Divine Potential

You are ready to shine.
“The Orchid Priestess of your highest spiritual destiny calls to you now, beloved. She calls you to your purpose, path and Soul passion. You are called to rise again and again to live up into your potential, with all its uniqueness and beauty.”
~Alana Fairchild~

The path of awakening is often experienced like a spiral of energy. There is an initial blast of inspiration or new vision that propels us to follow wherever the journey leads us. The initial practice is powerful and new; however, many experience a lull when the bloom wears off, and, despite their best intentions can become distracted by life.

Sometimes it may seem that you’re repeating old lessons or revisiting information you’ve studied before. From this higher state of consciousness, with your expanded vision and wisdom, do you not see that there are layers of energy and information that you may have missed the first time around?

This journey of insight, expansion and review is meant to show you your potential. While we may have transformative moments and sparks of possibility that burst into living flames of awareness, our spiritual practice must be a consistent breath of love that we bring to our daily, mundane experience. Give yourself the freedom to explore all the facets of light that emanate from you. You are ready to shine.

Live in Communion

Everything is energy.

“Looking with a mind that’s awake reveals the shimmering pulse of life. Looking with a mind full of thoughts reveals only your thoughts.”
~Ezra Bayda~

When you really pay attention, you’ll discover that there is beauty everywhere. Internal commentary must cease in order for us to recognize the perfection of the present moment. Within this internal stillness, we can learn to look with the heart.

Artists have discovered the art of seeing. They find the aliveness in things that others might pass by or even discard. Creativity creates a filter through which they see the world. Cultivate your inner artist by developing a loving relationship with the world around you. Find joy in the little things.

Albert Einstein once said that there are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. Choosing the latter will ensure a life filled with wonder and delight. You have the power to create this in your experience right now. Why wait?

Share Your Gifts

This new day is filled with limitless possibility.

“We’re all just walking each other home.”
~Ram Dass~

Honor the sacredness of the present moment through gratitude. When we stop and recognize the beauty of creation, we become loving witnesses to life itself. Everything is a reflection of your own state of consciousness. So when a rainbow awakens wonder within you, turn inward for it is an indicator of your own wonder and magic.

Gaze upon one another with love. Your smile has the power to awaken joy in others. Your consciousness has the power to awaken the consciousness of others. Your compassion has the power to awaken compassion in others. These are the gifts that you give the world. And it is forever transformed because of your sojourn in it.

Awareness activates dormant energies. Our ability to create is incredibly powerful; therefore, end your gratitude moment by setting an intention. If each of us chooses to be an authentic example of kindness and patience and states this intention out loud each morning, what might come of it?

The Human Experience

You are an infinite source of light engaged in a temporary human experience.

“The Tao gives you birth through a great outpouring of love. The love becomes light, light becomes energy, and energy becomes matter.”
~Jose Luis Stevens~

Here we dance in human form. We engage with one another in the play of consciousness, exploring relationships and energetic attachments that create the foundation of experience. Spiritual practice is not about denial. It is absolute inclusion of all things as sacred as we discover Oneness through the world of form.

Awakening naturally brings about empowerment. Recognizing our true, infinite nature makes it easier to take personal responsibility for our own experience. Feelings of victimization transform into strength. Confusion becomes insight. Inertia becomes conscious action.

Enjoy the human experience. Have your preferences and passions; however, do not allow them to destroy your peace by becoming solidified demands and expectations. Our desires are meant to open new pathways of experience. They prompt exploration and, by releasing attachment, we can play in the flow of infinite universal love and energy with one another.

Perception

Beyond the mechanisms of the mind lies a vast source of wisdom and peace.

“Can miles truly separate you from friends… If you want to be with someone you love, aren’t you already there?”
~Richard Bach~

Time and space are mental constructs. In reality, we are all deeply connected to one another… and yet, the mind creates the illusion of separation. Healers and miracle workers cultivate the art of traversing lines of energy in order to send light and love to those in need. Practice seeing beyond the ego-driven story so that you can access the depth of your heart connections… no matter the distance.

We are here to thrive, to awaken and to embrace one another with joy. This becomes easier as awareness grows. Consider how one piece of new information or a deeper understanding of someone else’s journey can transform how you perceive a situation. With this in mind, remember that we humans have a very limited perception. All that we see represents about 1% of what is actually in play at a given moment.

Approach your life experience with humility and remember that there is always something new to discover. Walk in the world with the innocence of a child and marvel at the wonders of the divine. Your awareness will expand and your experience will be transformed.

Loving Awareness

Honor this place, this moment, this experience as sacred.

