Exploring the Depths of Emotion

“Experiencing our emotions fully, without wallowing in them or turning away, allows us to break through the layers of protective armor and connect with the heart. Fully felt, our emotions can clear the path to the deep well of compassionate love that is the essence of our being… and we are free to receive all the world.”
~ Ezra Bayda~
Just a little bit of insight and awareness can transform your entire life. You can only truly understand what you have experienced; therefore, it’s important to explore the depths of emotion. When emotional pain rises to the surface, it is an indicator that it is ready to be healed. These deeply buried wounds of the past are repeatedly reflected in our life experiences until they are cleared. In order to receive healing, we must choose to become vulnerable and open to the love of the Universe. Openness and acceptance create a space where we can dissolve the struggle and suffering once considered by the ego to be necessary and unavoidable… From this state of wholeness, we can help others to become whole as well.

Feel your way to freedom. Honor the emotions that arise with the knowledge that they are meant to help you break free from restrictive thoughts and beliefs. Untethered, the energies of infinite possibility feed the flames of your life purpose in a transformative and powerful way.

Inner Dimension

“If you can make everything you do a conscious process, you will live an absolutely Blessed Life.”
~Sadhguru~

The paradox of being an infinite being having a human experience creates a dance between wisdom and love. As we access our inner wisdom – releasing ego, competition, judgment and limitation – we discover the boundless possibilities that love and Oneness have to offer.

Both states exist simultaneously. Seek to access the inner dimension of love and purposely utilize it as the energetic undercurrent of your life. This will allow you to experience the present moment for itself rather than as a means to an end. Honor life, and therefore yourself, as sacred by experiencing the Now with intention, joy, acceptance and freedom. When you are balanced in this moment, life will fall into place.

The awakening soul learns how to access this sense of stillness and peace, even in the midst of chaotic situations. Yes, this takes practice but is well worth the exploration. Make a conscious choice not to allow another person or circumstance to dictate the level of your joy. Outside factors ebb and flow; however, inner grace is permanent, infinite and complete.

Acceptance

“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.”
~Lao Tzu~
The truly empowered see themselves clearly. They do not need outside validation nor do they seek perfection from others. As we awaken, we naturally cultivate the ability to accept things as they are and release the need to struggle. Since everything is a reflection of our inner state of consciousness and level of awareness, this implies a quiet inner acceptance of one’s self.
You have unique gifts and insights to share. Others will notice them in time, or not; however, the goal is to live simply in alignment with your purpose and passion. Don’t waste time attempting to force others to understand you or change their perceptions to match yours. Life needs the blend of differing perceptions, experiences, soul ages and cultures to facilitate spiritual growth.
Attend to your own state of consciousness and enjoy all this moment has to offer. Acceptance expands perception. The ego will imply that you are bound by the need to be accepted; however, you are absolutely free.

Enlightenment

“…the past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise of salvation, of fulfillment in whatever form. Both are illusions.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

The greatest gift that we can give is our Presence. In every situation we have the opportunity to bring light where there is darkness, give kindness rather than turn away and teach by example. In order to be consistent in our approach, one must never stop learning.

Turn your attention inward by asking, “How may I be of service in this situation?” As we examine our motivations we discover that helping others helps us to achieve enlightenment. This double helix of energy thus creates a space where transformation can happen.

View this planet as a playground that teaches through contrast. Every moment offers an opportunity to become a little more aware, a little more empowered, a little more free from limitation.

Some lessons are presented in several different forms before we truly understand the patterns that have silently controlled our lives. Your awareness of moments of unconsciousness is actually an indicator that you are becoming more enlightened. Celebrate your humanness as well as your true infinite nature. Delve into the delight of consciousness, for once you explore the mysteries of life with an awakened heart, you will never be the same.

The World Needs You

“The path to love requires open-hearted attention to the very things that seem to block our way to it.”
~Ezra Bayda~

All change begins within. When we consciously bring the light of awareness to the challenges of our lives, we begin to recognize the illusions from which they arise. Transformation occurs as we dissolve our self-imposed limitations and boundaries, strip away any preferences that have crystallized into demands and enter into the stillness of the Now.

The ego will tell you that you must work with the other in order for things to change. Talk, expectation, desire, compromise, blaming and justification simply tie you in deeper to the egoic mechanisms of the mind.

As a spiritual seeker, it’s important to realize that everything is your path of awakening. Don’t bury the lesson underneath your fear, simply keep bringing the light of awareness to it. This is the slow transformative path to freedom.

