Standing at the Crossroads

“Each day is a new beginning. You can start fresh, anticipating what today will bring. Or you can just settle for yesterday’s doubts, fears, or worries. Which road will you take? Do you take the path to the clear present or the the shadows of the past?”

~Eve Evangelista~

There are times that we stand at the crossroads from where an infinite number of paths emerge. The higher your level of consciousness, the greater your vision. As you awaken, your choices will be prompted by profound insight and empowerment. Choose to experience your life through adventure and participation and don’t be afraid to venture into new places.

There is only one thing to ask: “Has my life been a celebration or a sadness?” When you find your unique way of expressing yourself you may discover that the world desperately needs what you have to offer. No matter what you choose to do, do it mindfully. Become immersed within the present moment with joy, acceptance and enthusiasm and the way forward will make itself known.

We are engaged in a collective process of awakening; however, there are many paths to enlightenment. Choose the ones fill your soul with inspiration and joy.

Enlightenment

“Enlightenment is not about becoming divine. Instead it’s about becoming more fully human. . . . It is the end of ignorance.”
~Lama Surya Das~

Enlightenment is a slow, transformative process. The journey inward hesitantly begins with many starts and stops. The heart feels pulled to engage the mystery and we begin the fumbling movement towards ecstasy.

The ego equates enlightenment with death – and indeed, enlightenment is the death of the ego. As we evolve, it must become more subtle and so we visit the same type of circumstances repeatedly until we have gleaned insight from many differing levels of consciousness.

Ultimately, the soul heeds the call of awakening and we are able to break free from the ravages of karma. While life still unfolds as it will, we no longer feel victimized by circumstance; instead, awareness transforms even the most challenging situations through love.

Each of us will forge a unique pathway to higher dimensions. The most beautiful thing that you can do is share your insights and wisdom and act in a way that exemplifies them in the world of form. This is the process of transformation.

Transmutation

“Transmutation:

  • Grapes must be crushed to make wine
  • Diamonds form under pressure
  • Olives are pressed to release oil
  • Seeds grow in darkness

Whenever you feel crushed, under pressure, pressed, or in darkness, you’re in a powerful place of transformation/transmutation.”

~Lalah Delia~

Intense pressure is very powerful. Whether physical, emotional, psychological or intuitive, we are transformed by the challenges we face. Beautiful gifts await discovery; however, they can often be hard to recognize or understand while the transmutation is happening.

Fear not. Your soul knows exactly what it is doing. Your awareness is being tempered by the forces of nature. Approach the Now with an open heart and experience whatever the present moment brings while having faith in your ability to rise above.

You shine with the brilliance of a thousand suns and rainbows are reflected in your tears. A brilliant masterpiece is in progress – your efforts will not be in vain. The cycle of initiation is actively in play and it’s powerful to remember that nothing is ever lost, it merely changes form.

Trust yourself. You know more than you realize and are ready to explore new facets of strength, empowerment and awareness. The expansion of Consciousness is in process.

The Divine Triangle – Part 1

The Divine Triangle is an interpretation of life through the view of numerology. The soul enters the body at birth and begins a 27 year journey through the Youth cycle. This phase creates the foundation of our mind and character until we reconnect with the fire of the soul at age 27. At the Saturn return (approximately between ages 27-29) we are transformed by the fires of awareness, usually through an intense event that pivots the life direction.

At age 27 we embark upon the Power phase of our journey. Here we typically discover new aspects of ourselves through the expansion of wealth, family, business — learning the lessons of the material plane through experience. This chapter of our lives is where we face and drop the conditioning of youth and learn about empowerment. At age 54 we come into direct contact with the soul once again and there is an echo of the Saturn return to bring us into greater awareness.

The Wisdom cycle begins at age 54. This period is more introspective and we begin to reassess our choices and examine our lessons more thoroughly. The energy of power and accumulation often wanes as we reflect upon ways to connect the spiritual and the mundane within our experience.

It is important to explore each cycle fully. While we tend to manage to the blueprint we designed prior to birth, free will is always in play. The soul seeks to evolve and awaken and this beautiful planet is our playground of choice.

Infinite Possibility

“It was perhaps one of your greatest acts of love. Choosing to be alive at a time when so many are so deeply in the dark.
And already things are looking brighter.
All bow.”
~ Mike Dooley, Notes from the Universe~
Adversity awakens you. Joy awakens you. It’s your choice. and your journey of awakening is unique. No matter how you decide to experience life, it provides myriad opportunities to grow. Imagine your soul expanding as it opens to receive new energy, insight, healing and balance.
Collectively, we are engaged in evolution. We learn from our interactions with one another and with our sacred mother earth. Your light transforms the darkness. When you choose to approach your life situations with a willingness to learn, anything is possible.
So, choose to become a lifetime student of love with the knowledge that untold gifts still await discovery. You are not only strong enough to face whatever unfolds in your experience, but also awakened enough to utilize the events you face in a way that is unique and empowered. You are here to awaken to the knowledge of your own true nature as a divine, infinite spirit of pure potential, and you are amazing.