“Wherever you are and whatever you do, be in love.”
~Rumi~

Learn to look beyond the physical roles that people play in this life. Awakening calls upon us to see and respond to one another with open hearts and this cannot be done from a space of judgment. Only conscious practice can help you to cultivate the skill of loving awareness.

As always, the place to begin is within. Create a moment of stillness. Close your eyes, just be present and breathe. Feel the energy of the divine flowing through you and from you and notice how it extends outward. Your human form is a temporary expression of spirit. Now open your eyes. Whatever you see is another temporary form of spirit – a tree, a chair, the sky, a grasshopper… stop everything and honor that form as sacred. Sense its energy and recognize the reflection of yourself within it.

Try this as you walk through the world. When interacting, stop and look beyond the physical expression of the person in front of you. Sense their spirit and purposely interact with them from this level of awareness. You may be surprised at the openness with which they respond. Teach Oneness through your compassion and kindness.

Growth Through Intensity

Your purpose is to awaken and all of life supports you in this endeavor.

“For most people, their spiritual teacher is their suffering. Because eventually the suffering brings about awakening.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

Suffering, whether self-inflicted or the result of outside events, brings hidden aspects of our shadow self to the surface of our consciousness. Often these are things that have been repressed or ignored in the past and their appearance now has great import on your path of transformation.

When you are faced with intense internal challenges consider viewing them as teachers rather than something that needs to be eradicated or hidden. Look deeply within to the source of your conflict and then purposely surround it with love and compassion. Know that you are on the verge of an awakening.

These inner paradoxes lead us down roads we would never consciously choose to travel. They call upon us to shatter the ego-self and strip away things and ideas that no longer serve us. Intensity accelerates your spiritual growth in ways that simple study and desire cannot. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you are ready for this. Your spirit has requested movement and the fact that something new is arising indicates that you are ready to navigate your way to higher levels of consciousness.

Compassion

Awakening changes how we interact with the world.

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.”
~Maya Angelou~

No matter where one resides on the path of transformation, keep in mind that everyone is doing the best they can based upon their soul age, childhood imprinting, history and level of consciousness. Each of us fumbles along the way toward ecstasy and if we can hold space for one another, we will not add drama into the collective experience.

With this in mind, be kind to yourself. Know that you are a master who is still in the process of awakening. There may be areas of your life where you excel and others that still require conscious attention, but the process of evolution is constant.

As we awaken, we make choices that reflect our expanding consciousness. Be compassionate with those who grace your life. When you find them in distress, remember what it felt like to be asleep, lost and trapped in illusion. Know that your kindness and patience will plant seeds that may take root.

Facing Challenges Consciously

We never stop learning. When faced with a challenge, consciously turn toward it.

“The spiritual practice of relationships is about working on ourselves only, freeing ourselves from the constricting grip of our own unhappiness. It is not the other person’s job to take our unhappiness away; our discomfort is our own responsibility. Attending to our own spiritual tasks – seeing our judgments, opinions, beliefs, demands, and staying present with the fears out of which they all arise – frees others to move toward us. Then, when they no longer feel the need to defend, they become more willing to take care of their job. Thus joy in relationships becomes possible.”
~Ezra Bayda~

When challenges arise, turn inward and pay attention. Whether found in health, relationships, finances or within your spiritual practice, you are ready for something transformative to enter your life. Facing challenges consciously accelerates your awakening and your willingness to be an active participant in your own growth guarantees movement in your experience.

Be kind to yourself. We all have moments of brilliance as well as moments when we miss the mark. Empowerment calls upon each of us to take personal responsibility for our current state of consciousness so that we can engage life with an open heart.

You are here to awaken and to spark awakening in others. Act from the heart and allow circumstances to unfold as they will.

Contrast

Wisdom arises when we allow the soul to experience what is without judgment.

“The path to love requires open-hearted attention to the very things that seem to block our way to it.”
~Ezra Bayda~

The richness of various ideas, textures, perceptions and soul expression creates a vast tapestry of exquisite beauty. Contrasts allow us to experience life from several different perspectives as we explore the nuances of wholeness. We must dance within dark and light to fully appreciate the perfection in the imperfection.

Positive and negative, sorrow and bliss, yin and yang teach us of the infinite possibilities inherent within neutrality. Resist nothing and instead, allow yourself the opportunity to fully experience the present moment with an open heart. There is always something new waiting to be discovered.

Life allows us to learn from one another through contrast. Quietly appreciate differing viewpoints and history. There is a sacred unity at the core of your being and it comes to life through being a witness of life’s beauty.
