The Joy of Infinite Possibility

No matter how far you have come, remember this… you have only just begun.
“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next.
Delicious Ambiguity.”
~Gilda Radner~

We are here to explore the many facets of love. As we evolve, the patterns that once served us so well need to shift. This is simply the nature of expansion and is the basis of our journey as masters in the process of awakening. Consider the various belief systems and circumstances you’ve explored as stepping stones that have provided a brief foundation for your life experience. Never stop learning.

Old souls typically explore many ideas and teachings and ultimately work with a blend of truths that speak to their soul. This is normal. The time for orderly, structured belief systems has passed. Be willing to see yourself as a channel for the light of consciousness.

Let your life be a dance of discovery. Everyone you encounter has the potential to teach you something new. When we can bring a sense of humility and openness to our interactions, we stand on the threshold of infinite possibility.

You Are Love

Choose to fall madly in love with life.

“Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It’s not “I love you” for this or that reason, not “I love you if you love me.” It’s love for no reason, love without an object. It’s just sitting in love, a love that incorporates the chair and the room and permeates everything around. The thinking mind is extinguished in love.”
~Ram Dass~

Seek love – in the mirror, in the breeze, within life… Love resides at the core of everything we experience; however, one must be alert to perceive it. You may hear the mind saying, “The world is filled with hatred. There is no love in violence.” Look beyond the obvious. Love and hate are two sides of the same contrasting experience. One cannot exist without the other. Therefore, hatred ultimately teaches us about the strength and truth of love.
Recognizing love becomes easier when you have learned to love yourself. Without the distraction of negative or critical self-talk, we are able to see with the heart. If you cannot find love in a given situation, be the one to bring love to it. Your light can transform the darkness.
The energy of Oneness permeates all of existence. It connects us. It frees us and allows our energy to expand to touch the world with something immensely powerful and transformative.

Breakthroughs in Consciousness

In every moment we have a choice: evolve or repeat.

“Only the individual can rise to the heights of consciousness and awareness. The more you belong to the crowd, the deeper you fall into darkness.”
~Osho~

Your journey is unique, yet shared with every other individual on the planet. Ultimately, each of us must have our own breakthroughs while releasing all that blocks us from the ability to give and receive love.

The journey is fraught with unknown adventures and the only way to transcend to higher levels of consciousness is to experience your adventures with an open heart. Turn and face your fears. Know that you have the insight and wherewithal to rise above and shine like the brightest star in the heavens.

Make this your moment of transformation. Seek out the mystery of your individuality and let it inform the shape of your soul. There is a call to love happening now. Answer that calling in a way that is in alignment with your true nature and your life’s purpose will be revealed.

Collective Awakening

Everything we experience offers another opportunity to awaken.

“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”
~Albert Einstein~

Each of us plays a part in the collective awakening of the planet. Start by going within. Have the courage to face your own shadows and shine the light of consciousness upon them. This purposeful observation and awareness begins the transformation. The more peaceful you are on the inner, the more compassion and kindness you will demonstrate in your interactions.

There are various aspects to spiritual awakening: personal, ancestral, collective. We begin by focusing on the self, healing old wounds, releasing judgment and anger and discovering healthy empowerment. But growth doesn’t end there. Our expanding sense of “We are One” takes on new meaning as we open our hearts to show others the way. By teaching we anchor our knowledge and are compelled to apply it consistently in our life situations.
Personal evolution transforms into collective growth. The members of our soul group are also affected and will share in the new energy we emit. As you clear your own karmic imbalances, it frees those spirits to explore new aspects of their own awakening.
We are called upon to participate in a living, evolving experience of mutual awakening as the highest form of awareness. Love, teach, be an example… repeat.

Compassionate Detachment

I hold no cherished outcome… I am not subject to disappointment.
~From the Celtic Vows of Friendship~
“May I live this day…
Compassionate of heart,
Clear in word,
Gracious in awareness,
Courageous in thought,
Generous in love.
~John O’Donohue~
Attachment creates pain. We want things to be a certain way, we cling to self-imposed ideals of how life should be and when events seem to spiral out of control, we resist. All of this discomfort springs from the belief that we shouldn’t have any problems. Begin to create a healthy form of detachment by seeing the events of life only as the ebb and flow of experience. Know instead, that whatever unfolds is perfect for your growth and perfect for the awakening of all involved. This is how we transform challenges into empowerment.
Through complete surrender we begin to realize that peace always resides underneath the storms of thought. When we drop the need to resist, the heart begins to awaken. Compassion, for ourselves and others, allows us to see beyond the judgments of the mind and embrace whatever life has to offer. You are a child of light. Dive deeply into the present moment and see what you discover.

