Creating the Momentum of Change

“When stuck in apathy, procrastination, or the morass of depression, choose one small task and complete it mindfully. Momentum will follow.”
~Ezra Bayda~

Sometimes the changes we seek to create in the world (and within ourselves) seem daunting or overwhelming. Discomfort arises when we begin to realize that something needs to shift and, of course, the ego-mind immediately jumps in with momentum to stop dialogue; however, you have the ability to create powerful changes in your experience.

Bring your focus to the end result and celebrate the fact that if you can visualize it with passion, you can draw in what you wish. Rather than fighting what you perceive as “wrong”, purposefully feed your energy into what inspires you as you create positive changes.

Most people do not realize how powerful they are. Making even one small positive change can shift the momentum of your life. Set an intention and speak it out loud in the present tense as you set the tone for the day. Then support your intention by ensuring that your thoughts, words and actions are all in alignment. And finally, be willing to receive with the knowledge that you are a powerful co-creator of your experience.

Create Your Own Reality

“The time has come to turn your heart into a temple of fire.

Your essence is gold hidden in dust.

To reveal its splendor you need to burn in the fire of love.”

~Rumi~

Your thoughts create your reality; therefore, purposely focus upon the aspects of your experience that bring you joy. Each moment holds limitless possibilities, yet the human tendency is to amplify perceived problems rather than embrace the beauty of the present moment.

Give yourself time to slow down and breathe. You can choose to fall in love with the day and become a loving witness – no mental noise, just Presence. From this space of awareness right action (or inaction) will make itself known.

When you bring the best version of yourself to the Now, the future takes care of itself. Allow enough room in your experience for the Universe to surprise you. Your passion and sense of purpose will most certainly unlock a way forward in the perfect way at the perfect time. Rather than seeking, just be.

When in a state of balance, peace and empowerment, it’s easier to recognize the myriad opportunities that are available. Find the sacredness of the Now and fall in love.

Perfection

“You don’t need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfection.”
~Wilson Kanadi~
In the midst of chaos and confusion, all is well. When things fall apart, there is an opportunity to let go of expectation and desire and simply do our best in the present moment. Teach yourself the joy of being at ease during unexpected circumstances. See the perfection in the imperfection.

When people strive for perfection, they seek to exert mental and physical control in a world that is messy and unpredictable. Rather than demanding a specific outcome, practice doing your best and working with the resulting energy. Then, imperfection becomes your teacher. The result? Humor, peace, laughter, joy….

You are a powerful co-creator in your life experience. There is nothing more beautiful than someone who is consistently authentic and untroubled. Life is what it is. Are you choosing to enjoy it?

A Rose By Any Other Name

“Witches call it spells. Christians call it prayer. Spiritualists call it manifestation. Atheists call it the placebo effect. Scientists call it quantum physics. Everyone’s arguing over its name. No is denying its existence.”

~Kim Dunn~

All over the world various cultures have interpreted the same energy in myriad ways. This aspect of discovery and playfulness centered around how to define the infinite; however, over time our collective ego got ever more attached to being right and thus these interpretations often came to divide us.

It’s empowering to honor every pathway as sacred. All have value at differing levels of consciousness and often overlap. Paradoxical as it may seem, we can nurture the seeds of Oneness through understanding how others experience the world.

Old souls tend to study various belief systems and adopt whatever pieces spark awareness and joy. This combination of ideas creates a unique approach for each soul and we eventually drop all labels and the need to be validated or seen as right. It really doesn’t matter what you believe. All that matters is your level of consciousness and the energy you bring into your experience. Approach the journey with humility, mindfulness and compassion. There is always something new to discover.

What We Create

“Each of us is an artist of our days; the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will become.”
~John O’Donohue~

You are an artist who is constantly in the process of co-creation, weaving a unique tapestry of exquisite design. Each thought, word and action creates layers of energy that flow from you out into the world of form. Observe what you say. Do your words reflect what you wish to create? Do they support your joy and willingness to receive?

It’s a wonderful practice to set a deliberate intention, focus upon it during your morning rituals and then watch with joy as it manifests in various ways throughout your daily experience. For instance, if your intention is to be a loving reflection of the sacredness in everyone you meet, your interactions will be far different than if your mind was only focused upon the tasks that needed to be accomplished. Instead of a regular day with it’s normal ups and downs, you might experience brief but unique expressions of beauty from each person with whom you interact.

These conscious choices bring a higher level of light into our physical experience. Choose intentions that allow you to explore being the very best version of yourself. The spiritual seekers goal is to merge the sacred with the mundane.

