Before our cycle of lifetimes is complete, we will taste every shade of human experience. Few classrooms are as potent as the body. Learning to accept ourselves exactly as we are can take a lifetime, yet higher consciousness teaches us to work lovingly with whatever arrives. Illness can become a doorway to awakening. Body struggles can press us into compassion. Comparison fades when we remember each path is uniquely designed
Prior to awakening, physical challenges may look like punishment. The mind cries, “No, this is wrong,” and some traditions add blame: disability as “bad karma,” sickness as divine retribution. These stories create separation and make anyone less than perfect feel exiled from love.
I hold a different view. Between lives, we meet with our soul circle and sketch the next adventure. From that vantage, physical challenges are often chosen as gateways to growth for all involved. A soul who once served as a healer may later choose accident, weakness, or mental imbalance so others can learn to heal in return; the energy balances. Another may choose a body lesson simply because it’s an experience they haven’t yet known—like enrolling in a demanding course. Walking through pain enriches the soul and deepens empathy. When we’ve worn another’s shoes, we understand their victories and burdens from the inside.
Sometimes symptoms are a barometer of energetic alignment, drawing attention to what needs forgiveness, truth, rest, or love. As the lesson integrates, the body no longer needs to shout.
How do we know what’s at play? If intuition is quiet, begin by tending mind, heart, and spirit. If clarity grows and the condition remains, consider karma, the healers around you, and the lessons for loved ones. The threads are sacred and varied.
Blessing:
May you meet your body with gentleness, your journey with courage, and your healing with trust.
You are right where you need to be, and every breath is guiding you home.