Never Stop Learning

Let your dreams expand into new dimensions.

“It’s from being melancholy and having my human down experiences that I learn, that I overcome, that I transform – and these realizations I put into song. That’s what I choose to put in my backpack and carry with me around the world.”
~Jason Mraz~

Past achievements, titles, relationships, challenges and experiences have all contributed to the person you are today. When you choose to view your history as a series of stepping stones without being attached to the recognition or stories, you will see the purpose each has played in your growth.

Keep moving forward. Embrace who you are now – a master in the process of awakening – and allow joy and passion to lead you onward. Empowerment is taking full responsibility for every aspect of your experience.

Likewise, observe those who grace your life. Encourage them to rise a little farther. Help them to recognize the beauty of their journey and all that waits discovery. The greatest gift that you can give another is to provide the space in which a transformation can occur.

Miracles await. When we really pay attention, everything and everyone becomes our teacher. Never stop learning… for the dance of awakening has just begun.

Positive Changes

Treat yourself well.

“When you’re at peace with yourself and love yourself, it is virtually impossible to do things to yourself that are destructive.”
~Wayne Dyer~

No matter what changes you wish you create in your experience, begin with self-love. When you are balanced and joyful you will have more compassion and quality time to give. Your gifts of peaceful mindfulness will create space for more beauty in your own life.

With the best of intentions, many seem to constantly put others first while neglecting themselves. This works until the server gets drained and off-balance. If positive action isn’t taken, the body will create an illness or pain in order to provide a “valid” reason to rest.

Self love prompts us to take moments to recharge. We begin to choose actions that nurture mind, body and spirit. We learn to operate with clarity about energetic boundaries in order to function well while staying in balance. Make peace of mind a priority and honor yourself as sacred. Positive changes will naturally flow throughout your life experience.

Thought

When we rise above thought, we enter the Bliss of Being.

Thought-stories come and go like clouds… seemingly there, but yet on close inspection are empty of meaning. Consciousness, like the sky, remains ever untouched, open, free and meaningless.
~Michael Jeffreys~

Over-active mind activity distracts from the ability to fully experience the beauty and potential of the present moment. While in the grip of obsessive thought, one can literally become lost within the labyrinths of the mind. Layers build upon one another until the truth of the soul is obscured by a self-made prison.

One sign of spiritual evolution is the ability to recognize unconscious behavior when it surfaces within you. Self awareness indicates that you are becoming more awake. As you perfect your ability to notice and shift the tenor of limiting thought, you will open pathways to healing and balance.

Be patient with yourself throughout this process. The more expanded your consciousness, the more subtle the ego will need to be… but it’s still just the ego, initiating thoughts that are visitors you can allow in or not, nothing more. You are the field of presence in which thought occurs – an infinite, beautiful soul in the process of awakening.

Beyond Words

It’s impossible to explain the Infinite. Live beyond words.

Where can I find a man who has forgotten words so I can talk with him?
~Zhuangzi~

Allow the mystery of life to unfold as it will. When we choose to live beyond words, we open ourselves to the fullness of experience. The process of participation teaches us of our inter-connectedness with all things.

During your journey today notice how often you label what you see. Observe how the label initially satisfies the ego while limiting how you move through the present moment. (If you’ve seen one oak tree, you’ve seen them all…) Rather than labeling the bird or tree or raindrop, simply experience it with all your senses.

Seek to befriend the mystery of life that surrounds you. With the innocence and wonder of a child, immerse yourself within it. Participation will teach you new ways to experience the world.

Be Still

Acceptance is the foundation of an empowered and balanced life.

“Learning how to be still, to really be still and let life happen – that stillness becomes a radiance.”
~Morgan Freeman~

When you can remember to stop, breathe and be, a transformative energy begins to flow throughout your experience. All of your decisions and subsequent actions will come from a place of balance and carry within them a heightened source of energy that is not diffused by ego-generated thought or reactivity.

Empowerment has nothing to do with exercising power over others or using your intention to make things unfold the way you desire. Rather, it is displayed in the way you consciously choose to respond to whatever unfolds in the present moment.

Frantic energy breeds chaos and limitation, whereas stillness ignites unlimited potential and possibility. Give yourself spaces of silence and know that you are blessed by all things. You stand at the threshold of compassionate awareness and clarity.
