Be The Change

“The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”
~Albert Einstein~

Transformation begins within and all that we experience is a reflection of our inner state of consciousness. Notice what triggers you, observe the reaction with kindness and non-judgment, and then go inward with loving, ruthless honesty.

We tend to react to attributes that we carry. The reaction is an indication that you are ready for change. That emotional moment is your point of power. Immediately notice what arises. The ego-generated story or interpretation is a distraction that you can choose to use as a spring-board of awakening.

Consciously bring aspects that you wish to see into your own expression of life. If you desire to feel safe, drop all judgment so that others feel safe with you. When tired of gossip, speak with kindness. Should you notice others acting out angrily or with impatience, slow down and be fully present. Your light is where transformation begins.

Make a commitment to yourself to honor your changes as sacred. Each layer of patterning that you remove reveals sparkling aspects of your soul that are ready to shine. Be playful and self-aware as you expand your experiences. You have the ability to create beautiful changes in your experience.

Empowerment and Personal Responsibility

“If you understand it, the world is a great device to make you conscious. Your enemy is your friend, and the curses are blessings, and the misfortunes can be turned into fortunes. It depends only on one thing: if you know the key of awareness.”
~Osho

Challenging situations are blessings in disguise – always. When faced with frustration or pain, go deeper into the present moment. Without asking the other person to understand you, seek to understand yourself.
It is helpful to utilize the energy of gratitude by saying “I am grateful for this situation. Even though I may not yet understand the lesson or be aware of gift, I know one awaits me.” The willingness to be grateful in the midst of challenge opens you to higher levels of consciousness.
As you release old layers of programming and dysfunction, your life will naturally become more peaceful. Rather than being reactive, your responses will be mindful and empowered. The key to awakening is simply taking full responsibility for your life as it is while transforming the mundane into the miraculous.

See Things Differently

“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.”
~Albert Einstein~
The awakened soul sees things differently. As we enter higher levels of consciousness, we are able to view the world from a broader vantage point. Every breakthrough is the beginning of a new vision and a new way of being.
Before you speak, ask yourself if what you intend to say is helpful, loving or uplifting. If not, it can wait…perhaps forever.
Be mindful of what you choose to share with others. Your words have great power. Gossip, anger, frustration or judgment will waste precious energy by feeding it into what you do not want in your experience. Conversely, mindful communication calls upon us to ask ourselves if what we are going to say or share will be of positive benefit. For instance, complaining or sharing bad news destroys the peace of others in the vicinity; while a complaint followed by a positive course of action acts as an inspiration to create a difference and indicates one is taking personal responsibility for their own joy. Even better, the awakened soul doesn’t waste energy discussing the problem, they speak of the solution and then take action.
In a world that seems preoccupied with gossip, opinion, causes and boycotts – seek to accentuate the beauty of life. Participate in things that inspire and lift your spirit. Be a bringer of light who walks in the world with humility, passion and joy.

Change

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
~Socrates~
Many people resist change; however, growth is one of the great blessings of life. As we transition from one phase to the next we expand our experience. If you have mastered some aspect of your life, consider starting something new. The old way of being will benefit as well.
Loss is a powerful realm of self-exploration. Losing someone you love and enjoy in your life can create a sense of despair; however, it’s important to remember that this physical experience is temporary and fleeting. The soul connection continues throughout myriad settings and incarnations. Those you have loved will often choose to act as spirit guides until you gather again to plan the next adventure.
Change creates space in which something new can emerge. As you age, instead of resisting, consider embracing the aging process. There are many lifetimes where we do not have the opportunity to enjoy the wisdom age can bring, the acceptance that comes from new limitations or the quietness of being. We enter a unique vibration of wisdom at age 54. Ages 54-81 are considered a time of introspection where we ponder death and the immortality of the soul as we build a bridge between the physical and the Oneness that connects us.

A World of Wonder

“The most beautiful thing that we can experience is the mysterious.”
~Albert Einstein~
Choose to live in a world filled with wonder. Life has tremendous meaning if you look at it as a game and don’t take it too seriously. Bring a childlike innocence and simple joy to all that unfolds in your experience and you will learn many, many things.
Everything and everyone is your teacher. There are never-ending lessons to explore and nuances to discover – each designed in love with the evolution of your consciousness in mind. The more awareness you bring to your journey, the more value you will get from the process.
The playful soul fears nothing. He or she can live authentically and simply accept what unfolds. After a lifetime of dreams, challenges, losses, disappointments, successes and transitions, choosing to be childlike and innocent while trusting the processes of awakening is a form of inner mastery. Only then can you become a living flame of awareness.
Set an intention to look past the illusions created by the mind – the seriousness, judgments and opinions – and allow the love, light and laughter of the Universe to express itself through you.

Simple Pleasures

“This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.”
~Dalai Lama~

Great beauty can be found in the simple, ordinary things of life. Even the most mundane of tasks take on a sacred quality when approached with awareness, intention and gratitude. It’s important to remember that you dictate how your life unfolds by the energy that you bring to the situations you encounter. When we act out of love, without expectation or attachment, wholly involved in the Now, we become one with life.

Be patient with yourself. Sometimes all that is required is a peaceful alertness as we learn to exist aligned and in tune with the energy of the planet. This is a time full of mystery… like the dawning of a new day, there is a quiet anticipation as the awakening happens all around us. In the silence, limitless possibilities await.

Be aware of your relationship to the world around you. Our interconnectedness is becoming more apparent with each passing moment. As spiritual seekers, we are consciously engaging the truth of Oneness through interactions, gratitude, reflection and exploration.
