You Are Beautiful

“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
~Gandi~

Empty yourself of the things that block your light. Beyond the stories of the ego, beyond perceived mistakes and crystallized beliefs, lies the infinite, loving energy of the Divine.

Life is simply a series of opportunities to observe and release the heavy energies of limitation. Choose to observe yourself without judgment or expectation. Discard what you no longer need and embrace what brings you joy.

Awakening is a process. There are moments of breakthrough, new vision, empowerment and freedom, sometimes followed by resistance, apathy and the resurgence of old patterns. Don’t allow the ego to tell you that it’s all for naught – you are not broken or wrong. Instead, focus upon the light which shines from within, illuminating the garden of your soul, heart and spirit. You are a master in the process of awakening.

Allow joy to guide you and open your consciousness to the expansion of life. Be gentle with yourself as you grow and change. When you really love yourself, you set the stage where you can explore the vastness of peace, empowerment, growth and transformation. You are beautiful.

The Awakened Life

Like water eroding rock, the awakened life is one of gentle, consistent, conscious actions that leave a permanent impression. Attempting to force change, whether in yourself or others around you, is akin to a flash flood that temporarily wreaks havoc and leaves destruction in its wake. Living your truth; however, is a series of small actions that can transform even the most challenging of situations.
Everything plays a role in your awakening. Recognizing your judgments and understanding the fears out of which they arise allows you to consciously choose responses that bring peace to your life situation. Uncertainty is another path that ultimately opens the door to new ideas and insight. Anger points the way to repressed energy. Rather than wondering “why?” when things go wrong, seek understanding through direct experience rather than wandering aimlessly in an intellectual playground.
The key is to accept what is. Bring a greater awareness to how you choose to experience the present moment. When you take responsibility for your own state of consciousness, your actions will reflect empowerment and kindness.

Personal Responsibility

“We are responsible for our own ignorance or, with time and openhearted enlightenment, our own wisdom.”
~Isabel Wilkerson~

The only thing over which you have any control is how you choose to respond to life. It’s important to drop all judgment and blame (which is projecting thoughts and beliefs outward) and embrace personal responsibility for whatever is unfolding in your experience. No blame should be directed inward either. Simply observe, take ownership and consciously direct the course of your own life.
When we take full responsibility for our own experience, we put ourselves in a position of empowerment. Everything has a spiritual solution and serves a specific purpose in our soul’s growth.
A new level of consciousness is waiting to be discovered. Do not tolerate – love. Do not condemn – seek to understand. The most powerful aspect of embracing the concept of Oneness is to remember that we are all on the same journey, although at differing levels of consciousness, soul age and experience.
This dance of awareness allows you to be a conscious co-creator of your own journey. Begin by fully accepting the present moment as it is. Complete each task mindfully and completely and observe how life responds to you.

Your Story

“There is more than enough time,
to weave strands of the ordinary
into your own holy text.
You are more than you know
less lost than you feel
and whole in your center.”
~Molly Remer~

Your story is still being written. With each step, your experiences and wisdom create a unique tale of struggle and success, sorrow and laughter, and insights born of a life well-lived. Upon review you’ll discover the necessity of each plot twist and character in the richness of your journey.

Celebrate your ingenuity. It’s powerful to observe yourself and to witness how far you’ve come. Likely, the challenges you have faced have allowed your many facets to shine and have transformed simplistic ideas into the layered, complex understanding of a sage.

Live your unique truths to the best of your ability. With humility, continue to honor everything and everyone you encounter as a teacher. Your purpose is to awaken, and all of life supports you in this endeavor.

Live consciously. You can choose to fill your life experiences with meaning and joy while perfecting your role as an ever-evolving character who is cultivating self-awareness and empowerment.

Vision and Purpose

“Evaluate your level of self-mastery by turning your gaze inward and seeing the world, and your place in it, in a new light.”
~Wayne Dyer~
Your journey is unique. As your vision expands, you’ll discover the joys that can be created through balance and self-mastery as you seek to express your soul’s purpose. When energy is focused upon awakening, the need to blame others disappears. We learn to take full responsibility for our own experiences.
When intense emotions arise, slow down and observe the feelings without judgment. Allow the moment to be as it is and examine why you temporarily have chosen to give away your power through reactivity. As you turn as look toward the true object of your distress (typically your thoughts about a situation rather than the situation itself), it begins to transform. The light of your consciousness allows you to understand yourself – and that is the point of our sojourn here.
Make the conscious decision to see all paths as sacred. Give others the support and space they need to find their own way and choose to stay deeply connected to your own peacefulness. Each of us is a master in the midst of awakening. The only difference between us is where we are in that process. Tend to your own state of consciousness. Everything will come together exactly as it should.

