Two little dragonflies have been visiting my backyard lately. They come to drink from the pond, rest among the branches, and linger as though they have made a small agreement with the garden. I have begun to look for them now, these bright-winged beings who seem to belong equally to water, air, and sunlight.
There is something deeply soothing about their presence. They don’t demand attention, yet they draw it effortlessly. One moment the day is ordinary, and the next there is a flash of orange against the blue sky, a shimmer of wings, a tiny pause in the movement of the world.
Dragonflies have always felt like messengers to me. They live close to the surface between realms, born of water and lifted into air, reminding us that transformation can be graceful. They simply embody the magic of connection.
Perhaps that is why their visits feel like a blessing. They bring the pond to life in a new way, turning an ordinary area of the yard into a place of meeting between water, wing, sunlight, and sky.
✨Blessing✨
May we be available to the small messengers of beauty.
May we remember that transformation can be light.
And may we pause long enough to receive the quiet teachings of the living world.