Intuition

“There is a universal, intelligent life force that exists within everyone and everything. It resides within each one of us as a deep wisdom, an inner knowing. We can access this wonderful source of knowledge and wisdom through intuition, an inner sense that tells us what feels right and true for us at any given moment.”
~Shakti Gawain~

To cultivate your intuition, allow yourself to explore aspects of yourself that are less developed. If you are typically a person of action, practice waiting and listening. Spend time in nature or send your focus inward. If you are normally good at going with the flow while allowing the world to unfold, practice setting new things in motion. Don’t wait for your world to have an implosion before you practice new ways of being, you can grow without needing to manifest disruptive energy that forces you into new directions.

Intuition is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes and the easier it is to access. Pay attention to the rhythms of your soul and trust your inner wisdom. To live a passionate, awakened life, we must be willing to act upon the messages we receive. You are safe, loved and supported each and every step of the way.

Be The Light

“Wherever you stand, be the soul of that place.”

~ Rumi~

Each of us must demonstrate personal responsibility by observing the energy we bring into our life situations. Mastery calls upon us to take ownership of our state of consciousness in the present moment. We can then take right action knowing that we have a definitive impact on those around us.

Every circumstance offers an opportunity to discover the infinite facets of love. Periodically check in and ask if you’re bringing the best version of yourself to the present moment. It’s empowering to observe, see clearly and shift when required. These are some of the many gifts of expanding awareness. As you awaken, you’ll have access to greater perception. Don’t be surprised if you have a significantly different view of the world than others around you. Let your life be your message and bring gentleness to your journey.

Each of us plays a role in the collective awakening of humanity. Some heal through adversity, some through loving example and teaching while others let the light of the divine shine through them by bringing kindness and compassion into daily activity. Find your truth and live it to the best of your ability.

Inspiration

Sometimes it’s far too easy to chat with people about the challenges we face together – war, fire, drought, inflation, politics – forgetting that what we place our attention upon grows stronger as we feed energy into it. Observe, and it’s likely that you’ll notice perfect strangers commiserating about something today… the ego masquerading as “human connection”.
I propose that we utilize love, joy and enthusiasm in order to change the conversation. I have experimented with a few questions and had the most wonderful interactions with strangers as well as people I know well. What I discovered is that the energy between us shifted immediately. Souls opened up and we were able to bond through inspiration and love, shared positive experiences that have a deeper connection than shared frustration.
  • What is the best thing that has ever happened to you?
  • Who is your greatest inspiration or has had the greatest impact on your life?
I noticed that it was occasionally challenging for someone to pick just one “best thing” and could see them mentally going through the events of their lives only to say, “Wow, I’m not sure. There have been so many.” The answers weren’t as important as the energy created in the present moment. Try it, and let me know what you discover…

Go Within

“We all have the same root, and are connected… To tap into this connectedness we must go within.”

~Summerlyn Guthrie~

The greatest gift that you can give another is non-reactivity. It has been said that we must be the change we wish to see. Each of us is a microcosm of our collective energy; therefore, instead of projecting blame or frustration at the disharmony we observe, we instead seek to heal any hidden wounds that we carry.

With so many people awakening, the tiny ripples of transformation merge and multiply and thus, the world is transformed. By going within and placing our focus inward, we are actively addressing the one thing over which we have any control. As consciousness expands we become less reactive. When enough people step out of ego-driven drama, something new will emerge.

Some express higher energy through creativity, others through leadership or building, some join spiritual communities to experience a different type of group dynamic and many become frequency holders who anchor the new energy we are bringing to the planet. Whether you are drawn to be a creator, a builder, a reformer or a frequency holder, you are a living expression of the sacred and thus, play a significant (though often unseen) role in our collective awakening.

Enlightenment

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
~Rumi~
Enlightenment is ongoing. Layer by layer we release old energy and limiting patterns and step ever closer toward the fullness of who we are. This slow, transformative process is simultaneously both unique and universal. We must each walk our own path.
Trust the processes of your awakening. What you require for your transformation is what is unfolding in this moment. Resist nothing. Instead, turn toward the object of your frustration and embrace it with an open heart and you will be transformed.
As you awaken, you will naturally do things differently. Spiritual maturity arises through consistent practice and one day, you’ll observe that you respond to old triggers in a completely new way.
Your ability to see through the mechanisms of the ego creates opportunities to be less reactive and more mindful in your daily interactions.  This is what is meant by being in the world but not of it. Living at a different level of awareness, we cease to contribute to the dysfunction of our collective experience and can ultimately lead by example. Peace begins within.