The world needs you to be your beautiful, unique self. You bring something imperative to our collective experience. Rather than limiting that unique expression by trying to keep everyone else happy, seeking inner happiness and balance will allow your joy to transform the world around you.

You Hold The Key

“I’ve worked all my life on the subject of awareness, whether it’s awareness of the body, awareness of the mind, awareness of your emotions, awareness of your relationships, or awareness of your environment. I think the key to transforming your life is to be aware of who you are.”
~Deepak Chopra~
You hold the key to your own transformation. All that you need is already within you, but without self-awareness, the way forward appears hidden. As you uncover new facets of your inner wisdom, you’ll change how you view and respond to life. With each spiral of energy, it’s possible to cultivate greater awareness of old beliefs and interpretations that have held you back and begin the process of releasing all that blocks your perception of freedom.
If you feel misunderstood, go within. If you feel rejected, go within. As you become more self-aware, you’ll notice that others’ opinions or actions have less and less impact on your sense of joy and well-being. From this space of awareness it’s possible to fully participate in life in a way that is healthy, empowered and purposeful.

Fear

“I will show you fear in a handful of dust.”
~T.S. Eliot~
Fear creates a fight or flight mechanism in the mind. The ego takes over, and creates a story that repeats until it is believed. At this point the personality has lived with the script for so long that it becomes a perceived reality that blocks any real joy from arising.
While it may seem that many today are lost in fear or angry reactivity, there is a balancing conscious awareness that is also coming into being. Many spiritual seekers who have cultivated the tools to rise above are bringing a new perception into focus by being living examples of peace, compassion and awareness.
Krishnamurti once said, “Do you want to know what my secret is? I don’t mind what happens.” This seemingly simplistic view of peace calls upon us to recognize that fear is a self-made condition. Our resistance, reactivity and righteous anger add energy into the illusion, keeping it alive. Choose to recognize everything and everyone in your life as a teacher. Imagine the freedom that comes from seeing all circumstances as an opportunity to love. And remember – love and fear cannot coexist in the same space.

Live in Your Magnificence

“I now choose to recognize the magnificence of my being.”
~Louise Hay~

Spiritual awakening is not like flicking on a light switch. It is a consistent process of candid self-observation, the ability to address each challenge and trigger as it arises while practicing new ways to bring the best version of yourself to each situation you encounter.

Over time we explore uncharted facets of ourselves and cultivate qualities that bring peace into our lives. One by one, we drop the limiting patterns and beliefs that cause frustration. Give yourself credit for how far you have come. When you miss the mark, forgive yourself for being human. Awakening is not about expectations of perfection or “Buddah-hood.” It is the slow, transformative process of freedom.

We teach by living our truth. Conscious actions leave a lasting imprint. Each step of the way we have an opportunity to walk our talk and speak our truth with integrity and the results can be incredibly transformative. As the soul awakens, we learn to recognize the magnificence of being. Consciousness expands by honoring the space in which life is experienced. Just be. Be the loving observer. Be the one whose only desire is to be kind. Scatter seeds of joy throughout every interaction and see what you can learn.

Inspiration

“The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique.”
~Walt Disney~
Your light encourages others to discover their own. Your unique vision comes from many, many lifetimes of experience and it’s understandable that you may often feel misunderstood. Part of the old soul experience is not fitting in with mainstream thought. When you embrace your way of being in the world, something beautiful begins to unfold.
Consider those who have inspired you. The fact that they stand out in your mind is indicative of their uniqueness. Rather than trying to emulate them, let their inspiration take you to new places. These untraveled roads will bring out the very best in you.
Contrasts accentuate the beauty of uncommon things. Space allows the freedom to grow and change. Joy creates the field of energy in which a transformation can occur.

Living the Mystery

“Remember, mystery isn’t something that you cannot understand—it is something that you can endlessly understand! There is no point at which you can say, “I’ve got it.” Always and forever, mystery gets you!”
~Richard Rohr~

When you view life as a mystery, new doors will open. Those who are trapped in thought become lost in the mire of projection, seeing only what they are programmed to see. The only thing that transforms this prison is silent awareness. Pay attention to your thoughts and you’ll notice that they are all ideas that have been passed down from others.

The mind is not reality; it is a limited interpretation of experience. Once you lock into an idea or a belief, you block all other possibility. Seeing life as a mystery implies that it cannot be solved or completely understood. We need to learn to become open, receptive and clear. Thoughts come and go, but the stillness of your eternal being always remains.
Cultivating an awareness of your ability to create joy brings a sense of freedom into your experience. Be present for whatever arises in the Now and live without pretense. You have nothing to prove and everything to discover.
