Awakening

“What happens when we slow down and pay attention? Everything! Innumerable delights are right at hand.”
~Ezra Bayda
~

The awakened spirit sees things differently. A new perspective opens the doors of perception and once seen, cannot be lost. Remember this when you spend time with others who are trapped by limited points of view – we must sometimes be willing to take them by the hand and simply show them a different way to be.
In the face of opposition, bring a quiet humility. Demonstrate love to those who seek to blame. Seek to bring a sense of stillness to your interactions. Make the choice to see through the mechanisms of the ego so that you can create a space in which a transformation can occur.
You are supported and protected on your journey – always. When we welcome the changes and challenges that life has to offer, we approach our experiences with ease and grace.
Everything and everyone plays a role in your soul’s growth; therefore, all should be valued as sacred aspects of the Divine. Those who challenge you the most on the physical plane, love you the most on the spiritual plane. They prompt you to explore aspects of yourself you would not seek out on your own.

The Path of Acceptance

“Spiritual work is possible in one place alone: here, in exactly what you are experiencing right now.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Suffering is the result of insisting that life be something other than what it is. In every moment you have a choice – accept or reject. Acceptance creates a flow of energy that empowers, strengthens, clarifies and inspires while resistance brings anger, judgement and stress. Resistance is the ego’s way of attempting to exert control and actually strengths whatever we resist. When you are able to truly move into acceptance, you create a space in which a transformation can occur.

Everything in your experience is an active aspect of your spiritual growth. You can transform this moment, no matter what it offers, into a sacred space of learning. Observe your patterns and reactions. This is the path of transformation.

Bring a joyful thirst for wisdom and spiritual connection to the Now. Messages are all around and more easily seen when we approach the present moment with a sense of adventure and playfulness.

The Journey

“Once you have put your plan into action, remember that changes will be necessary and openly welcome them. Your original plan represented a snapshot of your life and skill-set at that moment. An engaged person will recognize that “rerouting” will happen and accept new ideas to improve their journey.”
~Tony Carlton~

Courage is not about fearlessness. It is the willingness to move forward in spite of any fear that may arise.

Each journey is unique and will undoubtedly lead us into uncharted territory from time to time. This is the souls way of moving into a state of higher awareness. When we grow too familiar with our routines or become stagnant in our growth, life will present an opportunity to shake things up in order to break us free of the status quo.

Should fear arise, simply notice it without judgment. Any internal resistance indicates that something potentially life-changing is unfolding. Whatever choice you make, let it come from the level of love rather than one motivated by fear or lack.

Approach these moments of transition with the knowledge that you are loved, guided, protected and supported. Even if you cannot see the outcome, choose to take one conscious step forward and enter a new realm of experience. Something beautiful awaits discovery.

Attentiveness

“We’re fascinated by the words–but where we meet is in the silence behind them.”
~Ram Dass~

One of the most loving gifts that we can give those who grace our lives is attentiveness. All too often people race from one moment to the next, always a step ahead, lost in their own mind and distracted during their encounters. We forget that every interaction has the capability to transform our journey in unimagined ways.

Many people feel unheard and misunderstood. Therapists often fulfill a role that is missing in their lives… others find strangers, hair dressers, or weary travelers and quickly drop into their stories without hesitation. For those who only wish to stay caught in their story and desire to feed it with repetition, I find that conscious attentiveness (along with compassionate detachment and healthy boundaries) actually repels them. The ego wants to be agreed with, supported and strengthened; however, conscious attention and holding a space of love doesn’t meet the egos needs.

If you want to be heard, slow down and listen. If you desire acceptance, practice honoring every path as sacred, no matter how it appears on the physical plane. Should you feel misunderstood, make sure that you have an authentic understanding of yourself. The strength of your intention is powerful.

Consciousness

“There is only one perpetrator of evil on the planet: human unconsciousness. That realization is true forgiveness. With forgiveness, your victim identity dissolves, and your true power emerges–the power of Presence. Instead of blaming the darkness, you bring in the light.”
~Eckhart Tolle~

If used consciously, this can be a time of inspiration and growth. Everything depends upon how we view ourselves, how we conduct ourselves in the world, and our willingness to stand in our integrity. There may be times to step back, observe and take a few moments to breathe prior to taking action – these pauses allow us to bring a higher level of consciousness to our interactions.

Treat each person you meet as sacred. Offer them dignity and choose to remain mindful and balanced throughout your interaction. Yes, this calls upon you to bring the best version of yourself to your relationships. Most people, expecting dysfunction or judgment, will have to learn to adjust to your loving way of being. After moments of confusion, they will begin to feel the safe atmosphere which promotes growth and awareness.

