Enter Into Stillness

“Whenever you deeply accept this moment as it is — no matter what form it takes — you are still, you are at peace.”

~Eckhart Tolle~

This moment is the gateway to enlightenment. In the midst of hyperbole and distraction lies an infinite well of peace from which you can drink. Honor your journey as sacred by drinking deeply of the love, light and laughter of the universe.

Periodically choose to detach from worldly limitation and enter into the stillness of infinite possibility. Within the gap between words, breaths, heartbeats or movement we can catch a glimpse of  life’s limitless potential. There is no need to fill it that silence with analytical thought or action. Just be present. Your conscious awareness activates inner wisdom and peace.

Some call this the space of no mind. Detachment allows us to observe all that unfolds with greater clarity. From the vantage point of awareness, you may discover greater compassion, especially for those who are momentarily caught in the mechanisms of the mind. Your light is transformative, not only for yourself, but also for those around you.

Engage life’s magic through stillness. Consciousness seeks to experience itself through you. When distractions are removed, what remains? Love.

Finding Gratitude in Grief

“In some ways, [gratitude] makes [grief] more profound, because it allows you to look at it. It allows you to examine your grief in a way that it is not, like, holding up red hot ember in your hands, but rather seeing that pain as something that can warm you and light your knowledge of what other people might be going through.”

~Stephen Colbert”

Compassion is learned through experience. In Presence, we can create space around emotions that arise and transform our wounds into empowerment. Challenges help us to discover facets of insight and awareness that are ready to shine. When you can turn toward your grief and embrace it, it becomes a powerful aspect of your awakening.

Our history does not define us, but it does inform us. Rather than thinking the challenge shouldn’t have occurred, or believing the “if only” created by the mind, see everything as part of the perfect unfoldment of your life, the exemplary movement of love and loss, lessons and values that can only come through depth of emotion.

Our shared humanity is the key to spiritual awakening. We all walk the same journey and we can find joy in walking one another home.

Creating a Sacred Space

“I love myself, therefore I provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fulfills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in. I fill the rooms with the vibration of Love, so that all who enter, myself included, will feel the love and be nourished by it.” ~Louise Hay~
Consider your home a sacred space. Any emotions that we experience emit powerful vibrations that remain behind; therefore, focus upon being conscious of what you create or allow around you. Setting intentions, smudging, playing peaceful music or lighting candles to shift the energy can have a dramatic impact.

At least once a month, open a few windows or doors and cleanse the space with white sage, lavender/sage spray or pure tones saying, “Negativity out! Only love, joy and beauty remain. Today, let this space be a space of peace, power, growth and transformation.” Any heavy or unbalanced energy will dissipate and you’ll create a lighter, empowered feeling that will impact all who enter your space.

You have more power than you realize and cleansing your space is a great way consciously step into your role as an empowered co-creator. Be the peace you wish to see in the world.

Love and Understanding

“We’re fascinated by the words–but where we meet is in the silence behind them.”

~Ram Dass~

Compassion and understanding are the side effects of conscious listening. Whenever you choose to bring an open heart to your meeting place, you create an opportunity to learn something new. In this space of awareness, you’ll discover an alternative viewpoint, garner understanding of others’ challenges or fears and have a greater opportunity to move into love.Love and judgment cannot coexist in the same space. Look upon yourself with compassion. Look upon others with compassion. Seek only to bring the best version of yourself to your life experiences. This is even more important within the workings of the mind. Every thought sends energy out into the universe. Purposely send kindness whenever possible… and as the Dalai Lama says, “It is always possible.”

Consciousness is rooted in the deep stillness of your being. It expands your energy to touch the Divine, provides clarity and brings understanding, not through the mechanisms of the mind, but through harmony with the pulse of life itself. See yourself as the observer who acts and loves and holds space while cultivating the art of detached compassion – for yourself, for those who grace your life with their presence and for the world.

Patterns of Energy

“You never know how and when any life experience will appear. You never know when a coincidence will lead to the opportunity of a lifetime.”
~Deepak Chopra~

At any given moment, infinite patterns are developing because you are constantly sending energy out into the Universe. This “behind the scenes” movement of energy  often takes some time to be revealed, recognized and appreciated. Walk forward with the knowledge that life is constantly working on your behalf.

When you start paying attention, you’ll discover threads that weave the tapestry of your life. Learn how to participate by being fully present, notice what you hear, feel, smell, touch and see. Turn off the mind and simply notice what is around you. Recognize that whatever you place your attention upon becomes more prominent in your experience.
Notice coincidences. The more unusual, the stronger the message. Observe your life. Journal about your experiences or replay your day as you fall asleep. Watch it like a movie – no judgment, just be the witness. Your dreams may connect the dots and provide more insight.
You are a vibrant participant in the dance of existence and there is far more to life than meets the eye. Live with an open heart and know that you can create the life of your dreams.