Conscious Parenting

“Your most important job as a parent, or as a friend to a child, is to mentor children in a field of unconditional love and acceptance. Your gift is to see the rightness in them and reflect it back. You are the witness of the Divine in them.”
~Tara Bianca~

Conscious parenting calls upon us to see the very best in one another. Every soul who chooses to come to this planet seeks to become more aware, and each relationship we have provides an opportunity to set the stage for that awakening.

Lower levels of awareness teach that life is something to be conquered, controlled or won. When parents seek to shield their children from hardship or intervene immediately when challenges arise, they rob those in their care of the ability to cultivate personal empowerment. It’s healthy to allow those we love to experiment while providing support, safety and gentle reminders to seek out one’s own potential.

Likewise, children can teach the adults around them. It’s powerful to remember that they are mirrors. Laughter can allow a family to grow together in consciousness. Experiment, observe, love, and remember (in the words of Ram Dass) that we are simply walking one another home.

What Perception Reveals

“No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.”
~Ansel Adams~
As we awaken, our perceptions are transformed. Consciousness expands and our vision becomes all-encompassing as we benefit from our varied experiences. It doesn’t matter what you believe or where you derive your inspiration. All that matters is your level of consciousness.
Each of us sees the world through our own unique filter. The ego then attaches to a perception, labeling it as “right” and will fight to the death to defend it. When one does not do their own work – healing emotional wounds, addressing their shadow self, accepting responsibility for their life experience – they try to get others to change in order to feel more secure.
Over time, the awakening soul creates a sacred space of balance and empowerment. This inner peace cultivates the ability to accept others unconditionally and feels no fear when faced by those who see the world differently.
Your interpretation of life reveals who you are. For those caught in the lower levels of shame, fear, hatred, pride and judgment, life is a frightening place indeed. The realm of empowerment is expressed through courage, willingness, acceptance, love and joy. Your spirit seeks to explore these beautiful levels of awareness.

Infinite Potential

“You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination.”
~Roman Payne~
Ultimately, spiritual awakening is about living fully present. It is the gathering of experience, the awakening of wisdom and the expression of blissfulness. Share your joy. Drink the nectar of life and allow those in your realm of influence to share in the abundance.
Only within the stories of the mind do we feel trapped, believing that our beliefs and problems are immovable objects. Everything is energy – light, ever-changing and transformative – ready to bring freedom to the awakened spirit. All transformation begins with a thought. Thought begets movement, and movement opens new channels of energy that contain infinite potential.
When challenges seem too big to handle, begin the process of transformation by changing your thoughts. Make things more manageable by remembering that all boundaries and limitations are self-imposed. Bring the light touch of awareness to those subtle changes in consciousness, choose mindful action and observe how your life situation begins to move in new directions.
Your life is a dance of discovery. You stand at the threshold of infinite possibility, the space in which life unfolds, the realm of pure potential.

Breathe, Allow, Be

“The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it.”
~Thich Nhat Hanh~

Mindfulness will guide you through anything that arises. Our relationship to the world around us reflects our true relationship to ourselves; and through that, our connection to the Oneness of all life. When we allow the present moment to be as it is without expectation, we begin to experience the world in all it’s beauty.

Peacefulness is the present moment is needed to become aware of the beauty, the majesty and the sacredness of life. When we become engaged in the discovery of our true nature, the lessons present themselves everywhere we look. Our world is set up to provide constant reminders of the joy of life – so simple, a flower, a tree or a dog could do it.
Empowerment is simply taking full responsibility for your state of consciousness in the present moment. Breathe, allow, be.

As I watch the sun lighten the sky, I am greeted by love. As the birds awaken and sing in the stillness, I am serenaded by love. In the flow of my breath, I am connected to love.

Sacred Gifts

“You are on a soulful path that asks you to step into the greatest version of yourself. It is a sacred gift to shine your brightest light, not just in your moments of glory, but each day.”
~Debbie Ford~

Awaken the heart of compassion. Scatter seeds of joy throughout your day, pausing to appreciate the uniqueness of it, the beauty of it. Remind yourself often to be aware of the gifts that are all around you.

It is easy to get caught up in the drama of daily living. We live in a world filled with distraction but also one of inspiration. Each of us has an opportunity to choose how we wish to experience the present moment. When you begin the day with mindfulness and gratitude, you step out of reactivity and into empowerment.

You can create a mindful life by seeing the physical world as a spiritual experience, by experiencing this moment as sacred, by allowing kindness and compassion to guide your decisions.

Be open to change and willing to receive the unexpected. Give up the illusion of control and simply ask, “How can I bring the best version of myself to this situation?” Your awareness is a sacred gift that you can share with the world.
