Healing in Moonlight

“Let the magical night sky with beautiful music be your backdrop. Make the moon and stars your friends because they know your secrets.”
~Hiral Nagda~

Working with full moon energy is a powerful way to process through old wounds while setting intentions for the next phase of your experience. Full moon in Libra supports the reexamination of recent emotional lessons and helps to create balance while one gently works with the intensity surrounding those issues. Awareness sets the stage for change.

Make friends with the moon. Let her gentle, reflective light enhance your interpretation of the past. The receptive side of your nature is ready to receive insight and inspiration. Honor the path of your awakening by recognizing the perfection of your journey. Activate conscious awareness through art, yoga, music, chanting, or meditation.

Moonlight is reflective; therefore, prepare for insights to be revealed. You may consider writing as you commune with the night. Hold space, be open and receptive and take whatever time is required for you to process through any information you receive. Act from the heart, create healthy boundaries and make make your emotional balance a priority. This very personal journey into the shadows will illuminate your soul.

Separation

Some people grace your life for a moment, others for a lifetime… and everything possible in between.
Accept whatever unfolds in your experience. People enter our lives to offer new insights, ideas, feelings and lessons, staying as long as our soul requires. For those with whom we share karmic contracts, interactions may be filled with the emotional highs and lows of human connection; however, they always offer opportunities to expand our consciousness and grow in ways that we’ve never imagined. When emotions become more neutral it is an indication that the contract is complete. Bless those who have graced your life. See them as the loving teachers that they are and send them on their way with encouragement and gratitude. The time spent apart is infinitesimal compared to the bond of eternity, wholeness and Oneness that we share.

When you choose to live in acceptance rather than spend your vital and precious energy clinging to the past, you are free to live life empowered, joyful and fully anchored in the Now. At the deepest level, all things are one. There is no separation and our purpose is simply to awaken to this knowledge while helping one another along the way.

Moondance

The moon represents the Divine Feminine and it’s no wonder that it captures the very essence of emotion and human experience. She teaches us to be still, receptive, free-flowing and changeable. The same energy that governs the tidal pull of the planet moves within us as well. Cyclical aspects of growth and transformation impact our collective psyche.

Walking in moonlight can be a mystical experience. When you need a gentle recharge, try making friends with the night. Step into stillness and let her ancient magic inspire new facets of growth to emerge. There’s something beautiful about the gentle, silvery light that guides our walk through dancing shadows.

It’s powerful to explore emotional patterns. Pay attention to the events of your life and the reactions they evoke. Turn inward and go deeper. There you will discover hidden aspects that are often overlooked during the busyness of the day. Let the gentle flow of your inner tidal pull transform your experience, establishing wholeness. The blend of dark and light come together in creativity and revelation.

Dreamwork provides access to the subconscious realm and symbolic messages that often hold the key to personal breakthrough and insight. Wherever your journey leads, honor the gentleness of the night.

The Human Experience

The whole point of being human is to enjoy the various aspects of physical life… as beings of spirit, we had never experienced the taste of chocolate, known the warmth of a hug, or felt the intensity of emotions that arise from falling in love or feeling disappointment.

And so the experiment began. As One, we created a playground within the realm of time and space. We decided to dance in the arms of the Divine by taking a journey into new levels of illusion, and getting immersed within the dream, forgot the original point of human existence… experience.
However, even that forgetting was something that the infinite source of love had not experienced before and so, it too, fulfills an important aspect of a grander design – the joy of awakening.
Choose to slow down and savor all the tiny, exquisite aspects of being human today. Without inner dialogue or mind-made labels, simply be present with whatever unfolds. Let every action, sensation and experience be considered sacred. Consciously enjoy your food or an engaging conversation, run your fingertips across various textures, revel in your dog’s smile and take the time to enjoy the beauty and majesty of being human.

Soul Healing

“Where we stopped dancing, singing, being enchanted by stories, or finding comfort in silence is where we have experienced the loss of soul. Dancing, singing, storytelling, and silence are the four universal healing salves.”
~Gabrielle Roth~

There are times when we must go inward, feel deeply and allow healing to begin.

The most profound spiritual work is often done alone. It’s helpful to enter the stillness of the present moment, step away from the input of others, feel deeply and undergo a cleansing. Getting near water can be helpful with this process – visit the ocean, step into a stream, immerse yourself in a lake or even use your shower as a conscious place of healing.

In times of uncertainly and re-evaluation, allow the element of water to inspire a free flow of feelings. This cleansing process begins to heal old wounds while creating a space where clarity can emerge. Tears are powerful. They come when we need emotional release as well as being  spontaneous indicators of the flow of love from the Divine in times of breakthrough and joy.

Give yourself freedom to cleanse mind, body and spirit. Honor your tears as sacred for they indicate the depth of your openness and willingness to grow.

Self-Care

You don’t have to be angry, triggered, depressed or fed up in order to create change. When you make self-care a priority, your balance will help you remain clear and calm in the midst of trouble. It will also set a baseline energy in your experience that will make it easier to notice when something feels off, thus allowing you to address it in the early stages of development.

The human experience is a paradoxical one. We learn through emotion and yet often struggle to manage and express our emotions in healthy ways. By bringing Presence into your experience of the Now, you can become the observer. Notice how you feel in response to events in your life situation, world events or your vision of the future, and honor your feelings. Move as quickly as you can into the heart-driven knowledge that there is a blessing inherent in every situation. You are a child of light. You are safe, loved, supported and guided each and every step of the way. Recognize the importance of creating inner harmony and consciously acting from a space of personal integrity. As an old soul, your perception will likely be far different from that of the masses. This is a vital aspect of your spiritual growth. You can hold space while playing your role in the awakening consciousness of the planet.

The Clouds of Emotion

“Let’s build a happy, little cloud that floats around in the sky.”
~Bob Ross~

Like clouds, emotions are mutable. Sometimes light and wispy, sometimes dark and full of the promise of rain, but always moving endlessly on the air current. You can use conscious breathing as a way of being an active participant in moving the clouds along. When emotions arise, be observant. They always show truths that lie beneath the surface and then you can actively work with them.

While it’s important to feel your emotions fully, it’s equally important to remember that they are temporary. The saying “This too shall pass” is true in every circumstance, whether joyful or challenging. In every moment you have an opportunity to cultivate a greater understanding of yourself and the world you create around you. See yourself as a master in the process of awakening.

For me, the clouds in the sky are a beautiful, ever-evolving work of art. Many times throughout the day I just stop to appreciate the beauty and watch the changes. The moment of stillness is a simple way to honor the sacredness of creation that is always in motion.

Emotions

“All through your life your soul takes care of you…your soul is alive and awakened, gathering, sheltering and guiding your ways and days in the world. In effect, your soul is your secret shelter.”
~John O’Donohue~
Do not fear the emotional moments of your experience for they come as teachers, grabbing your attention as they direct you on an inward journey. Feelings appear, often at unexpected times and we should honor them as sacred. Observe the thoughts that arise with them. You may discover something that is ready to be healed and released.
It’s important to dive beneath the story and turbulence to the calm and quiet of still waters. No matter how intense the situation, you carry this peace within you. If something is important enough to take over your experience, it is important enough to explore. Often, the trigger has very little to do with the issue at the core of your upset.
Just as the earth and air seem a little more pure after a good rain, so too, will your spirit feel cleared out and lighter. As an awakening master, you have the power to transform intensity into empowerment. You soul knows exactly what it is doing.
