In each lifetime we focus upon a specific issue that manifests in various forms, typically growing stronger with each iteration until we have true understanding. As we awaken, we bring greater awareness to our lessons and they become powerful aspects of the role we originally chose to play in this life.
When the personality does not seek awakening, the energy around a particular lesson layers upon itself and becomes stronger and it will resurface in the next lifetime (similar to repeating a class in school). The unlearned lessons become deeply ingrained and, without a spontaneous shift in consciousness, become more apparent. These older beings display a great deal of dysfunction, reactivity or fear.
For those on the path of awakening, diligent exploration throughout the lifetime transforms the challenge into a strength. As we age, compassion and kindness become the gifts we share. Picture the old, wise one who provides guidance and counsel, who is willing to laugh at life’s absurdities and teaches by example.
