  • Attachment

    \"\"

At the sacred center of yourself is freedom from the bondage of the mind, from limitation, and from fear. Cultivating the art of non-attachment frees you to live a life of purpose in harmony with all those around you… and because your heart is open, more will be drawn to you.

The Tao teaches that when we shift our energy from acquiring to being a conduit for the Divine (allowing light and energy to flow freely), we realize that there is more than enough.

This same approach can be applied to anything or anyone in your life. The tighter you cling, the more the ego causes you to operate from fear, and the more lack you create in your experience. Conversely, allowing creates a space for fulfillment. Start small. Give away something that matters to you. Share the joy that this object has brought you.  Then observe how you feel. Is there a lightness? A sense of freedom? A lingering regret? Pay attention to your degree of attachment.

Next, focus on a specific belief. Purposely lose your rigidness. Observe when you want to speak up to give an opinion and consciously choose to remain silent. Again, the degree of discomfort shows your attachment to an idea or to being seen as right.

Non-attachment creates a flow of ease and grace in your experience. Call upon the silent knowing of your soul and offer loving compassion in every corner of your life.

“Must I fear what others fear?
    Should I fear desolation
    when there is abundance?
    Should I fear darkness
when that light is shining everywhere?”
    ~Lao Tzu~

(from the Tao te Ching, 20th verse)

Higher consciousness calls upon us to be deeply rooted in the Now. Presence brings a new type of freedom into your life experience. When you find yourself striving for more or trying to please others at the expense of your own joy, choose instead to relax into the power of the present moment. Set down your burdens. Notice any “what ifs?” that arise – see how they steal your peace?

Be present, move into complete acceptance and see yourself as whole and complete. This empowered choice aligns you with the flow of life. We live in a vibrant, thriving energy field. Our thoughts and beliefs send waves of energy throughout the Universe and they always return in unexpected and beautiful ways.

Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is. Know that everything unfolds in the way that is most appropriate for your souls evolution. You are a child of light, a master in the process of awakening. Imagine having a worry-free existence. That is the gift that awaits you.

  • Embody Grace

“Life is a gift, and I try to respond with grace and courtesy.\”
    ~Maya Angelou~

Creating harmony in your life experience is imperative. It softens the voice of ego and allows you to engage with others in a way that is healthy, supportive and patient. Honor those who grace your life by nurturing them. Release attachment and hold space as they explore and learn and grow.

This dance of awakening is ever-evolving. As we enter new playgrounds of experience we support one another and joyfully discover unexplored aspects of ourselves in the process.

Mastery calls upon us to be conscious of our state of consciousness in the present moment. Your peacefulness creates peaceful experiences. Your love creates loving experiences. Embody grace and acceptance and your life will be easier.

When you approach your life experience with humility, humor, non-attachment and compassion, greater access to your inner wisdom is assured. From this place of empowerment it becomes easier to recognize the limitless possibilities that are available. Allow the gentle whispers of love and wisdom to guide your way.

  • Breathe, Allow, Be

    \"\"
“The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it.”
    ~Thich Nhat Hanh~

Mindfulness will guide you through anything that arises. Our relationship to the world around us reflects our true relationship to ourselves; and through that, our connection to the Oneness of all life. When we allow the present moment to be as it is without expectation, we begin to experience the world in all it\’s beauty.

Peacefulness is the present moment is needed to become aware of the beauty, the majesty and the sacredness of life. When we become engaged in the discovery of our true nature, the lessons present themselves everywhere we look. Our world is set up to provide constant reminders of the joy of life – so simple, a flower, a tree or a dog could do it.
Empowerment is simply taking full responsibility for your state of consciousness in the present moment. Breathe, allow, be.

As I watch the sun lighten the sky, I am greeted by love. As the birds awaken and sing in the stillness, I am serenaded by love. In the flow of my breath, I am connected to love.

  • Allowing Happiness

    \"\"
“How simple it is to see that we can only be happy now, and there will never be a time that is not now.”
    ~Gerald Jampolsky~

Allowing is the secret to happiness. Once we begin to let go, space is created in our lives, and in that space we discover beauty that was there all along. All too often the mind engages in an inner warfare of holding on to old resentments or patterns that result in unhappiness. While we’re distracted by this inner dialog, life continues on.

Each of us has the capacity to set ourselves free from the burdens that we carry. Create enough openings in your experience to participate in the mysteries of the Divine. Don’t postpone your happiness – life is here Now.

Love this moment and participate in it fully. When it’s time to work, be fully present and engaged. When it’s time to relax, leave work behind and allow yourself the time to recharge. If the moment calls upon you to lie in the sun, enjoy every aspect of it.

As you develop your own inner richness and maturity, you\’ll become less attached to the romanticized ideas of youth. Cultivating a connection to the Divine brings joy into the present moment. Sometimes the sight of a beautiful sunset will lift us out of thought and into Presence where joy resides.
