The Potential Within

Temporary Blindness

There are times when we walk headfirst into a karmic situation and later wonder, “How did that happen?” or “Why didn’t I see that coming?” Spiritual practice doesn’t make one immune to challenges; however, it does give us different tools and perspectives that guide us through.

This temporary blindness is necessary. If you knew betrayal was coming, if you knew someone you hired would fail you, if you foresaw the death of a loved one, you would likely take whatever actions you could to mitigate the pain and disruption in your life prior to it happening.

Avoidance of discomfort is not the point of our journey into time and space. Some lessons can only be understood from within the fire of direct experience. Challenges force us to expand into wisdom and discover the strength of character that is waiting to emerge.

That is not to say that the heaviness is inevitable. As we awaken, we tend to utilize our tools as soon as we become aware that we’re mired in a situation that needs to be consciously navigated. Not only do we become more proficient, but victimhood also cannot take hold in the way it once did.

The quickest way out is always through. Turn and face your challenges with the knowledge that your soul has agreed to be tempered in this moment. Grace will meet you there and light the way forward. And above all, remember this: temporary blindness is temporary.

✨Blessing✨
May you honor all aspects of your path as sacred
May you remember that you shine with the light of a thousand suns
And may you walk this journey of discovery with purpose and a clear heart.