Creating Space

“There’s a world of difference between insisting on someone’s doing something and establishing an atmosphere in which that person can grow into wanting to do it.”

~Mr.Rogers~

One role of the awakening spirit is to inspire change. By being a living example of consciousness in motion, we can demonstrate how love appears in the world of form. Like water eroding rock, this approach is often slow, yet yields permanent results. Forcing change is more akin to a flash flood that momentarily shifts and destroys. In order to help others to awaken, we must first create space in which transformation can occur.

Let your life be your message. Be gentle and consistent, and above all,  be authentic. The human experience is often a dance between the spiritual and the mundane, and discovering the joy of living betwixt the two. When others seem lost in ego and illusion, be the light that illuminates truth. Those seeking peacefulness and connection will emulate what you share.

You have chosen to be here now for a specific purpose. The easiest way to find that purpose is to simply reside in the fullness of who you are. Continue to explore, embrace change and be an inspiration.

To Love…

“See and live life for the wonderful gift that it is …acknowledging everyone’s beauty, flaws, frailty, strength, gifts and possibilities. Honor and cherish it and above all be loving and compassionate. Here is the birthplace of inner and worldly peace.”

~Rasheed Ogunlaru~

To live in the frequency of love is to honor all that you see as sacred. As you expand in consciousness, it becomes easier to see through the mechanisms of the ego and the roles that people play. Old souls often view the world differently and must learn to walk in their truth, even in the face of ridicule.

The Tao te Ching says that the laughter of the unawakened is a necessary aspect of our collective experience. Rather than trying to change their minds, seek to find a way to love the soul that teaches through adversity. From them we learn self control, confidence, non-reactivity and patience.

We all walk the same path. Though we may be at differing levels of consciousness, love is the goal. Find your way by recognizing and honoring the potential within you, and there will come a time when the light of love shines so brightly that all shadows will be dispelled.

Walk Gently

“Peace is found not through seeking peace, but through residing completely in what is.”
~Ezra Bayda~

The awakened spirit walks gently through life, seeking to be present and peaceful. This creates a powerful blending of the spiritual and the mundane.

Living a spiritual life is not some perfection that you will experience at some point in the future. It is the consistent practice of bringing a sense of peace and inner purpose to your journey as best as you can, from where you are with what you have. As we awaken, we naturally cultivate more tools and a greater ability to navigate through the challenges and beauty of life.
Listen to the prompting of your inner guidance. Celebrate your breakthroughs while learning from the challenges that arise. Everything works toward your highest good – always. With this in mind, fear departs as we take a greater role in what we choose to create and how we interpret the circumstances in which we find ourselves.
Trust your inner wisdom. You will draw in the teachers and experiences that are most appropriate for your journey. See each moment only as an opportunity to shine. Infinite gifts of love are waiting to be discovered.

Integrity and Awareness

“Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.”

~Ralph Waldo Emerson~

When you embrace your unique way of being in the world and open your heart and mind to new energy, you become a powerful co-creator in your daily experience. A healthy foundation is built on integrity and awareness. Your willingness to keep evolving while living in alignment with your truths allows you the freedom to be consistent in the midst of transformation.

This is where judgment stops. Energetically, we cannot hold the vibration of judgment and love in the same space because they are in opposite realms of experience. The best way to release judgment is to ensure that you are acting with integrity and doing your best. With nothing out of balance, we can see without labeling, forgive without drama and navigate our days with patience and peace.

Life is your canvas, your blank page, a song that is waiting to be played… add to it often. Let it change as you change knowing that the slightest adjustments can have the greatest impact. What we choose to create with our energy matters. Each us of adds something beautiful and unique to our collective experience.

We Are One

“The way of the miracle-worker is to see all human behavior as one of two things: either love, or a call for love.”

~Marianne Williamson~

There is no “other” – no enemies or evil to fight against. There is only awakening. Though we experience life from varying levels of consciousness we share the same journey, one that ultimately leads to wisdom, healing and enlightenment.

The ego seeks to create a sense of separation. Casting judgment is divisive and it distracts us from looking within. As long as one perceives the need to fight against another, healing remains elusive.

Seek to find the spark of love in every situation. Compassion opens the doors of perception and allows us to see beyond the roles of this lifetime to the soul. From this space of awareness we have the capability to heal our own wounds; thereby eliminating the spiritual need for that particular conflict in our experience.

Once healing has occurred, a shift in perception allows us to truly be grateful for the lessons, emotional intensity decreases and our knowledge of Oneness reaches new depth and dimension.

All the answers lie within you. Advice from others may point you in one direction or another; however, you must trust your own instincts. Your path is unique.
