The authentic life

Act with integrity, do your best, accept what is.

“I am aware that what I do not want to change is exactly what I need to change the most.”
~Louise Hay~

In order to live authentically, we must drop our attachment to the roles we play, the goals for which we strive and the illusions that silently run our lives.  Slowly, we empty “the basket of me” until we’re left with nothing but pure, limitless potential.

Live with total honesty. Be willing to see yourself clearly, objectively recognizing self-made limitations and deeply held beliefs. Many, when faced with moments of freedom and silence, seek to fill the day with busyness, goals, other people and entertainment to mask the quivering anxiety that arises. Rather than put pressure on yourself to “be evolved” and seek a life of perfection, choose to treat yourself with kindness when you do falter. It’s part of the process.

The more present you are, the more peace you’ll experience. Use this moment as a barometer – are you happy, contented, at ease? Look within. The answers you seek are within you.

Today my intention is to live more honestly and more awake. Every day I learn something new.