Creating Space for Change

The physical world, as we experience it, originates from our thoughts, beliefs and expectations. You are not trapped by the world of form, it responds to you – providing a canvas upon which you can paint your dreams.

Begin by understanding how powerful you are Life is not meant to be a struggle, but in our quest, we’ve forgotten the effect we have on the world around us. Our thoughts determine how we process our experiences; therefore, observe the timbre of your thoughts and ensure that they support the changes you wish to manifest.

Rather than repeating the same old patterns and experiences, be willing to break free from your comfort zone. Trying something different provides new levels of experience. It shifts the energy – perhaps slightly, perhaps a cascade of life changes – and allows you the opportunity to expand into uncharted realms.

All change begins with a vision. Keeping the end result in mind, taking conscious action in the present moment and celebrating the new as it appears is all that is required. Leave enough room for a miracle. Micromanaging from our limited human perspective is way too exhaustive, and it’s much more exciting to watch the Universe in motion.

The Magic We Create

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
~Roald Dahl~

A magical life is one that sparkles with light, love and laughter. Our choices set energy in motion and we have the ability to consciously direct it in myriad ways. The higher your vibration, the more expanded your perception; therefore, it stands to reason that as you evolve, it becomes easier to recognize the impact your state of consciousness has on the present moment.

When faced with a challenge or disappointment, observe any inner scripts that begin to run. If you notice a pattern or reaction that feels limiting, ask yourself if that problem is more important than your joy. Utilizing this koan will help you remember that you are a powerful co-creator in your life experience.

Gossamer threads of light weave webs of playfulness throughout the journey. As energy emanates from you, it travels along that grid of energy impacting every other being on the planet. See what you can create, how you can demonstrate love and what you can contribute. We are blessed by your Presence.

Creating Joy

“The root of joy is gratefulness…It is not joy that makes us grateful; it is gratitude that makes us joyful.”
~Brother David Steindl-Rast~
Joy is an expression of empowerment. It is a choice that we make again and again that creates an unshakable foundation. Obviously, those who reside in joy still face challenges and encounter hardship, but joy always comes along for the journey.
It is absolutely possible to feel empathy and desire change, yet still be able to consistently create moments of gratitude, joy and celebration. When you honor your path as sacred, beauty emanates from you.
Don’t wait for life to fall into place before you choose to be joyful. Know that your life will fall into place because you are joyful. You are a powerful co-creator within your own experience.
Take time to enjoy the flowers in bloom and watch how they open to the sun. Appreciate the clouds as they form living art on gentle breezes. Dance to birdsong, kiss your dog and slow down the fast pace of your mind. These things and more await your loving attention and the universe supports your endeavor.

Infinite Possibility

“Your life is a beautiful blank canvas. You have the choice of splashing it with the most gorgeous and spectacular colors, by doing what you love.”
~Hiral Nagda~

You are a powerful co-creator of your life’s experience. In a world filled with infinite possibility, the human condition is often one of repetition. Our purpose here is to awaken and that can only be accomplished by breaking free from patterns and dancing in the realm of the unknown.

In the midst of your daily routine, consciously and purposely sprinkle in some changes. Take a different route than you’re used to taking. Be creative with your appearance and the expression of Self you present. See if you can simply enter the flow of life without preconceived ideas or attachment and experience whatever arises with an open heart.
These little differences set expansive energy in motion. The resulting threads will begin to weave into your life’s tapestry in a way that is distinctive and unique. The willingness to try new things trains the mind to be more comfortable with the unknown.
The ego fears change, so be ready for some inner resistance. Observe it, smile and do things differently anyway.

Attention and Energy

The thoughts we choose to think are the tools we use to paint the canvas of our lives.
~Louise Hay~
Whatever you place your attention on grows stronger in your experience. Keep this in mind when you speak and consciously choose to utilize your energy well. When you wish to create change, appreciate the perceived problem for igniting the spark of transformation and move consciously toward a solution. Once you’ve decided to take action, focus on the end result and let the universe handle the details.
The ego loves to sabotage the energetic flow by interjecting thoughts of “how?” or “when?” to distract you from empowered movement forward. Learn to trust the messages of the Universe. Seek a constant conversation with the Divine and experiment various ways to communicate. Some spiritual seekers enjoy utilizing numbers, others connect with the messages to be found through animals or trees, some play in the angelic realm or become more sensitive to energy and vibration. This is your journey and there are infinite ways to participate in your own growth.
Many walk through life without realizing their potential. Let your grace be so inspiring that it awakens grace in another.
