The Potential Within

A Tree Blooms

When we purchased our home in 2015, I was delighted to discover a few young Jacaranda trees growing in the front yard. Year after year, I watched them struggle. They survived, but they did not seem to flourish. My lack of gardening wisdom likely played a part.

Eventually, I spent some time learning about them and adjusted their watering schedule. This year, at last, they bloomed.

Each morning, my heart lifts when I pass beneath their canopy of violet blossoms. Soon, those flowers will drift to the earth, creating a soft lavender carpet beneath their branches—a quiet celebration years in the making.

There were many times I wondered if they had been planted in the wrong place, or if they were simply not meant to thrive. Yet somehow, they seemed to whisper the same message each season: Be patient.

So we learned together. We grew together. And in their own perfect time, they blossomed.

Their journey reminds me of the people we meet who are struggling to find their footing in the world. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is remain present, keep believing, and continue offering opportunities for growth. We cannot force a flower to bloom before its season, nor can we rush the unfolding of a soul.

Then one day, readiness arrives. A single blossom appears. Soon another follows. And before long, what once seemed impossible has become a new reality, vibrant and alive.

Blessing
May you trust the quiet seasons of becoming.
May patience reveal the beauty hidden within every unfolding.
May your heart bloom in its own perfect time, filling the world with color and grace.
