Fear – false evidence appearing real – is powerful energy to utilize within your spiritual practice. To feel the fear and act anyway propels one into new dimensions of experience. It’s imperative to understand the mechanics of the ego. Fear in the present moment may be an intuitive ping that helps you avoid immediate harm; however, fear in moments of safety or worry about a possible future is a by-product of the mind.
The ego will often bring up one’s deepest subconscious fear and project it onto whatever situation is at hand. Internal statements that create anxiety should be examined. Often, they are scripts that have been imprinted and amplified throughout one’s life. No matter what you are working on, know that you have the capacity to be mindful, compassionate, and empowered. Like everything in our experience, we must choose to cultivate the attributes we wish to embody.
With practice, these facets will strengthen and become a solid foundation for your spiritual journey. Notice where you hold tension in the body. EFT, conscious breathing and physical movement are powerful techniques to release energy and set the stage for new beginnings. You are on a journey of awakening to the truth of who you truly are.