Above all, cultivate your own sense of self-worth and continue to expand your consciousness in ways that bring a sense of joy and purpose to your life.

Inner Awareness

“All that is necessary to awaken to yourself as the radiant emptiness of spirit is to stop seeking something more or better or different, and to turn your attention inward to the awake silence that you are.”
~Adyashanti~

Your inner voice speaks through the wordless language of the heart. Stillness allows us to access the clarity which comes from transcending the dualities and paradoxes of life. You can recognize authentic wisdom by how it makes you feel. Truth brings peace, even when the information is not exactly what you wished to hear.

Expanding consciousness is beyond mind and body. It is the eternal light of love expressing itself through you – here and now. You are the living flame of awareness.

When you create a space of balance, purpose and empowerment, your actions (or mindful inaction) will have greater impact. Awareness allows a transformation to occur. Make a peaceful mind the primary source of your experience. Nothing is more important than your state of consciousness in the present moment. Seek a consistent and mindful connection with the Divine prior to stepping into the world. In whatever way speaks to your soul, find the flow of grace and immerse yourself within it.

Creating Change

“All great changes are preceded by chaos.”
~Deepak Chopra~
Believe in something beautiful… No matter what you wish to create in your experience, it begins with a shift in your awareness. See what is possible rather than placing your focus on what is not working. Honor the process of transformation itself and embrace the small movements of energy that are a natural result of changing your thoughts.
When change becomes a celebration, it awakens infinite possibility. There are no limits to what you can create. We must be open to new ideas and perceptions in order to accept new energy. Those who remain stuck in beliefs such as “that’s the way I’ve always been” or “things will never change” live in self-made prisons.
Choose to bring conscious awareness to your activities today. Allow the new to enter you by changing your perception. When you think differently, when you see differently, something new emerges in your experience and you will be transformed.

Letting Go

“Let go of the battle. Breathe quietly and let it be. Let your body relax and your heart soften. Open to whatever you experience without fighting.”
~Jack Kornfield~

There is a subtle beauty to be discovered in the art of releasing those things which no longer serve you. Whether old ideas, tangible items, beliefs, patterns, friendships or an outdated self-image, letting go creates a space in which something new can be experienced – even if that something new is simply spaciousness itself.

In surrender, we discover empowerment and faith. When you can trust the processes of life enough to step out of the egoic role of perceived director, you may discover the ease and grace which with you can flow with life. The stronger the person, the easier it is to surrender. Trust yourself, be confident and let go of all that limitation and doubt. Only then will you taste the thrill of discovery and dance with delight in the face of the unknown.

You belong to all of existence and the Divine wishes simply to experience life through you – through your perception, your enjoyment, from the dawn of your awakening to the discovery of your destiny. Be capable of receiving love in whatever forms it may appear knowing that untold gifts await.

Empowerment

“Come out of the masses. Stand alone like a Lion and live your life according to your own Light.”
~Osho~

Ego generated accomplishment calls upon us to focus our strength and abilities, create a plan and work hard to achieve our goals. As we grow in soul awareness, we discover that true power needs no force in order to manifest transformation. Conversely, we find that purposely stepping into the flow of universal energy creates ease and grace in our experience.

Some get lost in passivity and never recognize their role as a conscious creator. Seek to find a balance in your life that creates passion, conscious action and acceptance and allow it to be expressed throughout every aspect of your experience.

Your unique skills, talents, passions and inspiration are meant to be explored. When you reach a point of not knowing how to define yourself, when no title seems to apply, you’re on the right track. Release the habitual need to limit your experience by adhering to a particular role. You are eternal. You are love. Let your life be filled with infinite possibility. Invite miracles, coincidences and magic into your experience for this is your sacred journey of awakening.

Love is the Bridge

“Instead of asking “What do I want from life? ” A more powerful question is, “What does life want from me?”
~Eckhart Tolle~

Your experience of the world is a reflection of your state of consciousness and the relationship you have with yourself; therefore, seek first to create inner harmony. The resulting peace and balance will allow you to bring the best version of yourself to your life situations.

Every experience provides an opportunity to demonstrate love. You may be called upon to be a compassionate listener, to try something new, to let go and allow, or hold space in a challenging situation. When you authentically live with an open heart, you will always take right action.

See if you can move into the vibration of love at least once within each circumstance you encounter today. This can be as varied as the general love you have for the earth and all her creatures to the passion you have for something or someone in your life. Allow a higher love to guide your thoughts, words and actions and observe what unfolds in your experience.
