“This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.”
    ~Dalai Lama~

Great beauty can be found in the simple, ordinary things of life. Even the most mundane of tasks take on a sacred quality when approached with awareness, intention and gratitude. It’s important to remember that you dictate how your life unfolds by the energy that you bring to the situations you encounter. When we act out of love, without expectation or attachment, wholly involved in the Now, we become one with life.

Be patient with yourself. Sometimes all that is required is a peaceful alertness as we learn to exist aligned and in tune with the energy of the planet. This is a time full of mystery… like the dawning of a new day, there is a quiet anticipation as the awakening happens all around us. In the silence, limitless possibilities await.

Be aware of your relationship to the world around you. Our interconnectedness is becoming more apparent with each passing moment. As spiritual seekers, we are consciously engaging the truth of Oneness through interactions, gratitude, reflection and exploration.

  • Love and Compassion

“For me, I am driven by two main philosophies: know more today about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You\’d be surprised how far that gets you.”
    ~Neil deGrasse Tyson~
Awareness transforms the way that we walk in the world. Collectively and uniquely, we fumble our way towards enlightenment and as our consciousness expands, we gain a greater understanding of one another and view life from a broader perspective. This dance of awakening calls upon us to give greater consideration to how our actions impact one another as we move forward. Integrity is found in the choices that we make when we\’re alone.
I feel honored when I am witness to loving behavior. I see people picking up trash as they walk their dogs, opening doors for another as they enter the store, working in community gardens, helping those whose voices are not heard and countless other demonstrations of love and compassion. These kindnesses are the by-product of awareness. Rather than being lost in the world of illusion or trapped in their own problems, they reach out – simply and quietly, fulfilling the souls purpose to awaken.
Open your heart to new knowledge today. Hear someone\’s story. Understand a different point of view. Research a new topic. This world is filled with many opportunities to learn from one another, to love one another and to honor each path as sacred.
  • Compassion and Enlightenment

Kindness and awareness work together. Through awareness we understand the underlying beauty of everything and every being”
    ~Amit Ray~

Imagine having the ability to walk through the world untroubled, to tend to those in need while holding a higher frequency of love. Compassion sows the seeds of enlightenment and enlightenment brings greater compassion. The amplification of energy between these two forces allows us to explore life in a unique, empowered, and loving way.

The mantra Oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ is used to transform and awaken. It is said that this chant holds all the elements of Buddhist teaching. When you\’re ready to release limitation and expand your awareness, this is a wonderful tool.

Awaken the love that is your infinite, true nature. Visualize it expanding outward with each breath. Allow it to create an atmosphere of peacefulness and harmony in your experience. Your Presence awakens the Presence in others.

We are the bridge between the mundane and the sacred. As we cultivate the ability to see through the illusions of separation we come to recognize the Oneness that connects us. Practice being aware of your state of consciousness and consciously send love outward whenever possible. It is always possible.

  • Holding Space

    \"\"

\”Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it’s all over.\”
    ~Octavia E. Butler~

To hold space for another is to offer consistent unconditional support while being a calming presence throughout life\’s upheavals. Compassion is a gift that creates space in which another can discover their own strength, awareness and potential. Sometimes, love calls upon us to simply listen without advice or judgment.  Discernment is the ability to be a source of compassionate detachment.

When feeling overwhelmed, act with integrity, do your best and accept what is. Operate from a foundation of wisdom with the understanding that every circumstance works toward the highest good of all involved. There is much more to life than meets the eye. Often, the energetic or spiritual truth of a situation is the opposite of how it appears on the physical plane.

Your energy is transformative. Allow it to shine in such a way that others can navigate the dark night of the soul into the light of awareness and healing.

  • I Am Not Subject to Disappointment

    \"\"
“Attachment constrains our vision so that we are not able to see things from a wider perspective.”
    ~Dalai Lama~
Life ebbs and flows as it will. Humans, suffering from limited perspective, feel the need to fight against what is. The ego creates a story that plays repeatedly in the mind until one believes that things shouldn\’t be the way they are. Then disappointment sets in.
With this in mind we can view disappointment as a barometer. The level of discomfort is an indicator of how much attachment we have had to a particular idea, person, or item. Attachment causes suffering.
Fortunately, this is an energy that can be transformed into acceptance. The light of conscious awareness transforms all that it shines upon. Sometimes, the shift can happen immediately once the attachment has been observed and recognized. Then, we can begin the process of seeking the lesson in the challenge.
Everything works toward the highest good for all involved. Our limited vision gives us the situation as interpreted by the ego; however, the soul is always interested in expansion. Empowerment is acting from the heart and allowing circumstances to unfold as they will.  You are right where you need to be.
