The Sacredness of Laughter

“There are many ways to the Divine. I have chosen the ways of song, dance, and laughter.”
~Rumi~

Your presence is transformative. When life seems challenging and the weight of expectation feels a little hard to bear, it’s important to remember that you do not need to seek the light. You are the light.

Humans tend to get lost in illusion and forget their sacredness, innocence and inner beauty. One way to spark healthy self-awareness is through laughter. When you can share a moment of connection, laughing until tears come to your eyes, everything else fades away and you are fully present once again. Laughter is the souls way of reminding you of the joy that always lingers just beneath the surface.

Share kindness. Share compassion. But most importantly, remember to let your inner clown out to dance once in a while. Trust the love that flows through the universe. Your willingness to laugh opens you to receive the blessings that life has to offer.

Dreams

Wholeness is coming home to yourself. Spirituality is meant to bring magic back into your life. There are many paths to awakening – choose the one that brings you the greatest joy, and then support others in their joy. When life becomes a drudgery, judgment arises. Self-criticism and frustration block us from recognizing the beauty that surrounds us. It’s important to keep playfulness in your outlook and experience. Laughter enriches the soul and is a powerful expression of the Divine.
Find awakening in your life by knowing that you are right where you need to be. Acceptance draws in the circumstances, experiences and synchronicities that are in alignment with your joyful, expectant, optimistic attitude.
At any given moment, infinite patterns are developing. You are constantly sending energy out into the Universe, and you are living proof of the miraculous at work. This “behind the scenes” movement of energy often takes some time to be revealed, recognized and appreciated. Walk forward with the knowledge that life itself is constantly working on your behalf.
You are a vibrant participant in the dance of existence and there is far more to life than meets the eye. Living with an open heart creates space in which a transformation can occur.

Nurturing the Soul

“A sacred wandering awakens you. It connects you to your authentic self. It can empower you to find your voice. To enlarge your vision. To nurture your soul. To create healthy boundaries. To bravely try something new.”
~Dana Arcuri~

Remember to create space throughout each day to nurture your soul. Little moments of peace, solitude or laughter can transform your experience from reactivity to empowerment. Through trial and error we discover what enriches us. Only we can choose to make self-nurturing a priority. Don’t expect others to instinctively know what your soul needs in order to shine, but do embody it consistently so others can witness the best aspects of who you are.

Sometimes people will come in who mindlessly overstep boundaries. Unconsciousness creates psychic vampirism that may drag down your energy, leaving you tired and head-achy. View these souls as teachers who create situations that allow you to become clear about your needs while providing an opportunity to be concise and consistent with your words and actions.

Utilizing clearly defined, loving boundaries, you can create a unique way of being in the world. Then, the energy and time you share will be pure and have a lasting impact on those around you.

Life is a Celebration

“Old age is your own creation: it can be a misery, it can be a celebration; it can be simply a despair, and it can also be a dance. It all depends how deeply ready you are to accept existence, whatsoever it brings.”
~Osho~

There is no need to wait for a reason to be joyful. Honor this moment through laughter and playfulness and bring a gentle awareness to the perfection of your life. The ego-mind creates a heaviness that distracts us from enjoying the present moment. It may tell you that things are not good enough, that you are not yet good enough or that there’s too much to be done… there’s no time to be silly or frivolous. Consider that the ego’s job is to teach through the contrast; therefore, choosing to purposely explore the opposite of it’s serious inclination is a good use of your energy.

Those who know how to celebrate life also know the joys of working hard, and loving deeply. They bring an empowered, meditative quality to the present moment rather than being lost in thought. See if you can recognize the sacredness in the ordinary. All that you need is already within you and all of existence responds to the wonder of your light.

Higher Love

“Once the soul awakens, the search begins and you can never go back. From then on, you are inflamed with a special longing that will never again let you linger in the lowlands of complacency and partial fulfillment. The eternal makes you urgent. You are loath to let compromise or the threat of danger hold you back from striving toward the summit of fulfillment.”
~John O’Donohue~
Imagine a flame flickering in the darkness. The light that it casts creates shadows, warmth and mystery that draws others to share a moment of connection. You are this light. As you awaken to higher consciousness, your expression of love and kindness is transformed. Rather than seeking love, become love.
Life is a playground of exploration. To honor all that you see as sacred is to be immersed in love. The energy that you choose to focus upon becomes stronger in your experience. With that in mind, seek to feed the flames of higher love. Conscious awakening is a gift that you can share with the world.
I see life as a living conversation with the Divine. Moments of gratitude remind us to seek joy in the little things, and within that joy is a doorway to a realm where anything is possible.

Laughter

“Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.”
~Victor Borge~

Bring an open-hearted expansiveness to your experience. Try new things, allow yourself to fail once in a while. See the world as a place of adventure and discovery, for that is truly what it is. Lao Tzu called it the world of ten-thousand things – each offering a unique opportunity for you to explore the vastness of being.

Many live sidetracked by the mind-traps created by ego-driven thought. These illusions take the worst fears from the subconscious and project them onto one’s experience of reality. And even though they are illusion, they can be deadly because they block one’s ability to discover joy and freedom.

Consciousness supports your growth. Life supports your awakening. Every experience provides an opportunity for enrichment. Become the loving witness of life itself. Live totally and intensely, so that each moment is filled with the sacred gifts of love and laughter. Find joy in the small things and rediscover the magic that once inspired you.

We must learn to participate in the dance of existence. Reaction is based upon the past. Response is based upon the present. This moment is filled with limitless possibility.

Life is the Journey

“The healthiest response to life is laughter from the heart, and even in the face of global turmoil, we can cultivate an internal sense of optimism.”
~From Why is God laughing? by Deepak Chopra~

It is said that love is the destination and life is the journey… You have a unique way of being in the world. Honor it simply by being yourself. Your style, perception, grace and laughter spark a new energy in our awakening consciousness. Everything in your experience is filled with infinite potential – what will you choose to create?
Remember that what you see in the physical world is often the exact opposite of what is occurring in the spiritual world. Opportunities are often disguised as loss. Look deeper. If you ego clamors for reactive patterns or worry, strive to do the opposite. This will allow you to transform the challenges you encounter into  strength.
Gratitude will always create a flow of positive energy in your experience. It takes us from victim-hood consciousness to empowerment. You are right where you need to be. You are safe, supported, loved and guided each and every step of the way. It’s time to reclaim your freedom – the freedom to thrive.
