The Potential Within

The Quiet Power of a Conscious Choice

Years ago, while reading David Hawkins’ Power vs. Force, I encountered an intriguing proposition: one individual operating at a higher level of consciousness could counterbalance thousands operating at lower levels. While the mathematics remain unproven, the distinction between power and force has stayed with me.

If love is more powerful than fear, why can violence so easily overwhelm those who choose peace? How do we stand in our truth when confronted with aggression?

I once witnessed a woman angrily yanking her young son through a parking lot while yelling at him. When she noticed me watching, her anger pivoted toward me. I became frightened and withdrew, troubled by what I’d witnessed and disappointed in my response.

Years later, I encountered them again. This time she was telling her son how stupid he was. Remembering our earlier encounter, I chose a different response. We were at FedEx, making copies, and I found an opportunity to ask for his assistance. I thanked him and told him how smart and helpful he was.

I have no idea what became of that boy, or whether my words made a difference. Yet I learned something about the quiet expression of power.

Consciousness allows us to recognize our reactions, move through them, and choose how we wish to contribute. Sometimes wisdom calls us to speak, sometimes to act, and sometimes to walk away.

While the influence of one conscious individual cannot be calculated, every compassionate choice offers another possibility. When individual integrity becomes collective action; we begin creating a world that reflects the love we wish to experience.

✨Blessing✨
May you recognize the power within your conscious choices.

May compassion guide your response to life’s challenges.

And may your integrity inspire others to discover their own.
