Shine from within

Retreat into quiet strength.
In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. All is well in my world.
~Louise Hay~
In the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu teaches:

“Should you want to contain something,
you must deliberately let it expand.
Should you want to weaken something,
you must deliberately let it grow strong.
Should you want to eliminate something,
you must deliberately allow it to flourish.
Should you want to take something away,
you must deliberately grant it access.

The lesson here is called
the wisdom of obscurity.
The gentle outlasts the strong.
The obscure outlasts the obvious.”

In this world of competition, name dropping and “Notice me!” mentality, we are called upon to change the way we measure our value. Retreat into quiet strength and release the need to compare or stand out. Allow.

When the ego demands that you interject an opinion or share something you have accomplished, stop and observe the thoughts that are driving an action to seek validation from outside yourself. Instead, purposely do the opposite. Learn from the contrasts in your life. Draw little or no attention to yourself and simply shine from within.

Today my intention is to be soft and gentle, supportive and compassionate. All that I need is already here.
