us from enjoying the present moment. It may tell you that things are not good enough, that you are not yet good enough or that there’s too much to be done… there’s no time to be silly or frivolous. Consider that the ego’s job is to teach through the contrast; therefore, choosing to purposely explore the opposite of it’s serious inclination is a good use of your energy.

Those who know how to celebrate life also know the joys of working hard, and loving deeply. They bring an empowered, meditative quality to the present moment rather than being lost in thought. See if you can recognize the sacredness in the ordinary. All that you need is already within you and all of existence responds to the wonder of your light.

Be Yourself

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
Our cultural imprinting teaches that something is missing. Many feel pressured to look or be a certain way, and indeed we have entire industries dedicated to ensuring a subconscious (or not so subconscious) belief that we are flawed. Because of this, many seek to transform their experience because they do not like a particular aspect of themselves or their life; however, when we approach change in this way, we actually reinforce the perceived negative circumstances to remain in place.
Take it to a higher dimension. When you choose to operate from a place of love and acceptance, your actions have greater power and momentum. It becomes easy to release old patterns and explore one’s relationship to life in a way that is healthy and enlightened.
Let your choices be a tribute to your unique way of being in the world. See yourself as a living expression of the Divine. Your words and actions will then be a peaceful and empowered reflection of the love you have for yourself.

What We Think…

“Enlightenment is nothing more than the complete absence of resistance to what is. End of story.”
~Adyashanti~

Acceptance is empowerment. Begin where you are with what you have.

Then, take a deep slow breath, close your eyes and imagine….

Imagine that you are safe. Feel the healing powers of the earth with each and every step you take.

Imagine that you are surrounded by love and that you can easily recognize and understand the guidance that is available to you.

Imagine that there are no wrong choices. Each path simply leads to a different type of experience – any of which will lead you exactly where you need to be in order to learn and grow.

Imagine that it is easier than ever before to be present. See yourself basking in the beauty of a day filled with unlimited possibility and visualize yourself walking forward in faith that all is well.

Now realize that all that you have imagined already exists on some level. Each of us must discover our own way of being in the world. You have the power to create whatever experience you wish. Why not make it a joyful, passion-filled journey?

Life is Art

“We all have our own breathing space where we can capture the art of life, reminisce all the splendid moments, and bring us back to learn.”
~Shaa Zainol~
Presence is the art of life. When you truly pay attention, everything becomes a teacher. There are truths hidden in the silences that await discovery. As you view yourself as a conscious co-creator within your own experience, it becomes easier to access a higher perspective and observe the movement of your life.
Sometimes we have to be who we aren’t in order to discover who we are. As you awaken, you will naturally make choices that reflect your new awareness. Each day presents a blank field of limitless potential. What will you choose to create? You are not defined by your past. The journey of your soul has led you, piece by piece, to this moment. The only thing that matters is what you choose to create now that you have cultivated a deeper understanding of yourself.
Take a moment to simply be present. Close your eyes, breathe deeply, honor yourself as sacred, hold yourself in love and just be. What emerges? Begin from there.

Living in Joy

“If we can just let go and trust that things will work out they way they’re supposed to, without trying to control the outcome, then we can begin to enjoy the moment more fully. The joy of the freedom it brings becomes more pleasurable than the experience itself.”
~Goldie Hawn~

Joy is what remains when we release that which no longer serves us – fear, ego, limitation and procrastination.

Stress destroys one’s health and well-being and blocks us from experiencing all the present moment has to offer; however, joy creates a flow of abundance and empowerment. Those who choose to be joyful discover the magic of being a powerful co-creator throughout the various movements of life.

Find your own joyful way of being. Savor your life experience and dance in the flow of love. Let each moment be a reminder that you are infinite and divine for you are truly a spiritual master in the process of awakening.

Being fully present guides you through any challenges that arise with an expanded awareness of the possibilities that are available to you. From this space of objectivity, you’ll discover greater balance and freedom to explore the infinite facets of your being.

Inner Freedom

“I don’t mind what happens. That is the essence of inner freedom.
It is a timeless spiritual truth: release attachment to outcomes,
deep inside yourself, you’ll feel good no matter what.”
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Have you ever been overwhelmed by a beautiful day? Have you allowed yourself to sit and just be, appreciated the breeze as it touched your skin or loved a moment of stillness in the midst of a busy world? That is reality. That sense of wonder which connects you to life is available in every situation. Underneath the chaos of the mind lies an eternal reservoir of grace that you can drink from anytime you wish.

The light of your consciousness transforms whatever it shines upon. Periodically take a moment to bring your attention to the Now and reside fully within it. Even the most mundane aspects of life will sparkle with brilliance and you will be able to recognize the sacredness of your own divinity.

This moment provides a wonderful new opportunity to see yourself clearly. Bask in the radiance of the light which shines through you. You are love in motion.

Mindful Silence

“Learn to be silent. Let your quiet mind listen and absorb.”
~Pythagoras~

Silence is more than the absence of noise. A living presence, it allows us to enter the temple of the Divine by journeying deep within ourselves. Very few people are comfortable in the space of infinite possibility. They seek diversion and distraction and become lost within the echos and mechanisms of the mind.

Mindful silence will connect you to all of existence. This moment is beautiful, fulfilling and poignant. When you immerse yourself within it, it becomes apparent that all you need is already here. Cease striving for a particular end result. Instead, find the completeness in the Now. Whatever you choose to do, however you choose to feel, do it completely and patiently. This immersion will bring about transcendence. Live every moment as if there is no other moment to come.

It is the space between the notes which creates beauty in music. Without the space and intent, there is only noise. Learn to be the space in the symphony of your life. Embody compassion and stillness and purposely align yourself with love. In the stillness you’ll discover that everything is possible, yet nothing is required.
