The addiction of blaming

Mastery is taking complete responsibility for your own experiences.

“Blaming is an addiction. Justifying ourselves can keep us lost in our stories for hours, days, and even years. Blaming puts the focus on the perceived faults of the other and lets us evade the necessity of directing our attention inward. Blame always separates, always disconnects. Overcoming addiction to blaming is an absolute prerequisite to experiencing the connectedness that is the essence of who we are.”          ~Ezra Bayda~

No matter what unfolds in your experience, respond to it as if you had purposely chosen it. As an awakening soul, you have the capability to find the lesson or the gift within any type of situation; therefore, you can transform challenges into aspects of your strength and insight.

Those who reside at higher levels of consciousness understand that life happens for them, rather than to them. Your spirit seeks only to awaken and the key to awakening is found within. This understanding shifts us from victimhood to empowerment.

See how often the ego seeks to lay blame – on society, traffic, co-workers, upbringing or perceived limitations (ah… the infamous “I can’t”) and pause when needed. The only thing over which you have any control is how you choose to respond to the present moment. Own it, use it and see the spark of your awareness come to light.

Today my intention is to choose to drop the limiting story-lines of my life.
